Just had a lovely meal at the Ashoka Bearsden. The lamb was so tender and delicious, we had the pre theatre menu which is great value. Our assistant, Hriday was lovely, such nice service in a relaxed atmosphere. Thank you.

This was honestly the worst Indian food I’ve ever tasted. Ordered online and picked up in the restaurant today. Arrived at the restaurant which was empty with my food waiting for me. On arriving home I opened up the bag. Nan bread was in a what I can only describe as a microwave bag. It was limp and chewy, not a good start. Chicken Korma sauce was runny as hell and tasteless. Very little chicken. Chicken Pakora looked as if it had been microwaved and again the portion size was poor. ( although it didn’t matter as like the rest of the meal it went uneaten) Honestly disappointed as Ashoka was recommended to us. Waste of money and the lack of customers in the restaurant should have been a red flag. Never again.

Great authentic Indian restaurant- kindly service & excellent food - highly recommend this place
The staff and food is a great experience. Very fresh and reasonable. Staff are patient, polite and a great team. Especially Varsha at the restaurant in Ashton Lane off Byres Rd. She was the gears of a brilliant birthday dinner
Always a good evening.

Very tasty food and amazing staff. They took care of all our dietary requirements and made changes accordingly.
Clean place and perfect if you are craving Indian food.
Do try their Paneer Kadhai, it was heavenly.
So......coming from England, the adopted home of Indian cuisine I was expecting to struggle to find a decent Indian restaurant in Amsterdam but was pleasantly surprised to find this little gem. Excellent food, Gurkha beer, great service, jovial staff and really perfect decor. Very cosy despite there being lots of tables.
