Selling a Feeling, Not Real Value

She was recommended to me by someone I really respect, so I decided to try a few of her programs. At first, I was under her spell. She’s very skilled at making people feel special simply through association with her, and at creating the illusion that all your dreams will come true. Over time, however, I realised that what she actually sells is just that feeling. There are no concrete tools, techniques, or clear guidance. It’s mostly vague talk about "energy", without anything you can realistically apply in real life. As a result, people end up copying her because they don’t know what else to do. I’m concerned that it operates more like a closed loop, similar to a pyramid structure, where money circulates within her system rather than creating any real value. What she teaches just doesn’t build any skills or provide knowledge that is useful outside of "her world". And because she never clearly defines what service she provides, it’s nearly impossible to hold her accountable if things don’t work out. You end up paying a huge amount of money without any real protection.

I did the AFE for a year

I did the AFE for a year, and I’m sorry to say that I spent more than €22,000 and received not that equivalent in value. There were a lot of words and courses, but no real application that I could use or that truly changed my life.

I now work with a coach where I pay what I used to pay for one month of AFE for an entire year — and I have transformed and changed so much. I feel more confident, stronger, and more connected than ever before.

There is also something else that really bothers me. When she shares the story about being broke and sleeping in a parking lot somewhere, she says she suddenly woke up, heard a loud noise, and then saw a woman falling from the sky and landing on the ground.

This is actually called perceptual completion. The woman had already landed — and the part about “falling from the sky” is something the brain automatically constructs to make sense of the situation and complete the story.

So it makes me wonder what else the mind can create that feels real, but may not actually be accurate.

However, I still feel Melanie means well, even though it seems like she is not fully aware of what she is doing.

Her income claims are just affirmations

It is very disheartening to learn on the inside of the program that her 100M claims, 1M days and 1M hours are just affirmations.

I thought I was signing up to learn from someone who achieved something remarkable but she simply uses affirmations in a slimy way that make them look like facts.

Looking back, the signs were all there. Half of her instagram followers are men from brazil, not clients making 1M months like she proclaims. When she posts those announcements, I learned that those "testimonials" are also affirmations because she wants to attract that in the future.

I should also add that many of her other testimonials are written in "affirmation" form. So when you see people claiming to have worked with her to have reached certain income goals, those are just those clients using the manifestation technique of "affirming" in hopes such affirmation will bring them the desired result.

I think if I had opened my eyes I would have been able to see that she is a very troubled woman using affirmations and instagram aesthetic to feel important.

Take my word for it, you won't learn anything more inside her program than what's in the word salads she shares on her instagram posts.

World-Class Mentorship That Elevates Your Entire Life

I’ve been in Melanie Ann Layer’s world since December 2021; starting with AFE and now in House of Haute, and she’s the mentor I would choose again and again without a second of hesitation.

What I love and respect most about Melanie is her integrity. She leads with such unwavering authenticity and sets a standard of excellence that is truly rare to find. Being around her makes you feel powerful, seen, and capable of so much more than you ever imagined.

Because of her brilliant mentorship and programs, my brand, and my business, and everything that is important in my life have exponentially grown in ways I could have only dreamed of before. Her world-class brand and the way she treats her clients is beyond extraordinary.

Working with her has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!
