Expensive, unprofessional auto electrician.

Had a start problem and had it trailered to "All Car Solutions" after waiting days without use, due to their business commitments. On picking it up, spoke to the director Chris Harding who assured me a stop/start battery had been fitted and a 5am blown fuse.
On receiving the bill, I had been charged £132 for a diagnoses check, £132 for the battery, £54 half hour labour charge, and £6 for consumables (fuse). A total of £324.
At home the following day I discovered the battery was not a stop/start one, so decided to confront Mr Harding of an excessive cost for diagnoses and the instillation of a sub standard battery, not applicable to the car. His excuse was that he swapped like for like, but surely was his responsibility to put in the correct component. On agreeing to exchange it, arranged for me to visit a battery company who would swap the installed battery for a correct one. On arriving the battery company wanted me to pay the monetary difference of £25.18 before the exchange could take place as Mr Harding refused to cover the cost of his mistake taking the total cost of a battery and fuse to £349.18. "unbelievable"
In my opinion, I gave Mr Harding an opportunity to reduce my bill of excessiveness, instead he charged extra for his mistake. (a wrong battery).
Beware of excessive unarranged charges, and poor quality professionalism.
