Purchased a very expensive Paola Lenti table that was listed as “Outdoor Table” on Archiproducts. There was no information provided in the listing warning not to actually use it outdoors. This would be comical if it wasn’t so much money.
The table was an Archiproducts ex-display model, so there was no manufacturer/usage information at all in the listing …. Just that it’s an outdoor table. Naturally I used it outdoors. The glaze cracked off within about a year, which is well within Archiproducts supposed two year warranty period. Archiproducts refuses to honour their warranty, saying “we encourage customers to refer to the manufacturer’s page for detailed instructions and guidelines regarding the products” (this encouragement is a figment of their imagination), and that I voided the warranty by using the Paola Lenti “Outdoor Table” outdoors. Shame on Paola Lenti for their grossly overpriced furniture that isn’t fit for purpose and double shame on Archiproducts.

We love the table, it fits very well (size and design wise) in the area we intended it for. We had a misfortune for the table to get scratched during the first shipment, but Archiproducts customer department helped us and we just received the perfect table. We are very happy with the purchase.

I placed an order with a 4 weeks lead time. Fair enough. As the delivery time was approaching, I could check the estimated time of shipping and even received an email. However the day before the shipping was due, I received an enigmatic message about some issues and the delivery getting pushed back to another four weeks. For a simple applique. If you pretend to be a middle man retailer, up your game!

The issue was not caused by Archiproducts - but Archiproducts went out of its way to ensure we received a satisfactory resolution to the issue. The offerings on the Archiproducts site have exposed me to a huge number unique designer furniture vendors from across Europe that I otherwise would not have known about. I was very excited to be able to purchase designer furniture through Archiproducts because in the US certain vendors are "to the trade" only so you have to go through a designer to purchase them. I have ordered several items from Archiproducts and they're great. Most recently things did not go smoothly with my order of an item because of the furniture vendor: there were manufacturing delays that pushed out the delivery date and then the item that arrived had manufacturing defects that affected the overall aesthetics . Archiproducts presumedly can't control issues at the furniture vendor, but they can control the customer service angle and resolve issues adversely affecting their customers. Here Archiproducts really shined. Although I wasn't happy with the delay, they did a pretty good job keeping me informed of the updated timeline/delivery status. Most importantly, and to me this is a reason to shop with Archiproducts aside from their offerings, is that they resolved the defect issue in the best possible way with the vendor: replacement and removal of the defective item. These situations can happen, and how they get resolved is key. I couldn't have asked for a better resolution. I caveat this that this solution is a plan, but I am expecting that it will be carried out as described. Because of this I give Archiproducts highest marks for their service (they can decide whether to include this vendor on their site given the reliability issues). Thanks in particular to Claudia on her help with the vendor issue. She is the best!

Archiproducts presumibilmente non può controllare i problemi presso il fornitore di mobili, ma può controllare l'aspetto del servizio clienti e risolvere i problemi che incidono negativamente sui propri clienti. Qui Archiproducts ha davvero brillato. Anche se non ero soddisfatto del ritardo, hanno fatto un ottimo lavoro tenendomi informato sulla tempistica/stato di consegna aggiornato. La cosa più importante, e per me questo è un motivo per fare acquisti con Archiproducts oltre alle loro offerte, è che hanno risolto il problema del difetto nel miglior modo possibile con il venditore: sostituzione e rimozione dell'articolo difettoso. Queste situazioni possono verificarsi e il modo in cui vengono risolte è fondamentale. Non avrei potuto chiedere una risoluzione migliore. Update after Archiproducts response: the courrier had to redeliver the sideboard the following day and came with three people. The person was alone the day before. At three they had difficulties offloading the sideboard. They left it to me and my wife to move it in our house. Fortunately we have a dolly at home but it was extremely difficult to move this very heavy item. Archiproducts tell me that they only deliver street level. Fine but they never informed me that it will be 250kg! They obviously did not inform DHL too. Again Archiproducts sell mostly luxury items and they did not propose me alternative dellivery arrangements. Their argument is that if they were manufacturer, they would deliver inside your home but because they are a distributor they don't is fallacious. I ordered large pieces of furniture from Ligne Roset, Cinna, or even IKEA that were delivered inside. So if you want to order from Archiproducts be aware that you are on your own at delivery! Maybe in Italy they do things differently, but in the UK companies seems to know a bit more about customers' service.
They are very annoying but responsive. I ordered a £4,000 made-to-order sideboard early March. The first sideboard was damaged in transport when it reached their warehouse and they asked me if I wanted a refund or if I was happy to have another sideboard built for me. Now the sideboard has reached the UK, but surprisingly they use DHL for deliveries. I received a very agressive call from someone at DHL telling me that I need to have 3 to 4 people ready to offload the sideboard and put it in my house. Even IKEA provides indoor deliveries but Archiproduts does not seem to provide this. This is ridiculous. I am a retail customer and the box is 250kg. Basically it is kerb-side delivery only and I have to deal with this by myself. They portray themselves as "high-end" but they are clearly not. I don't think it is my job to offload delivery trucks. In short: they are disorganised and not that professional but are relatively responsive. Just not the best service for customers. I should have bought directly from the manufacturer. at the end i will move this sideboard myself and have ordered some dollys, but if you are unable to do this you should not buy heavy products from Archiproducts.
