Poor quality and terrible service DON'T BUY

We purchased an Asko washing machine W4086C in December 2019. Almost immediately we had problems with the machine. It started smelling like burning rubber. It also got black stripes on the glass of the door. It also ate and destroyed our clothes. A repair guy was sent out and said nothing was wrong. Two years later the machine started leaking. We were given a free extended warranty by Asko at time of purchase, so we went back to Asko. They sent out repair guys who diagnosed a split hose. They repaired the hose and noted that the frame of the machine was warped. Repair guys left and our machine continued leaking. Repair guys came again, said that they couldn't do anything, and left. So here we are now. Three months without a functional washing machine. A machine which is less than three years old, and which in fact was 2.5 years old when this repair fiasco started. Endless telephone discussions with Asko. Since then we have discovered that this so-called Asko extended warranty is in fact a warranty which Asko has farmed out to a third-party insurance company (Domestic and General). They have been as unhelpful as Asko. If you wait long enough on hold with either Asko or Domestic and General, you get to hear all about how they are so consumer focused and how customer care is their priority. The Asko hold recording even mentions the quality and durability of their products. What an absolute joke. Please do not waste your money on Asko products. You can buy a better product for a third of the price, with a better warranty even. Asko do not care about the quality of their products or the satisfaction of their customers. We purchased Asko products because we believed we were buying a top quality product. Indeed, as has become obvious to us, it is inferior rubbish, and their so-called customer care is non-existent. Despite many hours on the telephone with Asko and their warranty insurance company, all we have is a leaking washing machine which we cannot use because our laundry floods. What an utter waste of money and time.

ASKO - ALL TALK NO ACTION

Purchased a new washing machine $1699.00 and had ongoing water leaks after about 18 months. We had the service company out to fix it 3 times and finally told us they could do no more. Asko had them do a report on the machine which indicated it was beyond fixing. We asked ASKO for a full refund which after many phone calls (made by us) it was approved on the 28/07/22. Asko indicated the refund would be actioned within 3weeks. After more phone calls we are still waiting for the refund as of the 3/10/22. The washing machine was picked up by a company for ASKO on the 02/09/22. The service team say all the things you want to hear but nothing happens other than talk and promises. If you have a problem with an ASKO product Good Luck. DON'T BUY ASKO if you expect after sales service.

After many more phone calls we have finally received a full refund. If you are having trouble with a refund outside of the warranty period from ASKO check out Australian Consumer Law as I believe it overrides the limited warranty period given by companies.

Wesley from ASKO started shouting.....

Wesley from ASKO started shouting when my ASKO job number appeared to have no date associated to it. In the end he told me to contact a service agent direct. And gave me number. Fault is fixable, ASKO wanted to wash hands of it.

Maybe just apologise, and suggest a workaround rather than shout and carry on? Then u might deserve a single star?

I have purchased Asko washing machine…

I have purchased Asko washing machine in Apr 2022 . Spent $3000 thinking I am investing on best appliance( but reality is its worst than my old samsung $600 machine). Its been 4-5 months this machine is giving me problem one after another. Customer care is so rude , not ready to listen to problems and always in rush- when asked can u please listen to problem - they reply we are in rush and cannot listen to your complain. hmmm.... again keeping my patience I asked can I talk to someone else in your team , his reply - no sorry I am working from home. @Asko - Is this how customer care treats your valuable customers?

Continuing my conversation - I asked for complain number as my reference - he replied No complain number , he has sent email to his manager( coz I am asking for refund) . Fine , my next question - when Can I expect call back from your manager - I dont know and I dont want to give false promises ....call back if u dont hear from us untill next week ( so @asko , another question - dont you have any SLA by when customer should get reply?) .

Seriously this is not what I expected from such a reputed company. THE WORST after sale service?

I have been your loyal customer for so long but the kind of after sale experience/service I have faced (your operators are VERY Rude) I will NOT purchase any Asko appliance from now on wards.

Sorry Asko you have lost one more customer !!!!!!

This company needs a massive overhaul…

This company needs a massive overhaul in customer service. An almost $3000 machine started smoking and leaving melted black residue behind and it’s 12 days before they can send someone to take a look. Which is a long time with two young kids! After a call back this morning to express my disappointment and see if we can get someone out sooner, the ASKO representative hung up on me! This is also after several phone calls to try and get $200 credit voucher advertised when purchased which has still not arrived. I do not recommend their appliances or customer service call centre and would give less stars than 1 if I could.

Actually zero stars

Actually zero stars, i would stay away from this company. When the product worked it was great. However their customer service team is quite possibly the worst i have experienced.

Our dishwasher broke after less than a year ( January 2022) . They were unable to service the dishwasher or obtain spare parts.

We were advised to apply for a refund. Which we did. I was advised that the old dishwasher needed to be picked up by ASKO before a refund could be returned.

It took months to get the dishwasher picked up, and now i multiple call to ASKO support team to chase up the refund seems to go nowhere .

The " Accounts person " who is dealing with this never seems to be in the office when i call and never returns a call.

It has been 6 months since this whole saga started and it still isnt resolved.

I am awaiting a refund and out of pocked $1200 for an LG dishwasher.

Never buy Asko

Bought an Asko steam oven. Leaves dirty water onto food from day 1..after 12 months of numerous phone calls and emails with no response from then currently with QCAT.

Technicians came out 3 times...told us nothing was wrong in spite of videos we'd taken. Such ignorance and incompetence.

Awful non-existent customer service.
Shouldn't be in business.

Very unprofessional!!!

We bought Cook top, oven, combo microwave /oven and dishwasher.

We purchased through Good Guys, had great service from them and it all feel apart once Asko got involved!

