I strongly suggest steering clear and picking any other loft boarding company. From start to finish it has been a shocking and expensive experience which has caused me an immense amount of stress and wasted so much of my time.
From the initial survey and quote where I was pressured into going with Amazing Lofts by Daniel who kept playing up the asbestos survey as being vital for safety and that this would be a key reason to get it done as if any hint of asbestos was found they would get an expert team to make sure it was done safely.
In reality the asbestos survey consisted of a random person from Acorn who seemed clueless and took a small piece of my ceiling only after I prompted them to. And then shrugged and said it probably would come back fine. I also was not told of the results before the workers turned up to install the loft boards and hatch and they cut into my ceiling generating copious amounts of dirt without me knowing if the asbestos survey was truly clear. So this was clearly just a scare tactic and I really doubt this was a legitimate survey or ever going to be taken seriously even if it were found.
Then the nightmare of the actual loft boarding and hatch installation. I was not warned at all about what would happen but essentially a series of tradespeople arrived throughout the day doing various jobs with varying degrees of success. The electricians were fine though put the light switch a little far from the hatch entrance.
The first two tradespeople came to start boarding the loft and one was clearly an apprentice and to be frank was utterly useless. He was tasked with cleaning the floor after the job was done and instead managed to damage my new wooden floorboards by dragging a completely wet and unwrung mop all across the floor which was covered with dust and dirt which has just served to bake the dirt into my new floorboards. They also failed to warn me of the amount of dust and dirt which would be covering my new floors and freshly painted walls and failed to take any steps to lay down protection or stop any damage from occurring. Let alone the shocking cleaning job by an apprentice who clearly had never touched a mop before in his life.
Then the supposedly more experienced tradespeople came along and again with absolutely no preparation or attempt to protect my floors or walls cut into my ceiling for a new loft hatch letting huge chunks of ceiling drop as it pleased shaking my entire floor and damaging my floorboards further. The rushed botched job they did has also left massive cracks as well as a significant holes which was not filled by the hatch in my newly plastered ceiling which still has damage to date. They installed the hatch incredibly poorly and clearly hadn't planned ahead so one side is significantly more slanted and thinner compared and the whole hatch is clearly not straight.
They obviously recognised after installing the hatch that having a massive gaping hole right next to it was suboptimal and promised they would be back to fix it. This took over 3 weeks until someone could come back to replaster the ceiling. As it turned out it was one of the same people who had botched the job in the first place and he turned up very late and spent 15 minutes plastering and leaving more mess without trying to protect my walls or floor yet again. He then left telling me I would just need to sand it down and repaint the ceiling myself as he obviously wouldn't be doing this despite my taking another day off work purely to wait for 15 minutes of shoddy plastering.
Attempts to resolve this with Amazing Lofts has been an equally frustrating experience with Matt sending me AI generated responses whilst refuting any responsibility and citing their terms and conditions which essentially state they are free to cause damage to your property. We agreed to leave it with a frankly insulting amount of money taken off given the degree of stress and time I have spent on this and I promised I would leave a review to warn others so here I am. If you're still reading I would strongly urge you to pick literally any other company.
Addendum - as an update to their reply it is quite interesting that they couldn't address how disgustingly bad the work and damage done was as they are fully aware as I sent multiple photos and videos. For a small sample see my Google Maps review! To be clear I chose to go with Amazinglofts purely because I negotiated a cheaper quote. I would advise anyone reading to pay more for a more reputable company. And since we're quoting dates the asbestos report was actually issued on 29 May 2026 but I only received it on 24th June via email from Matt after my complaint was in process. And re: the plastering them sitting in the van outside my house after finishing a shoddy job doesn't count as them working. At least this reply wasn't AI generated!

I was disappointed with my experience with Amazing Loft. The work was quite expensive, but unfortunately the quality didn't match the price. The finish lacked precision, and several details could have been completed to a much higher standard.
My biggest concern was the loft access. I wasn't given the option or advice to have the loft hatch enlarged, which would have made moving items in and out much easier. With the current setup, it's very difficult to use the loft practically, and I wish this had been discussed before the installation.
Overall, I expected a much better standard of workmanship and customer guidance, especially considering the cost. I hope they improve their attention to detail and take the time to discuss practical options with customers before completing the job.

Really pleased with the work Steve and Lewis Waters from Amazing Lofts carried out yesterday. The work was completed exactly as detailed, and the whole process was easy from start to finish. Steve and Lewis arrived on time, were professional throughout, and left everything clean and tidy afterwards.
Thanks also to Gary the surveyor for making the process straightforward. The price was very competitive compared with other quotes, but the quality of the work couldn’t have been higher.
We’re very happy with the result and would definitely recommend Amazing Lofts.

I am very satisfied with the work completed and with both the workmen that did the estimate and the gentleman that carried out the work.
One minor point that was irritating was the communication between the office and the asbestos assessor. The office gave me a date that the assessor was completely unaware of, then the office didn’t respond to my messages. We got there in the end by phone calls between myself and the assessor.

They do what they say they will do, when they say they will do it, for the price that they quote. Their price was competitive and the work was done in a timely and professional manner. Communication was easy and they were straightforward to deal with. No complaints.

Had 2 Velux windows and partial loft boarding. One window was faulty on unboxing. Installer explained problem and was prepared to come back on the same day to replace it. Good liaison with office to get a replacement window installed. Only minor downside was that the boarding was higher than I had expected, based on the initial survey.

The final product is acceptable. The total cost for job including 12sqm and timber ladder was £1850, not cheap but would have felt reasonable if it were not for the amount of mess left. I am left wondering where all the reviews about leaving everything spotless come from as my experience was very different.
The surveyor who came round, Alvie, was great. He was thoughtful and thorough, wore overshoes to keep the house clean and gave an indication the installation crew would be of the same quality.
When the crew arrived they didn't confirm the work to be done as was stated in the email, communication was pretty minimal altogether. I had to find them to confirm the boarding and hatch orientation was as specified.
The teams do at least 2 jobs per day, so it's clear this is a volume business and a lot of the problems I experienced seem to stem from that. Pretty much every problem described here could be solved with a small amount of extra time to prep and clean up properly.
There was the bare minimum of dust control. A sheet was laid down but a huge amount of dust spilled over the edge and then that was walked through with dust left everywhere. The wooden floor is now scratched. Would have taken about 10 minutes to setup an enclosed area with plastic sheets and contain all mess, with floor protection down the stairs. And at the very least, 2 seconds to close landing doors to prevent dust getting into other rooms.
There was no extraction used for cutting in the enclosed loft space. Particleboard dust contains wood dust and formaldehyde which are Group 1 carcinogens. The COSHH regulations exist because this is a real, demonstrated harm to anyone exposed. The crew most of all, but also occupants in the house at the time and exposed to residual dust afterwards.
Apart from that it's just common sense to keep it tidy, the insulation is now covered in fine sawdust which I can't see any way of removing. At the end there was a basic hoovering which got the worst bits, but there was still an hour of hoovering and mopping for me to do, including hoovering all the sawdust out of the loft itself with all the screwholes and the fine layer of dust on the boarding.
The crew didn't wipe their feet on the way in and out, so the stairs and floor were covered in muddy bootprints. The loft ladder itself was covered in muddy bootprints and handprints which is disappointing given it's literally brand new.
Given everything visible was left in an untidy state, it's hard to have faith that the hidden bits have been done with attention to detail such as the loft legs and the insulation relaying.
They have every badge going - Federation of Master Builders, TrustMark, Which Trusted Traders. I didn't put much faith in these before but it's pretty much zero now.
