Bedbug Concerns and Extremely Disappointing Customer Service

We woke up with bites all over our bodies that appeared to be from bedbugs, after spending just one night in the vehicle.

We immediately reported the issue because we were concerned about cleanliness and customer safety.

During that conversation, one of the staff members, Diane, refused to touch my phone and said she "has a family to protect." The comment came while we were trying to show her the situation, and I found it confusing and inappropriate. The interaction left me feeling singled out and gave me the impression that I was being treated differently.

When we brought the issue to the business's attention, I did not feel that our concerns were handled responsibly or with appropriate concern for our health and safety.

I also questioned the reliability of the business's online reviews. I noticed negative reviews and complaints that I had previously seen were no longer visible, which made me wonder whether the ratings accurately reflect customers' experiences.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this business and would encourage others to do their own research before choosing to use their services.

Horrible place

Diane is the name of the manager
Bed bugs were found at this place. When a Korean YouTuber complained about it, they responded with severe racism and extremely unprofessional behavior.

This place is disgusting. Do not use it.

Everything is clearly shown in the YouTube video. They are now deleting Google reviews and leaving only the positive ones.

Absolutely disgusting people. Do not use this place.

I watched the YouTube video below, and as a fellow Australian, I found it deeply embarrassing.
Even just from the audio, it was very clear that the staff’s behavior was rude, disrespectful, and came across as racially discriminatory. I feel genuinely sorry for the travelers who had to experience something like this.
I sincerely hope Apollo takes this matter seriously and addresses it publicly. Incidents like this reflect poorly on the company and, unfortunately, also give good Australians a bad name. It’s truly disappointing and embarrassing to see.

The woman at the Sydney branch has no…

The woman at the Sydney branch has no business working in a job like this. How can someone with such a rotten attitude handle customer service? Her tone, attitude, manners, and racist behavior—the list of issues goes on and on. It’s absolutely absurd. While the recent news about bedbugs is shocking, it is truly pathetic how she let that provoke her into emotionally insulting a customer. And another thing: she didn't want to touch the customer's phone because she was worried about germs? Fine, I can understand that concern. But couldn't she have expressed it in a more reasonable way? I feel sorry for her family; I wonder if they’re actually getting a proper upbringing from a mother like that. In any case, she needs to be fired immediately, and such racist, rude behavior toward Korean customers must stop.

I watched Youtube videos from three…

I watched Youtube videos from three Korean travel YouTubers, and I couldn't believe how rude and disrespectful the customer service was.
One customer complained about bed bugs, but instead of taking responsibility, the staff aggressively tried to shift the blame onto the customer. They even said they didn't want to touch the customer's phone, which came across as extremely rude, hostile, and unprofessional.
The way they spoke and behaved was absolutely terrible. It was so disrespectful that it even made me wonder whether it could have been a form of racial discrimination.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! Their car had bed bugs and the customers had lots of bed bug bites on their first night. But Diane, the manager, blamed them for spreading the bugs as if the customers brought the bugs from somewhere else. and she said with a sarcastic and even disdainful tone, "I don't really wanna touch your phone. I have young children. so if you do have something, I don't wanna touch it."

I recently visited Apollo Motorhome…

I recently visited Apollo Motorhome Holidays - Sydney, and my experience was absolutely appalling from the very beginning.

Despite there being no queue of customers waiting to be served, I was left standing around for an unreasonable amount of time without any explanation. The staff completely ignored me until I eventually walked up to the counter myself and asked why I was still waiting. Only then did they decide to acknowledge my presence and begin assisting me.

What happened next was even worse. One of the employees, who introduced herself as the branch manager, attempted to charge me a rental price that was outrageously higher than the rate advertised online. When I questioned the discrepancy, she insisted that her price was correct simply because she was the manager.

The most disturbing part of this experience was her incredibly offensive behavior toward me. Perhaps because I am Asian, she made a remark that my phone was "dirty" and "disgusting" and that she did not want to touch it. I was completely shocked and deeply offended by such an unprofessional and degrading comment. No customer should ever be treated with that level of disrespect.

What made the situation even more upsetting was that several other employees witnessed what was happening. Not a single person stepped in to help or address the situation. In fact, some of them appeared to be laughing while I was being humiliated.

This was one of the most unpleasant and disgusting customer service experiences I have ever had. I left feeling insulted, disrespected, and unwelcome. I will never return to this location, and I strongly encourage others to think twice before doing business here.

RACISM and Diane

I recently came across a video involving a Korean couple who had rented a campervan for a day and raised a concern after discovering insects inside the vehicle. What was most disturbing was not merely the presence of insects itself, but the way the situation appeared to be handled by a staff member named Diane.

From what I observed, the customers were not treated with the basic courtesy, patience, or professionalism that any paying customer should reasonably expect. Instead, Diane appeared to speak to them in a dismissive and intimidating manner, raising her voice and putting them in a position where they had to endure humiliation rather than receive proper assistance.

It was especially upsetting to watch because English was clearly not the customers’ first language. They may have had many valid points to raise, but they seemed unable to fully defend themselves while being spoken to in such an overwhelming and condescending tone. As a fellow Korean, I found that deeply disappointing and painful to witness.

Korean travelers are generally known for being respectful, hygienic, and highly conscious of cleanliness. Korea also has one of the strongest passports in the world, and Korean tourists travel globally with a high standard of manners and expectations. In Korea, issues such as bedbugs or insects in bedding are taken very seriously, and it is extremely uncommon for customers to simply accept such conditions without concern.

I understand that Australia is a more nature-oriented country, and naturally, insects may be more common in certain environments. However, that does not excuse a lack of professionalism. A hospitality or rental business should be capable of acknowledging a customer’s discomfort without belittling them.

What concerned me most was Diane’s apparent attitude — refusing to handle the customer’s phone, mentioning her own family, raising her voice, and making the interaction feel unnecessarily hostile. To any reasonably educated and discerning person, the tone and behavior shown in the video may come across as ignorant, discriminatory, and deeply unprofessional.

I do not wish to place all blame on one individual’s ignorance. Rather, I am more disappointed in the company’s leadership and hiring standards. A business that serves international travelers has a responsibility to train its staff to communicate with respect, cultural awareness, and emotional control.

This incident left me with a very negative impression of the company. I sincerely hope the management reviews this matter carefully, offers an appropriate apology to the customers involved, and takes meaningful steps to ensure that no other international visitor is treated in such a humiliating manner again.

Apollo Euro Deluxe 6 berth

We rented an Apollo Euro Deluxe model. If you google it, the pictures on the company's website are different than the model we're given. Our vehicle was old, it didn't have the glass shower stall (according to the pictures), which made an enormous difference with our toddler. Other than that, the RV was dirty, the floor had dirt on all corners, the blankets and the towels had little white round stains, that reallly looked like mold. We had to clean all up before we could rest, from our 24-hour flight. The car smelled bad. I don't think it's worth the price. It's our second rental with Apollo, and probably the last.