I had to constantly follow up what is happening with my order and when it would be delivered. I was told all in stock, delivery arranged. 1/2 my delivery received and the other 1/2 no one seemed to know what was going on? Also had wrong dishwasher delivered. After several weeks got all my order. Very unsatisfactory experience with asko.

We bought an ASKO washing machine…

We bought an ASKO washing machine W2084C. After 4 uses the front loading door started to leak water, we contacted ASKO who had it replaced by a local service centre. After 6 washes that door started to leak ????. So I called ASKO again and was told I was number 72 in the cue to speak to a warranty person.... NUMBER 72 !!!!!. They were getting through about 4 people every 30 mins. which means it would take 47 hours for me to get to the front. !!!!. NEVER BUY AN ASKO APPLIANCE.

Asko does nothing but lie about their…

Asko does nothing but lie about their warranties. My dishwasher has not worked for over 6 months. I am still waiting for the new unit that they promised on 24/4/2022. 9 weeks later I still have no dishwasher. Asko does not respond to emails nor do they answer or return phone calls. DO NOT BUY ASKO!!

Disgraceful non existent service, dont buy!!

I would have given a minus rating if possible. Disgraceful customer service, whilst on hold waiting for hours on several occasions for my call to be answered, I continuously heard how Asko 'pride themselves on their customer service'. The service is non existent and the issue with my faulty appliance has not been rectified and I have had NO communication from Asko and NO response to several emails. DO NOT BUY ASKO PRODUCTS.

Terrible costumer service

Terrible costumer service. Not helpful and extremely rude. I bought 2 appliances from Asko and both of them as soon as the warranty finishes they break. And you it keeps breaking. Very bad quality and bad costumer service. DON'T BUY ASKO!!

Terrible experience all round

ASKO dishwasher died on us after only 1.5 years. We are trying to get it serviced (and apparently only Asko agents can repair them as we have extended warranty) and we can't seem to get through to them. It's now been 3 weeks and nothing.

We bought it at The Good Guys who told us ASKO dishwasher was the best in the market - I am now suspecting they just wanted to get rid of them as I have read on other posts retailers are telling them the same thing.

Extreme disappointment

I wish to express my extreme disappointment with both your product but more so your follow up service. My husband and I purchased an Asko Dishwasher from Harvey Norman on the Gold Coast last May, purchased prior to our kitchen renovation in May 2021and installed in July 2021. After having been away for 6 weeks I arrived home home a fortnight ago to find that my machine no longer worked. Having attempted to get a local service centre to come, resulting in more than 4 calls with no response to any of them, I decided to call your Melbourne Book a Service Centre, again I have rung three times with no result, having hung on to the phone for a very long time each time and leaving a call back request each time I am yet waiting to get a reply. Therefore I was lucky enough to get a local dishwasher repairer to come and look at the fault which to me seemed a minor fault, however it turned out that the flow meter was faulty and cannot be repaired as it is encased in a module and can not be accessed. I believe that we should either, get someone here asap to do the repair or alternatively have this machine replace with a new machine. This Asko dishwasher was not our first choice but after it had been strongly recommended by the sales team at Harvey Norman, them quoting it was one of the best machines on the market we decided to go with Asko, possibly our first mistake as are extremely disappointed with this product as the machine has really only functioned well for less than 10 months. Please address this matter urgently

Worse customer service ever

Worse customer service ever. Takes hours to get onto the help line and no one ever gets back to you. I have been waiting since January to get someone to fix my machine. Never again will I deal with this company. Should have stuck to Miele. Will certainly be going back to them

ASKO - never ever again !!!

Just been onto to ask service where I have tried to get a service call out for my 4 year old dishwasher. The waiting track informs you that they have 300 staff waiting to help you. Unfortunately their one service technician in my area is apparently retiring so I need to contact a subcontractor myself? why have 300 people in Australian answering phones is they don't book in appointments? I asked to speak to someone higher up and spoke to an escalations manager who asked me "what do you suggest we do about it?". She then told me that this was going nowhere and hung up on me. I have never in my entire life been treated so rudely by someone apparently in customer service, she was disgusting.
In summary though, I live in Sydney metro and apparently Asko does not have a service technician. The worst after sale service I have ever experienced.

Terrible unreliable after market service, questionable product reliability

Following our purchase of an Asko washer and dryer, the dryer failed to collect water, and it became impossible to effectively dry the clothing. We called the service centre and set up a service call. When we received a call from the service repairman, he advised he was unable to find a parking space, and would need to reschedule! He enquired the nature of the problem with the dryer, and he responded that it seems the washer would need a new water pump, which, upon checking, he didn't have in stock. He advised he would order this part and would call the following week to reschedule. We never received a call back! We called Asko, and after a long wait, service advised they had not received a request for this part!!! So we had to call the service department again, to reschedule the service repair. In addition, the charge for the first 15 minutes and thereafter is very very expensive, but what option do you have. Overall, extremely frustrating, and deplorable service. Once we eventually have this washer repaired, we will let it run its useful like, but would never buy Asko again, firstly for the lack of quality, and second, for the unreliability of the service centre. UPDATE: finally received a response from Asko rescheduling the visit in 2 weeks, with no apology for inconvenience and delays. Seems the Service Department is in disarray!

Buyer Beware - Awful customer service, fails just outside warranty

I will NEVER recommend ASKO again after…the recent service or should I say LACK OF we have received. No Communications customer service staff rude and not helpful.
Long story short, technician came but didn't have the required part Was told they would get back in touch to re-book a call when the part arrives. No further communication received Rang over 4 times been on hold for over 1 & half hours each time to now be told the part was in stock a few weeks ago and no one booked un the service , dishwasher (only 3-4 years this part should not be failing after this time on such an expensive machine, will never buy or recommend ASKO again.
