Fantastic, fun and safe experience

I love this place. I always book a horseback ride here when I'm in Denmark. The owner and the regulars love the horses dearly, and you can tell they're well cared for (in the way they look and the way they act). They're really getting loved on, and when they're off they're OFF, rolling, frolicking and relaxing in the spacious pens.

I've booked rides with other companies too, but I keep coming back to Amager Voksen because of the atmosphere, the horses, and the friendly and competent guides. I've ridden several of their horses, and it has always been a pleasant experience. I've ridden with beginners and more experienced riders, and my co-riders often comment on the high level of instruction and tips they receive from the guide and owner. Of course, if you're in a 15-person group during peak season, this is not always possible for everyone, but in general they're really good at guiding and helping the customers.
And most importantly, you don't get to ride without going through a thorough safety orientation (stirrups, reins, safety on the trail) and getting an opportunity to ask questions and voice insecurities (I've been on enough group rides there to know that).

I understand there's been some accidents, some of them quite serious. That's really sad and unfortunate! I've had accidents myself on a couple of my rides (falling off, a horse tripping while riding), which is inherently a risk when you decide to get on a horse. Most rides by far are completely drama-free, thanks to the great horses and experienced guides. Whenever something does happen (which it inevitably does with horses and humans), e.g. a horse spooking, a rider falling off, in my own experience the guides and the owner have been fantastic at handling it - helping, calming and reassuring riders and horses, getting picked up and cared for by the owner etc. I always felt - and still feel - completely safe booking my rides here.

If you love horses and nature (and are ready to listen and follow the guidelines to enjoy a safe ride), don't deny yourself this experience. The area is beautiful and peaceful, the guides are very capable, and the horses are LOVELY!

Dont book this place. A woman was paralized because of the lack of security. Another 10 year old girl got her legs broken due to their lack of security! Stay away from this place.

We wanted to treat ourselves to a special experience during our vacation in Denmark, so we booked a private riding tour for two with a guide. The location was easy to find and it takes about half an hour by bus from the center of Copenhagen. When we arrived, everything was already prepared and the horses were saddled. We were then asked to choose a helmet and after a short briefing we were off. The guide, Adrian (hopefully spelled correctly), was really good and knew exactly what to do. After a few minutes, he realized that it would be better if he walked alongside and didn't ride his horse. Accordingly, he brought his horse back to accompany us on foot. He generally made us feel safe and you could see that it was important to him and that he loves the sport itself and the animals. It was a very relaxed atmosphere. He provided us with lots of tips and information the whole time. It was a very nice trip and we would definitely do it again in the same way. The animals were very well trained and attuned to beginners. We both had absolutely no experience with horses, but after a while we felt really safe. During the tour, all our wishes were catered for and nothing was done without being asked and without our consent.
We are very enthusiastic about the small, cute riding stables and the offers. I would recommend it to anyone. A very, very nice experience. I loved it!

a small unique place surrounded by bountiful nature. There is a special calm here, being around the horses, enjoying a cup of coffee with the other customers, you get to be whomever you are without prejudices.

Nice place in good surroundings with none of the pretentious attitude the horse world is known for.
