I really liked my last phone, but an Android update came out and the installation failed. Seems pretty obvious that there should be some way to tell it NOT to keep trying over and over and over. You... See more

Ever since you updated the operating…

Ever since you updated the operating system, the alarm function in clock settings is a joke. You put a huge dismiss area 1/4 of the screen, and a tiny snooze area, have to hit the word snooze dead on or it dismisses the alarm. Since I use my android as my alarm, this function has made me kate several time. If you do not give me a more reasonable snooze area, it may be time to switch to the despised apple phones.

Find someone to desig. A charger please.

I have always used android thru the years. I have a Galaxy s10 now. Love the function and ease of operating. If they could only find someone to design a halfway decent charging port it would be amazing. i have never owned an android phone that the charging wasn't such a problenthat i quit carrying my phone 50% of the time or more out of aggravation.

Read all. Worst phone ever!

I have one of your Android 7.0's and it's by far the worst phone I have ever owned in my whole life. It's slow, easy to break, lags very badly, most apps won't download or open, won't connect to WiFi, cameras don't work, the battery drains from 100% to 15% within an hour whilst barley being used, it shuts of stating it's dead even though it's at 87 sometimes, the flashlight won't work, calls are slow and glitchy, and it won't let me call/text some certain people.

No control over our devices.

Over the years Android OS is growing bigger and greater for an average user. It's great. Especially customization by installation of third party applications.

However, I have noticed already around Android 5 or so that Google puts quite a bit of limitations on users, as well. For example not all applications can be put on a SD card when internal storage lacks of space.

But worst of all is that we (users) were never granted a full control over our devices! I despise this approach, and totally don't understand why computer users may have administrative privileges on Linux or Windows, but we cannot on Android. That is simply unacceptable.

Slow laggy and crashy....just awful.

Ive had android for many years now and after android 6 its just gone utterly pants. Since then its just slow, laggy, glitchy, devices wont connect properly freezes a lot it just awful. Since the last couple of updates phone now gets hot and battery doesnt last as long. I used to be able hammer my phone all day and still have 30-40 percent, now with stamina mode on i'll be lucky if ive still got 15 percent. Fed up with android now but i dont want to switch to apple. Wish there was other alternatives.

Every device I've ever owned, riddled with bugs.

Every device I've ever owned with Android has had bugs.
So annoying as I love Samsung phones.
I have Galaxy S7 now and the platform is all over the place.
The menus are so scattered, with actions in different places.
I STILL can't get voice on navigation with google maps, and I'm sure it's not Googles fault.
Glitchy performance as the CPU scratches it's head constantly.
They need to start over and give Android a new makeover, with intelligent platforming.
Given we're in 2019, they should be ashamed of themselves.
It's like they got a different person to write the code for every action & prompt, then gave it to a dementia patient to integrate. :(

The new iOS 9 pie is terrible it's causing my phone to run very slow and it also randomly turns my screen to gray-scale with no way for me to turn it back! Change it now it's the worst I've ever had!

The OS still needs a lot of improvements, but it's compatibility with most apps is awesome. Hope they keep improving as some annoying bugs still occur from time to time, nothing major.

Android, the phone that will make you look broke

I was ecstatic when my parents bought me my first phone, a Samsung Galaxy AMP Prime. A week after having it, I realized it was a cheap piece of garbage. I was so jealous of all of my friends with their iPhone X's and 8's. My Android glitches, doesn't work on most Wi-Fi networks, has awful camera quality, and can't even text iPhones that have emails instead of numbers. Additionally, my AirPods always disconnect from my phone, and it took FOREVER to get them paired. If you want a new phone, DO NOT buy an Android.

P.S. Kids at my school are super judgemental about my phone. Even on Instagram, I took a mirror photo with my phone and many people commented asking/saying things like, "Eww you have an Android?" or, "What in the world is that phone?" And, someone said to me "You have an Android and FAKE AirPods, #urbroke," even though my AirPods are real and from Apple. Having an Android causes people to make rude assumptions about you.

iOS is clearly falling behind

A not so long time ago, Apple et iOS dominated the world of smartphone OSs.

But these days, Google and Android are clearly ahead, in term of:
- stability (bugs are extremely rare on recent phones),
- design (material design),
- ergonomy,
- variety of offer (+ 200 manufacturers),
- power (OnePlus 6T),
- customization (it's the case since the beginning of mobile OSs).

(note that I'm talking about stock, clean Android and not special versions like Samsung's)

Only security remains as an iOS advantage.
And still, as long as you don't download weird apps or files from unknown Internet sources, you'll be totally safe on Android.

Androind is fine..

Androind is fine... Lagging verry often, but if you have new Phone it should be fine for few months. BUY smartphones with min. 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of memory and your android mobile Phone will work fine. You don't need to overpay for brand, named ios.
