Lovely rooms, completely spoiled by attitude and total disregard of guest complaints.
All terms and conditions loaded in the company’s direction. You can’t claim a refund if you aren’t happy! They favour events more than guests comfort and convenience.
We wanted to checkout with a full refund when some of the facilities ( lounge area) were withdrawn from our use, ie before the 5.30 closing down of the main house, BECAUSE A FUNCTION WAS HAPPENING THAT AND THE NEXT EVENING, without our being made aware on booking or thereafter.
It states in their info that ‘the house will close ‘UNLESS WE HAVE A FUNCTION’, suggesting that it, and public areas, remain available to guests.
We are now hoping to have some redress through our card provider. But no such consideration from the management!!!
Such a disappointment and the worst response to our feelings on this occasion, from the manager and director.
So to recap; apart from the accommodation and food, we cannot recommend this place.

Very overpriced for Afternoon tea. Cost worked out at £43 each as added service charge and charged for a tonic water although no tea. And service not that great had to ask for the scones, when eventually finding waiter to ask. So the cheese scones were too Late as we already started on sweets. Only had one coffee each no more offered and could not catch the eye of a waiter .

A wonderful twilight igloo afternoon tea on New Year’s Eve. Fantastic food and excellent service from Hannah and Kyle- nothing was too much trouble!

A lovely looking venue which is suitable for special occasions. Overall food was nice, but service was slow at times and the coffee was served warm. Also the gratuity was added to the bill without being informed (We were asked for payment, but not shown a bill). But I did manage to get the money back.
