Do not buy anything from Furniture…

Do not buy anything from Furniture Village especially Chester Furniture Village.
( Jonathan Ward) (Jonny) Manager should be ashamed of himself.

We purchased the Arianna sofa (there best seller) what a joke.
After being sold by the 20 year structural guarantee they offer you.. don't be fooled by this rubbish!!!

We had the sofa delivered and pushed to the wall, they left in the wrapping as we did not use this for a month while we had work done.

40 days after delivery I moved the sofa forward and to my surprise i noticed that the back and the middle of the frame had split.
I rang the customer service what a waste of time, i then had to send photos and a description. They then sent a engineer out from the emeira group, he said that he could fix it there and then, which i was horrified as it was clearly a manufacturing fault, which was also stated in the report. When speaking to customer service which they are clearly in a call centre reading of a script, as they kept saying "yes we fix it" when I said I wasn't happy with this and wanted a replacement or a full refund as it was a manufacturer fault they could not help.
So we had to go into the store and speak to the manager, what a delight he was (not) he thought alot of himself or thought he was the owner of Furniture village (which he not) he is just another number working for someone else..as he was trying to say that he couldn't give us a replacement as we were over the 30 days.. when I said it was clearly a manufacturer's fault and not something we had done, he said "oh I'm going to do something that may get me into trouble" what a load of rubbish.. I will arrange a new sofa to be delivered to you ASAP...
Funny that..
Great.. a new sofa oh no.. the new one arrived and it was worse then the first one.. the two parts didn't fit properly, the main sofa seat cushions were not filled so there were gaps.. there was a big egg lump in the seat.. it was clearly two different sofas put together as the colour was different. We did some research on the manufacturer they are called Ashley Manor
And there reviews are awful, the same thing has happened to other people, the first one was damaged and the second one was worse. (Google them and you will see)
Off we went back to Jonny! He tried to offer us someone to fix it again.. ( this is obviously what they are hoping people will do) well not us.. you pay alot of money and you put your trust into these con people...
We obviously opted for a full refund.
The sofa was then collected that morning, we rang Johnny that day to get our refund as he said to us once THE SOFA was collected he will be able to send us the refund!
( this is obviously how he gets his kicks). Says that he couldn't give us a full refund as we still had the care kit that was the cost of £50 ( which this was never mentioned) so can we bring the care kit back for a full refund!!! Are you actually joking me.. after what they had put us though...
We live 40 minutes away.. ok fine we will bring it back as I was not leaving this till we got a full refund, which ironically as I got out the car the robe snapped on the box.. just another thing not made right..

Please think twice about buying anything from Furniture Village, unless you want waste your time, hours and money and be disappointed with you poorly manufactured and clearly none quality checked furniture.

Poor Warranty and Quality

Purchased a corner sofa from Donaldson’s Furniture in Carlisle in December 2015, expecting quality like our previous sofa. Just under 10 years, a spring has broke and pierced the base of our sofa despite us taking very good care of it over the years. Ashley Manor and the retailer are refusing to replace and simply referring us to a repairer who we’ll have to pay for repairs. Sofas this expensive I’d expect to be covered for 20/25 years like John Lewis and Furniture Village who we’ve had much better experiences with. I’d highly recommend reconsidering an Ashley Manor sofa.

After 18 months my Ashley Manor sofa…

After 18 months my Ashley Manor sofa started to dip in middle and we discovered the frame was cracked. They arranged for a representative from Homeserve to carry out the repairs. Apparently it happened as the extra feet that should have supported the game were missing. Issue resolved no problem.

