At first - job was decent. Had decent manager.
Currently & has been for the past few months there has been no manager and Nottingham manager has been standing in as well as the operations director and everyone else. Head office are not looking to hire a manager until everything is sorted within the office (as in office staff wise / all original staff have left this complete wreck of a place)
There is no communication between within Lincoln branch and head office, this includes no information to carers either, nobody is kept in the loop.
If you’re going for a care worker job - you’ll get the job as long as you have some sort of care experience or have common sense in answering the questions. I mean this not in the rude way - told to hire anyone as per head office’s directions.
If you’re office staff you aren’t really “trained” as such, you’re either sent to Nottingham to shadow someone for 2 days, or if there is someone in the main Lincoln office to show you, you’re sat with them for 2 days and expected to know every detail of the job and if you’re unsure of what to do or get something wrong, you’re made to feel awful about it. There is honestly no support at all, other staff members within the office may support you, however higher up will never support you.
There is no job security, there was someone who was hired to become co-ordinator and then was gotten rid of within 2 or less months of being in the job because was given no proper training and head office felt she “could not do the job” there was also someone who was hired to become a field supervisor and then was sacked because there was “no work” for her, even after hiring and saying there is plenty of work - few months down the line, they needed a field supervisor but had to advertise this job as “care planner” incase she saw the job.
When care staff phone in sick and there is no one to cover the shift, office staff are forced to go out and deliver care before starting work at 9 or are expected to work 9-5 then go out and cover the whole evening shift and still come into work the next day at 9. If you have any sort of commitments outside of work you are expected to drop everything to cover care work or have on call if someone doesn’t want this.
If someone phones in sick last minute, let’s say at 5 to 5 - everyone is expected to stay behind and ring all care workers to cover the shift and do unpaid overtime even if you have commitments. We was sat in the office gone 11pm some nights, brought this up to head office who refused to pay us any sort of overtime and was told to not do any - but then penalised if work wasn’t covered.
CARE WORKERS -
You’re expected to work 24/7, if they are short staffed then office staff are expected to go through the list of carers even if you have been asked 2/3 times and expect carers to change/swap/cancel plans to help out and cover. They will try and change carers availability and slyly put you down for shifts and hope that you don’t see them, or put in an extra call and hope you don’t see it. You’ll be hassled rotten until you agree to a shift. When desperate there was carers working a night shift and then going onto doing sits in the day then going back out to do a night shift. There is no support for care staff, they are entitled to go into the office and raise concerns etc, this will get raised to head office/Nottingham manager and nothing will happen after this. Head office will try and cover everything if it means they will get in trouble for something. Fuel is not paid for and will not be paid for, although a 5 minute travel time is required between each call, sometimes you’ll be rammed and have 33 calls and then you’ll get a call asking why you haven’t stayed for the full 30 minutes of the visit even though it’s completely impossible.
I would highly recommend staying away from this company, will ruin you mentally and will exhaust you - carer or office staff. It’s not worth it.

Very poor care for my mother. A different carer every visit and poor time keeping. Did not use PPE, did not recognise my mother had caught covid and needed medical attention. Their final visit to her they never even turned on the light to check on her, she was admitted to hospital late that night and passed away.
At 8.00 pm on Monday 29 March 2021 I telephoned my sister and we enjoyed a conversation until at 8.15 two AMG carers entered her flat and her bedroom unannounced and grabbed her and tried to make her stand up and walk. The phone remined on in my sister's hand for the next 15 minutes so I heard everything that ensued. My sister protested vigorously, screaming “Put me down” and “Help, Help” at the top of her voice repeatedly. Eventually the phone was cut off. Once the paramedics had left my sister phoned the police, who attended but could not enter the building and therefore contacted paramedics. Paramedics arrived at the flat and gained entry to my sister's flat. They reported to me that her incontinence pad was soaked, the bed was soaked with urine, and the flat smelt strongly of urine. Clearly the “carers” had done nothing regarding my sister's personal hygiene or the state of the bed. The paramedics then removed her back to hospital so that her urinary infection could be further treated. I complained to both the head office and to the Chester branch of AMG but neither place had the courtesy to even acknowledge receipt of the complaint.
