Apostle Island Cruise Nightmare
This is what their website says under the "Reservations, Refunds & Seating" section of Policies and Resources FAQ ~ "All seating on all cruises is first-come, first-served". Not "Tour Bus First and all others last, regardless if you purchased your tickets months in advance". We were three quarters way to the back of this very long line already, most of the tour bus group ahead of us (some trickled in behind us) and the tour group attendant forcefully asked our group (5) and a couple of other small groups to go to back of line so the rest of the tour group could move up. We all questioned him and recited Apostle Islands Cruise policy about first come first served. He was very mean to us just because we questioned him. We didn't move from our place in line until, the tour attendant ran to one of the Park Service employees who came back and told us to move. The Tour Bus line is "Personalized Tours 1800-225-0608". We were there with our handicapped brother who couldn't stand for long periods of time, but they forced us to the back of the line anyway. That tour bus attendant is evil. We are disappointed in Apostle Island Cruise service for not following their own policies and their Mission statement "We are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone." They made our and others experience Horrible. We do not recommend this cruise service for any small groups of families when this particular tour bus is in town. The tour itself was wonderful (boat Archipelago), but it didn't matter - that one incident made it all a horrible experience for our family. Tour bus from h-e- double hockey sticks. Never Again.
