Pretty awful experience

Paid for express service, a year later still dont have suit. Had endless fittings even though have a pretty standard build (their words). Finally got them to copy a jacket that I have that fits. Then get given the suit bag without being told that trousers had also been remade only for me to find out on day of event that it was with original measurements and hence couldn't wear suit. Called and was told they would get back to me, took aont for someone to call and ask if everything was OK. I explained again and was told I would be contacted to sort things out. Never got called. When I called there was no record of the phone calls that had occurred. When asked for refund got told that original company is in liquidation and can't pay out refunds. Funnily enough it 's at least the second time. Hopefully will recover something but definitely would tell anyone to avoid

Good service and Good product

I have recently bought 3 suits from ASTF, through the Bristol Advisor Mac Rahman.

He is very good, taking accurate measurements and adjustments, suggesting tasteful personal touches and he has a very good sense of pairing fabric, colour and piping. Overall this creates a rich character for each suit.

The suits themselves are high quality and (as I took advantage of various available deals) a good price. The fit is perfect and the difference to shop-bought suits is stark.

Warning: Do not do business with A Suit That Fits!

Do no do business with this company. Do no believe the positive reviews your read about this company -- they are so obviously written by A Suit That Fits itself. All you need to know is in this review and the other reviews that tell the story about how they were ripped off.

A Suit That Fits (or whatever limited company it is now hiding behind) owes my wife and I £1,245. I ordered a three-piece suit for my wedding in March, 2017. I had a very clear idea of what I wanted and showed A Suit That Fits a variety of images of a mod-style suit that I wanted them to identically recreate. They assured me they could make it identically and in time for my wedding.

When it arrived for the first fitting it was nothing like what I ordered. When I complained and asked for the suit to be remade to my specifications, the company denied that there was anything wrong with the suit and said there was nothing they could do. I then cancelled the order and suddenly they said they could remake it to my specifications. I said I would only agree to this if they guaranteed me a full refund if the suit was not remade as I ordered. They refused.

I then asked for a full refund and the company refused, so I took them to the small claims court and won. I have a judgement against them for £1,245. When I contacted the company to ask them when they were going to pay the money the court ordered, Daniel Warwick, the managing director of the company that owns A Suit That Fits, rather smugly told me that A Suit That Fits was under new ownership and that it was the previous company that owned A Suit That Fits that owed me the money. That company was put into liquidation and has almost no assets to pay me or its creditors. Daniel Warwick was a director of the old company and is a director of the new one. He and his company has unjustly profited from people like my wife and I, who worked hard to save money for our wedding fund, only for an unscrupulous company to come along and take a huge chunk of that from us without providing anything in return. There's a word for that sort of behaviour, and plenty of words to describe the people that commit it, but I can't use them here as the laws in this country protect such people from being called what they are.

The bankruptcy laws in this country are a joke and allow far too many to walk around pretending to be respectable businesspeople when they're nothing but well-dressed thieves, stealing from ordinary, honest, hard-working people. People who have overseen the management of a failed business as a director should not be able to become a director of a new company that owns virtually the same assets as the old liquidated company. This is surely obvious. What makes anyone think that the new company is going to be any more of a success and more responsible with creditors' and customers' money?

Do not do business with this company. You will either lose your money or get a ridiculously substandard product.

I had two suits and five shirts made on a bespoke basis and they were excellent: best pieces amongst all my tailored clothes. Their City location, flexible appointments and knowledgeable tailors all contributed to a great experience.

A complete waste of time and money - Avoid at all costs

Having originally paid for 2 suits during April 2016, I was informed that, once the suits were sent from the tailor, it would take a maximum of 2 fittings to get the fit perfect....In October 2017 I decided to cut my losses and ask for a refund. I had to return at least once every 2 weeks until that time, including 2 complete restarts given how bad the suits actually were! The suits were a much worse fit than anything bought of the rack on the high street.

The rep I was in contact with (Archie Sam) agreed that i could have a refund (after much badgering from my part). I was then informed that the refund couldn't be provided until January. I questioned why this would take 3 months but didn't get a satisfactory response. The refund failed to materialise and then, lo and behold, in March I then get an email informing me that the company (DW Clothing) was going into liquidation and therefore couldn't fulfil my refund request.

Thankfully, I paid on a credit card and so at least got my money back via the credit card company. A suit that fits is still trading - all sounds a little suspect if you ask me!

High quality and promptness required

I needed a good quality suit for an event seven weeks into the future. After a couple of false starts with other companies I made an appointment to meet Mac Rahman at the ASTF Bristol studio. Having lived in Hong Kong for many years where I had several suits made by W W Chan and Sons, one of the most respected tailors there, I was able to compare "services".

Mac was very thorough, explained all the options available and advised accordingly. We are not talking about an Adonis-like body here so Mac had a bit of a challenge on his hands and I am pleased to say that the resulting suit and shirts were very, very, well made and comfortable to wear.

The suit, shirts and the style advisor are a credit to ASTF.

Had my wedding suit made here

Had my wedding suit made here. Had my appointmens with Katrina. She is amazing! Very attentive and professional. She knows exactly how the garments should fit, knowing where and what needs to be taken up/in.

She really listened to want I wanted and gave really helpful advice when choosing my garment.

Unfortunately, my suit was not fully ready yet for my wedding day, it needed a little extra tweak. Katrina was able to fix my coat temporarily for I needed to take it away with me that day and said that if I wanted this fixed permanently I still can, I have 2 months to bring it in to fix it, free of charge.

Despite this issue, Katrina has been really understanding and really knows what she is doing. I would definitely get another suit again.

My suit looked amazing on my wedding. Thank you A Suit That Fits!

I highly rate ASTF

I highly rate ASTF! From the beginning suit design and styling handled by Sam through to the number of fitting sessions to get the suit fitting just right with Katrina. It was a great experience and outstanding value for money. I was allowed to provide my own fabric and I'm amazed by the end results!

Outstanding, well-tailored, bespoke suits!

I have ordered, in total, 3 suits now through ASTF. Each time I've worked directly with Mac Rahman. I've chosen to return and use ASTF because, quite honestly, they are fantastic at what they do. They provide bespoke, extremely well-made suits and everything from their customer service through to their actual stylists/tailors is fantastic. I am yet to find issues with delivery, quality, tailoring etc etc and can only recommend their services enough. I will be back, yet again!

A suit that will never fit

This has been the most frustrating customer service experience I have ever had.

I have been trying since June of last year to get a suit that actually fits me, and after countless fittings and several remakes, I still don't have a jacket that actually fits. The basic construction is appalling - I am not splitting hairs over "too tight there" or "too loose here" - the jacket does not even drape correctly and looks like it was some DIY project gone wrong.

I have kindly requested a refund and was informed that they are going through bankruptcy and therefore my only option was to attempt to claim as a creditor.

I am giving up and just going to cut my losses - I've wasted enough time in hopes of getting a suit that actually fits, but my useless garments are going in the bin.

First time for tailored suit

And very happy with it, I have since received my second suit and have thus far used them to make me 14 shirts. Happy to recommend.

The advice I was given throughout the design and fit process was invaluable.

Glad I gave them a try

I had been on the mailing list for a long time and when I saw a low price offer for a shirt I thought I'd give the company a try. I was impressed with the quality of materials and the helpfulness of the staff and when my shirt was delivered I was very happy with it. I have since ordered two suits and more shirts and continue to be happy with them. I just wish they still had an office in canary wharf.
