Yup, that’s what it is. Located “on the Avon” in Bath, you have the best of both worlds. First, Robin and Fiona are the most welcoming, helpful and friendliest couple you could wish to meet. Nothing is too much for them, and the facilities on the site are first class, clean with beautifully sculptured areas to park your Camper or Motorhome. Walk through the gate by the office onto the Avon riverside, which the whole site straddles, and you are now in quintessential English dappled bliss that will bring you to two superb riverside gastro pubs, one within minutes walk and one within15 minutes walk. Also within minutes walk from the Campsite is the Park & Ride to Bath City Centre, 15 min bus ride and a couple of pounds plus. History, culture, restaurants, bars and shops galore in a city that borders perfection. Take your pick, what are you waiting for? Just go, but, make sure a space is left for me on my next visit…five stars all the way…

Have lived at Portavon Marina for 6-7 years, initially owned by BWML but more recently by Aquavista.

During that time, we have had numerous managers, but Robin (our current manager) is by far the best we have had, and communicates extremely well with all the boaters. He listens to any problems we may have, and acts decisively to correct them.

One of his best acts was to employ Pat, (one of our fellow boaters) to look after the Marina, and I have to say it has never looked as good as it is now. Another boater (Terry) is employed on a part time basis, working with Pat on bigger projects, and the two of them are doing an amazing job.

During recent floods where the car park was completely under water, they ferried boaters by dinghy to dry land so we could get to work or walk dogs etc.

Portavon is a marina to be proud of, and my wife and I feel so lucky to be part of this wonderful community. 😊😊😊x

Facilities are a bit dated but are spotlessly clean

We stay at the Bath Caravan site, on a regular basis, as we have family nearby. We have been staying at this site for many years, therefore experiencing many changes. Since the present manager has arrived he has introduced many enhanced positive improvements. We would like to highly praise him and his reception team, they make us feel very welcome on each visit, they are always willing to help, they are all kind and caring people. They are very professional in their work, they all go above and beyond and are a great credit to Aqua Vista. The Caravan Park itself has a wonderful environmental ambiance and extremely relaxing. We always find the facilities very clean and the older block and recently been refurbished. It's a flat level site with easy access to walk into Bath along the river, or to catch the park and ride. There are 2 local pubs nearby, serving food.

Absolutely love Bath Marina Caravan Park. Great size pitches and nothing is too much trouble for the wardens here. Debbie was great when we checked in offering us alternative pitches if we didn't like the one we were on. We've been here numerous times so we didnt need to to take her up on the offer.

Perfect location next to the river and ideally located for a walk into the city.

Debbie is especially helpful and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble.
Fantastic location along the canal.path into Bath.
Bus at the end of the road to Bristol.

At Portavon marina Robin is the best manager we have had so far. He is very considerate of his customers and has made great improvements in the marina. Especially fitting a washing machine and tumble dryer 😀

As a customer living on the marina in Port Avon I would just like to say that I am extremely happy with Aquavista and how how well they manage the Marina.
Robin the Manager is incredibly friendly and is always ready to help when required.

Updated - I thought I should update this review, as I have since had many other interactions with customer services and aquavista all of which have been very positive. I received a call from the regional manager apologising for my poor initial experience and since then I can honestly say they have been very good. So well done. Aquavista. It is okay for companies to make mistakes as long as they learn and improve from them and aquavista appear to do this. Good job.

We are at Lemonroyd Marina and have been living here for 5 a month. First of all, the two staff members at this site are very good, very friendly and will help you with anything they possibly can. So this review is not a reflection of them. The company are horrendous though. Terrible customer service. They advertise a discount card which we have never had activated in the 5 month we have lived here. After emailing them twice and getting no response at all over 2-month. I called them yesterday and on telling them this they didn't even acknowledge it. Not even an acknowledgement. Never mind an apology. I was assured they would call me back and someone would deal with it. As you can imagine, absolutely nothing has happened. The person I spoke to on the phone I didn't get their name but she was abrupt rude and obviously was not interested in what I was talking about. I had to repeat myself numerous times. This is not customer service at all. When we first arrived there were many problems with our contract and payments and I emailed them then on numerous occasions and never got a reply on those occasions either. Absolutely terrible service, which you are actually paying a lot of money for. If this is the way they treat their tenants and customers they will end up going out of business. People will not pay a lot of money and put up with extremely poor service.

I've been living in this marina for over 3 years and things were not going well, but since Aquavista took overs things have gone even worse. Services are non-existent: the marina is understaffed and they don't care. Nobody works on weekends, so it's impossible to get help with diesel, gas, coal etc if you work on a 9-5, Mon-Fri basis. There is no customer service (only for contracts), and now they are forcing us to sign a new contract with a 12 month notice to leave. Things take ages to get done, or sometimes they don't even get done. The marina gates got broken and it took over a month to repair. Now it's broken again. 3 out of 5 pontoons are unsafe and are close, but for a month they haven't even been able to contact the corresponding company to survey them, let alone start any repairs.
