Avoid using Amber on weekends! My usual fare is around £6 during the week on a weekend it’s double! They use a city centre zone excuse but my journey doesn’t involve any city centre roads!

Absolutely useless!!! We will never use Amber taxis again!! pre booked a taxi for 7.30pm to collect a 14 year old child from railway station - after chasing the cab about 4 times we were told taxi was on its way!! Even text us the registration number, then we got another reg no through. It turned up an hour late!!! you should be ashamed of yourselves!! you don’t deserve any business whatsoever!! Do not use Amber!! totally unreliable!!!

I precooked my taxi a week before my travel day to London 1.30pm 17/12/21 45mins to my train time, and Amber forgot to dispatch my taxi, not until I called and even when the driver came it too late to the extent I only few minutes, this is not the first time, second time,third time Amber as made panicked losing my train and international flight so I would not make that mistake again and again but am switching over to Uber, please don't put all your eggs in one basket with Amber taxi Leeds.

My son Booked a car from cookridge to bramley . This cost £26!!!
The driver taking advantage of him being intoxicated drove through kirkstall,through Leeds centre through armley to get to Bramley instead of from cookridge through Horsforth straight onto ring road as it’s more Rodley side of bramley, It wasn’t till the following morning when He looked at confirmation of the booking he realised what had happened. Untrustworthy disgusting robbing driver !!!! We are reporting as we have his name ref plate etc

Pre-booking a taxi is no garantee you will get one apparently. Asking when the pre-booked taxi would arrive I was told by some one who could not care less that he had no one in the area. Neither was he able to give me any indication of when/if the pre-ordered taxi would arrive which was nit particularly helpful as we had a deadline. We had onward travel booked and they honestly did not care. We had left plenty of time but arrived literally with one minute to spare. Luckily there was no traffic.

The cost of amber cars has gone up significantly lately however reliability and customer service has nosedived. From now on I will use a smaller local company, drive or get the bus.

I pre ordered the taxi a week in advance for a 7am pick up . At 7.05am I phoned to ask if it was coming ! , she said 10 minutes as soon as we can . My heart sank , I did wait until 7.25 and then had to de-ice my car and drive myself.
I now need to organise my car to be picked up as, I needed an knee operation and cannot drive home . Please just tell me the truth and say sorry get . Tell the truth .

10 minutes after my pickup time had passed this morning,.. called the driver. He was still indoors !!! I missed my planned train as a result. I had told them upon booking not to be late. Will not be using them again.

Unreliable,expensive and that woman who answers it's unbelievable liar!!! She will tell you taxi it's in the way never turn up!

They must be the most expensive Taxis in Leeds, They Charged us £13.70 for a fair that is £8.60 with Roadrunners. I don`t think Black and whites are that dear

So fed up. Pre- booked a taxi which was then 40 minutes late, making me very late for an appointment. When I called up I was given false info about time it would take. If they had been truthful I could have arranged alternative transport. So mad at now having to pay a lot of money for being late.

Absolutely fed up with this taxi company. One woman answering the phone definitely needs customer service training.
Booked a taxi at 7.38 this morning to pick my daughter up at 8.15. 'Pending driver' until 8.20. Turned up late and had no clue how to get to his destination. My daughter was late for her dental appointment.

I have been let down today when a pre-booked taxi did not show up and no information was provided whether the taxi would show up at all and at what time. This is extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Amber has let me down today and I have lost confidence in their service. I need a taxi to be reliable 100% of the time, not left scrabbling around at the last minute trying to find alternative travel arrangements.

What is going on Amber? Yet AGAIN we order a taxi 24 hours in advance to take me to the train station for a work trip. Yet AGAIN the taxi no shows, yet AGAIN call and chase to be told the taxi is on its way , not true. So yet AGAIN have to get the other half to make a mad dash to get me to the station on time.
If nothing else can you not just be honest when somebody calls to chase a taxi??
This is not great , with these dark nights and mornings I need a taxi service I know will get me home or to my destination safely and on time.
Shall I bill you the monies spent having to change train tickets?

Used Premier Taxis for years and never had an issue. With Amber, 9 times out of 10 the taxi will arrive at least 10 minutes late. Absolutely terrible service.

The Amber car driver (no 420) who drove me today was very knowledgeable about the area and pleasant to speak to. Recommend this driver.

Pre-ordered a cab for 11.25am. After a call when 5 minutes late (I had a train to catch) I was told I would be a priority and it would be 5 minutes. It turned up at 11.40. Won't use again

Absolute pile of rubbish avoid like the plague couldn’t run a bath,

Don’t worry when you are all on the rock and roll good old Uber will take over lot to be learned Amber

Use these guys a lot, sometimes when the traffic in Leeds is awful it takes a while, but that’s understandable. Drivers are always really nice and know where they are going, only thing I’d change is the app, as it used to show the car type and colour but now just shows the model (until you get the alert to show they’ve arrived). Knowing which car you’re looking for is helpful when you’re at a high traffic area (like the station or a busy pub at kicking out time in the city centre).

Amber have increased their charges and a journey from Leeds Station to my home on a Saturday now costs £12.50 compared to £6.50 previously. I won't use Uber because of their charges and will now never use Amber again.
