We booked a cottage through Amberley House Cottages for a few nights in early December. The booking process was clear and very straightforward. When the second lockdown was announced a very helpful woman called Alison contacted me to say that, as the lockdown ends on the first day of our booking we could either reschedule or receive a full refund. I agreed that my wife and I would think about it. A few days later Alison called again and agreed to change our dates to after the end of lockdown. I have had to cancel four holiday bookings this year and found other providers to be extremely hard to contact and refusing to offer any refund. Amberley House stands out as by far the most helpful and flexible. I'm very impressed. Thank you, John

I contacted Amberley House Cottages via their website to make an enquiry about booking one of their cottages. Didn't hear back so I phoned them to book over the phone.

They took all personal details and said they would email over confirmation once they had spoken with the owner of the property. Never heard anything for 4 days. Phoned them again to check what was happening to be told that they have no record of our booking and those dates are probably taken now anyway.

No apology, just asked me if I wanted to book another property. With your company, no thanks.
