They split my order into two shipments. I only received the first shipment. The second was delivered to the wrong address, and the company refused to issue a refund.

I returned the first shipment that I did receive, but they never refunded me for it either, even though their own tracking information shows they received the return. In the end, I paid for items I never received and never received a refund for the items I returned. Very disappointing customer service.

I had a great experience ordering from Altitude Sports. They offer an excellent selection of brands and products. I contacted their customer service regarding an issue with my order, and they resolved it very quickly—even outside of regular business hours. I was very impressed with their prompt and professional support.

My best friend of 60 years and I are planning to do a 10 night hike on the LaCloche Silhouette Trail to celebrate our 70th birthdays and some of my gear was due for replacement. Altitude Sports has been my go to supplier for about 14 years now and I know they can be counted on to have the “stuff” I need. They are also a wealth of knowledge and are always willing to help. I had an issue finding a cover for my Gregory Boltoro Pro 85L and they even found a store in Calgary for me that I could order it from even though I had already searched the internet high and low. The best brands, the best delivery, the best support and all at competitive prices, especially if you watch the sales.

For context, I am a lifetime member and I think it is so worthwhile. Free shipping and returns. Very quick shipping. Excellent and easy to contact via online chat customer service.

For the most part, I am quite pleased with this store. We have basically been forced to buy items online because you can’t find the things you want in regular stores, so my biggest issue is that I’m being punished and need to pay shipping costs every time I order something unless it’s over a high amount of minimum money spent. And then when I pay the shipping cost, it takes a week to arrive. I find that a little bit unfair, but I guess that’s the way of the world now. I do really appreciate that when I give a review I get $10 off to put towards future purchases. This is one reason that I have continued to shop from here and not other stores that sell the same items.

Purchase many items from gear to clothes with altitude Sports. Their quality and delivery is excellent, but equally if I have every needed to return an item, or had a problem/question I can reach a real person quickly through phoning, texting or email and they have always resolved it promptly and fairly. Great company and staff!

Bought climbing shoes based on the site's sizing, which was very different from the typical sizing chart for this brand. Been using the same shoes for over a decade. The new shoes didn't fit – after 1.5 hrs in the climbing gym I realised the size wasn't the same as what I thought I'd ordered. Altitude Sports refused to refund me and instead offered "store credit". I've been with AS for years and years. No more.

Misleading promotion — avoid.

Altitude Sports advertised a $50 credit on orders over $250, directly on a product page. No terms, no conditions, no expiry — just the offer as displayed. I built a cart over $250 and went to check out. No credit applied. I contacted them via live chat.

Two hours after I complained, they updated the promotion on their website with new details that hadn't been there when I saw it.

Then they told me, via live chat, that there was "nothing they could do."

This is a textbook bait-and-switch. I will not be shopping here again.

I was a very frequent, and very happy customer for about a decade. Unfortunately, I don't plan to purchase from Altitude Sports again after my most recent experience.

They've done a 'donate $15, get $30 in non-expiring store credit' thing called 'AltiAction' a couple of times per year, for many years. They recently changed it without making the new terms clear.

I donated a couple of weeks ago and immediately used the credit on an order, but had to return the items in that order because they didn't fit. Upon receiving the refund, I discovered that they did not refund the AltiAction portion of my payment, which they had always previously done (because customers paid for it in the first place).

Upon inquiring with customer service, I was told that the the AltiAction credit is now considered a 'temporary credit', and that they no longer return it to your account if you return an order for a refund. Again, the customer paid for this credit, so why aren't they getting it back?

This was not made clear before making the new donation in the first place, and, to compound my confusion, the product page for the donation 'item', still shows a block of text in the product description which says that the credit wouldn't expire.

I would say that the general prices, the overall fulfillment experience, and certain instances of customer service (I'm not blaming the low-level workers, to be clear) have been marginally declining for a couple of years, and their site got quite bad recently: they did away with wishlists, and made some aspects of the account page harder to parse, etc.

I suppose a room full of Altitude Sports higher-ups thought it was a great idea to sneakily take an extra $15 from customers and refuse to refund it as a payment method if it was used towards an order that needed to be returned...

Do not order from the last hunt or altitude. They are scam. I ordered dakine bike carrier 2 months ago and still have yet to receive. There is no customer service with the last hunt. Finally I talked with people at altitude who have given zero help except an email saying it’s coming next week. That was weeks ago. Don’t buy they are going out of business

I've been a customer since the beginning and have had both good experiences and bad. I think they've become too big to maintain a polished customer experience. They no longer ship with FedEx and use smaller, less reputable companies. When they match prices of other retailers such as Patagonia, they charge for shipping and more recently sent the wrong item-which can happen I suppose. In the past, shipping was fast and reliable, price matching was logical and fair and the company was likely of a size that allowed for a fully positive experience. They do have excellent prices and a wide selection of brands and options which I appreciate. They also offer phone support which is fast, efficient and reliable.
