I have been dealing with amcrest since…

I have been dealing with amcrest since December 12 of last year. I had put in a RMA since the 12 of Dec and now its January 16,2020. I was told that there would be a replacement and nothing yet. I had pay the $15 for shipment and have not received anything as of yet. I spoke to a supervisor and expressed my feelings about the company that has a lack of communication. No email or call back in regrade the replacement . Until this date nothing. They had created a label to ship out the replacement since the 13 of Jan. Fox put it on hold until they receive the package. I am VERY VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH AMCREST. my intentions is to do a report against the company with BBB.i would NEVER recommend anyone to buy from amcrest.

camera failed after 5 months. Poor service.

camera failed after 5 months. spent couple hours troubleshooting. did troubleshooting with online help. No good. Called tech support. Asked same questions over and over ("is the light on" about 15 times). Doesn't work. Have to get on-line and submit RMA. Did that. Have to get on-line and pay $15. did that. Supposed to email me. Did not. Called again. Got the info. Now have to wait for and email. Did not come. Called. Did not come. Emailed. Did not come. Called again. "Probably we will send it today". ...

so they respond quickly to on-line feedback. interesting.
finally got the return authorization email. It has the wrong address on it.....

I rather rate 0 star if possible. This company sold faulty products and sell to the world in hope to cheat people money by any chance. I have my brand new Amcrest 1080p camera from my birthday gift and it is completely junk out of the box. Not moving and only stay in red light. Tech support does not helping at all and i believe they do not know how to fix their camera problems. Please stay AWAY from this brand completely else you will have a hard time to ask for replacement or refund. Terrible products.

they really dont care..

they really dont care... once you've paid you are on your own. they wrote the wrong telephone number on fedex package which resulted in fedex cauld'nt deliver the package to me.. it's been more than 2 moths and i did not get my package yet. and offcource no refund!
and the dont care :(

Bad Support even prior to purchase

Well I guess I was lucky this happened before I bought. I was on a chat inquiring about Amcrest POE NVRs being able replace the Lorex NVR so I could have a backup and since in less than a year the Lorex has already failed. I asked if they are compatible with the Lorex system I have and was told they don't recommend 3rd party devices. I ask if the return policy could be extended to 60 days instead of 30 since it could take time to test it and then NO ONE RESPONDED! In fact nobody responded for for over 30 minutes until I stated I was going to write a review.

i purchased a 8 camera system directly…

i purchased a 8 camera system directly from amcrest. i nstalled the firts 4 cameras everything was fine. i went to install the other four cameras and they were not the same model as the 4 cameras i just installed. i called amcrest and was told the four mismatched camera were the newer better style with 3 pigtails. i was told to keep them since they are "better and newer". I nstalled 2 of the 4 mismatched camera and the picture quality is bad and they seem to have some type of video interference in the background. i uplugged the camera and switched ports on the back of the hvr i even switch it out with one of the "old style" cameras and the picture was great. I have been emailing Cody in RMA for days and asked to have the 4 "newer better quality" camera replaced with the older style ones. still to this point i am unable to get a phone call from him or a supervisor. this was an amcrest mistake and I am paying for it. Obviously amcrest sent me the 8 cammeras they made the error of sending 2 different sets of 4. all i am asking for is 4 cameras that match the 4 i already installed and will return the "newer better" ones, but i am still waiting. i dont think i would recommend amcrest to a friend.

Great cameras

Great cameras. Terrible customer service. Didnt ship cameras for months. No call to tell me. Just kept my money. Manager was supposed to call 3 days in a row. No call. Awful service.

I recently called Amcrest Tech Support…

I recently called Amcrest Tech Support for assistance with NV 4108E-HS programming my smart phone for live remote viewing. I spoke to a gentleman named Randall Tate who was pleasant and extremely helpful.He was able to correct---in 5 minutes, something that took me over 2 hours to figure out and I ended up calling Tech Support anyway since I was not getting anywhere and kept going around in circles. Great Company and excellent Amcrest Tech Support for a product bought via Amazon.

Terrible Customer Service

I was just told that in order to have a faulty camera replaced, that I would FIRST have to disassemble that particular camera and see if there was a reset button so that I could press it and then they would try to send a signal to it. Then if there was still no response that would confirm their thoughts on it being the camera. I told the gentleman on the phone with the alias of Hector that it was not possible for me to do and he says to me that it has to be done and that there was nothing else that he could do for me. I asked to speak to a Supervisor and was told that I had to go to there website. I have only had this system in use for two months now and I have had nothing but problems with AMCREST.

IP4M-1026 Dean Rogers. I upgraded my old outdoor camera and am I happy with the upgrade. Dean got the motion detectors up and running and I'm running systems test now. Everything is working fine. Been a longtime customer of Amcrest. I recommend them to my friends.

Austin Gibson was very helpful to me…

Austin Gibson was very helpful to me today. He helped me upgrade my firmware and connect my camera's over WIFI. I previously called in yesterday and was told there was a P2P server issue preventing this which is NOT the case. Austin knew immediately what to do where Caleb Gorman only collected information from me and never got back. It just took the extra time to remote in to my PC and find the cameras with the IP Config manager and then do the work. 30 minutes but now I'm a satisfied customer again instead of frustrated because I couldn't connect to my cameras.

Cliff Hoyer was very patient and knowledgeable in assisting me with saving video footage to my computer! I was afraid to do it on my own for fear of losing or deleting it.