Bought sofas made by this company from…

Bought sofas made by this company from scs in 2017. All the top layer has peeled off they look disgusting. Because it was so long ago they have refused to do anything so I'm left with £3000 worth of sofas that I can't even sell for £50 . Scs have offered me 10% of the original price but what can I buy with that ! Avoid this company is my advice

Thumbs down for poor service

My wife and I ordered a 3 pce suite from Sterling Furniture on 13 July 2021. We subsequently learned the manufacturer was Ashley Manor. We paid for the furniture prior to delivery 16 weeks later. When the furniture, supposedly as ordered, was eventually delivered to us on 1 November 2021 the sofa was of a completely different material and colour from that which we had ordered. Sterling took action to correct the matter by re-ordering a new 3 pce suite as per our original order but warned it would take another 16 weeks for delivery. Not satisfied with this, I wrote to the Managing Director of Ashley Manor on 4 November politely pointing out the problem and seeking reassurance that the correct furniture would be supplied this time and asking that, in view of their error, they prioritise manufacture and delivery of our re-order for which they had already been paid. In addition to sending the letter I emailed a copy to Ashley Manor. The letter and email were ignored. Between 16 November and 22 December 2021 I sent them another 4 emails, all of which were ignored. There has been no apology from Ashley Manor for the inconvenience caused to us by their incompetence. It would appear that customer satisfaction is not part of their business strategy. The only reason I award 1 star for service is because I am unable to award no stars due to your website constraints.

The trouble is when you purchase a sofa…

The trouble is when you purchase a sofa from a well known outlet like Cousins Furniture Store you don’t really research the suppling company. I wish I had as I may had changed my mind. Our journey started January 2020 with a visit to Cousins Tysley.

We have been a previous customer 4 years before buying a suit for our conservatory £2600 so no cheap and no issues.

When we placed the order we were informed. Delivery duration and of course COVID had an impact in that too.

Are suite was delivered in July but maybe an issue with entering our home due to COVID-19 restrictions.

We received confirmation that a full delivery service would be in place to a room of are choice and the date was set.

I want to add full payment was made many months before delivery.

Delivery made sofa and chairs placed and feet attached to the bottom of all chairs. So getting to known the product we noticed that within the fabric their seemed to be a build up of threads you could say very similar to scare tissue.

If you caught the area say it pulled if you tooled your feet under you when you sit down as many of us do it snags the thread and you have a pull.

The more we looked at the product we found fault then as we moved the furniture the feet spun around due to them not being screwed into position.

Cousins arranged for these issues to be addressed (Still waiting for them to all be closed out )

During August 2020 we ordered the foot stool and collected it from the store with no issues 👍.

When we unwrapped it my word another area in the middle of the stool that had the material issue.

When you looked at the stool it was even all the way around Ashley Manor sent Homeserve to correct the stool by replacing the material. When I arrived home the cover was replaced but the corners where all pulled down which didn’t match the suite.

So this issue still hasn’t been closed out as I’ve asked AM to take it back into their workshop but they insisted Home serve have to sort the issue do to date I have had to take four days holiday to which one day the technician didn’t call.

Very stressful indeed, if a solicitor is reading this and believe I have grounds for compensation I would love to here from you.

Ashley Manor you should be ashamed of yourself closely filled by Cousin Furniture Store Dudley / Tysley

Ashley Manor Sofa - our worst ever purchase

After buying an Ashley manor sofa 5 years ago the only thing it is fit for is the landfill. Such a shame the springs in the base and the seat cushions are shot after very little use. I didn't even get a reply when I tried to contact them. Do not go near them and Bentalls should not be selling this rubbish as a quality product as it definitely is not.

Disgraceful

What can I say about the lovely Ashley manor they have no clue how to run the place. Grant baker could not even organise a p**s up in a brewery never mind a factory. Terrible place, horrific furniture and clueless mangers.

Purchased a Loung sofa/suite in 2015…

Purchased a Loung sofa/suite in 2015 from Ashley Manor retail outlet and paid £2500 by 2018 the Sofa had developed manufacturing issues where some of the fabric was breaking down when I contacted the retailer and Ashley Manor they just didn't want to know.

I have now put this down to experience but wanted to warn that this company pretends to manufacture quality, not recomended at all.
