Half Tent - 1-person tent Not happy with this tent ,its been opened before. Very creased ! thinking of shutting my account .it was lucky i didn't buy the RUCKSACK from you,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I simply cant trust you.. will give a poor rating on trust pilot . don't worry i will be open and will give the account number .very poor indeed... Excellent service, good communications and great prices. But, there are some downsides. First, delivery takes longer than you might expect from a UK-based retailer. Second, you will get a fair amount of generic correspondence in German ( I think it’s their excellent mail order rules)!
Also, I have not needed to return anything yet, although that all looks OK.

Great product, great price, great service

Always a great service from Alpine Trek. More often than not the best prices for the products. I’ve made quite a few purchases now. The Klarna payment options is always a help too if making an expensive purchase.

The delivery time on their website was 3-5 working days for the product I was going to buy. Having had bad experiences with their delivery times before, I called up to check if that is correct and if I'd get reliable tracking (as the item was almost £1k in value). They straight away said that it was just a system estimate, and since the item is coming through customs, it will be 12-14 days, but the tracking will be available from the start. The product got here after 22 days. Tracking did not work. The Alpinetrek staff was not able to help at any stage or tell me when I'd get the delivery. I won't be buying from them again.

I ordered an item on Sunday afternoon at 3.00pm, realised I had miss ordered and cancelled at at 16.19pm, just one hour and 19 minutes later.
They informed me they could not cancel it as it was already being shipped, however I didn’t actually get any notification that order was complete and being shipped until two days later on Tuesday morning!
I have repeatedly asked them to cancel order, met total refusal, feel like I’m dealing with automated AI not human beings.
They say I have to pay postage for the return once it gets delivered in six to eight days.
I should not have to pay for return postage when they had two whole days to cancel order before they actually shipped it!
It’s quite ridiculous!!!

Aplinetrek website was great, easy to find what I needed and order. After I ordered I got a friendly confirmation order and than another email leting me know when I will get my articles. I got my 3 items in time, unique quality ski goggles, good leather gloves and really soft, warm merino bottom baselayer.
Very pleased and I will order again from Alpinetrek!

P.S. Checking my email I confirm that I have ordered on the 14th of Feb, on 17th they wrote me again confirming delivery and that I will receive my order in 4-5 working days. On 20th I received my package.

Keeping you informed throughout the process of delivery. My only fault is they don't deliver directly to Northern Ireland. I had to have my package sent to my son in London so he could forward on to me.

Amazing experience. Buying shoes can be tricky to get size right. The website’s inbuilt size guide made it spot on. Delivery was speedy and updates frequent. Finally, the packaging was very nice (nicer than Amazon).

I don’t normally leave reviews but this is the second time I’ve ordered from a country outside the UK and it has been the polar opposite of my last (dreadful) experience.
Alpinetrek appear to ship from Germany. I tried the hiking boots on in a local store to check the size and ordered. Who wouldn’t with a £60 difference in price!
Ordering was easy, regular (automated) updates and Amazon UK delivery updates provided once they’d arrived here.
Quick delivery too (1 week).
I imagine returns are awkward but just make sure what your ordering is the right size.

Delivery takes a long time. Refunds are very slow to process. Still waiting for goods sent 2 months ago. Description of items is good and sizing guides helpful. Really good range of products to choose from. Deals often interesting.
