Absolutely great health club
I first joined Alpine back in 1995 and, due to various normal life events, rejoined in January 2025.
I will specifically mention James and Enzo as they have been my 'constant' interaction at the club since I rejoined. They are real assets to the club. Their enthusiasm is infectious and, if I'm having a 'struggle' to get into my mojo on a particular day, they are there to boost and motivate me. They will challenge me whilst I'm doing my workout - come and tell me I can up my weights on a particular machine and stand by me to keep me motivated whilst I do it, proving to me that it's possible. This is a real positive boost for me (both mentally and physically), and without them doing this, I really don't think I would challenge myself to progress, I feel I'd just 'plateau' and 'plod' with my programme. This is exactly what I need so please don't stop!
The healthy banter I have with you guys whilst I'm doing my workout puts a smile on my face and I always feel fab when I leave the gym - it's a real sense of satisfaction and achievement.
The gym has a real friendly feel to it - there's no air of pretense and no judgement of what you're capable of, or not in my case!
I've had 2 fitness assessments with Enzo since I rejoined and on both of them I'm chuffed to say that I've shown improvement. This is great motivation for me to continue to challenge myself. I get a real sense of 'I can do this' whenever I doubt myself.
James devises my new programmes and always asks what I'm looking to achieve from them. If there's a particular piece of equipment I don't really like he will give me an alternative to choose from, as opposed to just missing it out altogether.
Anyone thinking of joining the club - just do it - as you won't regret it. The fact that I've rejoined the Alpine after a number of years is testament to it's longevity.
To all of the Alpine Team - keep up with the great work!
Thank you.
