Nicola is a fantastic teacher and delivered a well thought out and diverse art course. Whilst teaching different techniques she encouraged the kids to follow their own ideas and apply the techniques without pushing them into making identical copies. My daughter loved the course and has learned so much. Highly recommend!

My two young daughters recently attended Nicola's Art Portfolio Course in Harrogate, which they thoroughly enjoyed. They both learnt that art is meant to be creative, expressive, fun and individual – and that it does not have to be a carbon copy of reality! The relaxing, thoughtful and pleasurable learning experience created by Nicola was well received, as I think for children to create incredible work they need tools to be available to them to explore all genres. Nicola's 'workshop' based course definitely teaches children how to use a variety of media using different subject matter for each topic. Using her vast experience, she has crafted a curriculum that covers everything from colour theory to figure drawing and all types of painting. Whether you're a beginner or a more experienced artist, I'm confident you'll find something to challenge and inspire you to develop a professional body of work through Nicola's wonderful courses.
