Hi,terrible service,sales person Liam…

Hi,terrible service,sales person Liam O’laighin totally not professional,l don’t understand where Sandyford Audi are getting their staff.? I booked test drive 2 days before,phoned 3 times before ,Liam confirmed that everything was in order and the car would be ready for us. When we arrived we were left waiting for over 3 hours. During this time we were repeatedly reassured that the car was available and being prepared for our test drive. After hours of waiting around another member of staff informed us that the car was sold. The first time we heard this information and clearly had been given misleading information from the start. Lack of communication, organisation and respect for customers time! Be aware anyone dealing with Audi Sandyford!

I have supported Audi since 1998 but never again

I ordered a new A3 on 1 July 2025, called in on 7 July to change the spec and was told my new car would be 10 to 12 weeks for delivery. I called in several times after that to check as to how things were progressing. Meanwhile I sold my current A3 to a friend who was happy to wait until late September when my new car arrived. However when I called to thd dealership late September to check day of delivery I found that my salesman Wayne Kevlin had gone on holidays for 2 weeks without returning my calls of the previous week and no car was forthcoming and could be November 2025. Horrendous service and treatment of a customer. Cancelled my order and will never go back again. I'm now driving a fab Mercedes A250 AMG Exec!

Worst after care and sleaziest sales team

honestly cannot believe how poor the after-sales experience has been with Audi Centre Sandyford.

It’s now three months since I bought the car, and I’m still waiting on my logbook which the sales guy sent to a completely incorrect address.

I’ve called, emailed, and followed up constantly yet I’ve received zero proactive updates. Each time I get in touch, told it’s sorted … with nothing being done

The most disappointing part is the contrast between what’s promised and what’s delivered. During the sale, I was told their aftercare was “second to none.” In reality, it’s been nothing but silence, vague answers, and zero ownership.

Electrics broken by mechanic

Went to Audi Sandyford for timing belt replacement and when I came back at the end of the day the mechanic had broken my electric window on drivers side!! No apologise made, in fact they wanted to charge me €240 to fix. When challenging the manager I was met by pure Ignorance.

Excessive, costly and unnecessary

Booked service and told on arrival that this was a Lifetime or some such service and would cost €500+. My car had just been through its NCT and passed with flying colours. All I needed really was an oil change, but No, that was not possible. I will go local.

Highly recommended – this is exactly how car servicing should be!

I recently took my Audi S3 to the Audi Service Center in Sandyford, and I can genuinely say it was one of the best service experiences I’ve had. From start to finish, the entire process was seamless. I received video inspection/advice from their skilled technicians. Jason and Pamela from Customer Service were especially helpful, updates at every stage, so I never had to wonder about the status of the car.

The Sandyford location is not only convenient but also incredibly well-maintained, with a comfortable waiting area stocked with plenty of coffee!

They provided a clear breakdown of costs, and there were no surprise fees. With the quality of service and expertise on offer, I found the pricing to be fair and reflective of the value they deliver. The team clearly works efficiently and respects their customers’ time, making the experience all the more pleasant.

A satisfied customer became disappointed

This review reflects how a satisfied customer became disappointed within the first three years of ownership. The following insights are based on my personal experience, updated as of October 2024.

Since purchasing my Audi Q5 new, I’ve encountered numerous issues in the first 3 years:

1. The driver seat adjustment handle detached.
2. The electric charging port door failed to open.
3. The chassis and suspension were misaligned, causing all four tires to wear out within the 1st year and just 12,000 km.
4. The rear driver’s door LED strip stopped working.
5. The drive system failed three times, and a software update to address it noticeably reduced the battery’s efficiency.

While three of these five issues were eventually repaired under warranty and one is still pending a part, the sheer number of problems is unacceptable for a car less than three years old. To restore trust in Audi, I believe an extended warranty would be a reasonable and fair request given these extensive issues. However, this request was declined by both Audi customer support and the Audi garage.

When I approached the garage, I was told to contact Audi customer support for a warranty extension as they don’t handle this service. However, when I reached out to customer support, they stated that only the Audi Centre could make this decision, though they could pass on my request. It feels as though my request is simply being passed back and forth, leaving my concerns unresolved.

It’s valuable for the customer service team to listen to customer concerns. However, most decisions and issue resolutions remain the responsibility of the garage where the car was purchased. For a global brand, the brand makes luxury cars, it reflects poorly to separate authority from customer service, where customer feedback is received, without equipping them to resolve these issues directly. Without empower the customer service team the authority to effectively and substantially resolve customer concerns, the team risks becoming merely symbolic.

Furthermore, it’s essential to train Audi's after-sales team and garage technicians on the brand's core values. They represent the Audi brand, not just the garage, and should take greater responsibility, prioritising customer needs to ensure issues are thoroughly addressed.

Overall, I initially thought a 2-star rating for Audi Centre was fair, as the staffs' service has been good. However, after reading other customer reviews, I was reminded of the long booking times; each visit requires a 2-3 week wait. On one occasion, I wasn’t given a replacement car due to insufficient information recorded by the technician during booking. As a result, I had to take a lengthy journey home via Luas and bus, or I would have had to wait another 2-3 weeks for a new appointment. Given these frustrations, a 1-star rating feels more appropriate.

The following review was written shortly after I purchased the car in January 2022.

I bought a PHEV Q5 Competition model recently from Audi Centre. The car is brilliant, both performance and efficiency are much better than I thought. It is very practical for family use to compare with the MK7.5 GTI Performance I had. I don't doubt why Q5 is the best-selling model in Audi as it is very attractive and functional in every corner. It may not be the best one in all the same size luxury SUVs in everyone's opinion, but it is the best one that suits me.

Through my purchase experience, I really want to thank the sales specialist Mr. Raul Galatan for his professional and enthusiastic help. He was very patient to answer all my queries and ensure to deliver the service with my best satisfaction. He couldn't be more friendly and quick to respond to my questions after the sale. I also want to thank Mr. Geoff Kilroy in Finance for making my work easy to transfer finance smoothly. It was a more than 5-star experience for this purchase.

The blonde lady with glasses on the…

The blonde lady with glasses on the front desk is the rudest woman I’ve ever experienced in my life , I am not sure what wrong with her! I went in with my dad as he was getting a car and before she realised I was with him was extremely rude to me . Witnessed her being rude to other staff members it also looked like.

Audi Q4 electric the worst decision ive…

Audi Q4 electric the worst decision ive made in my life! This country is not ready for electric unless you want to waste 3 to 5 hours a week of your time!! Hate this car.

Its nice on inside and outside and nice to drive but everything else ruins any benefits. Stay a million miles away from this car or any electric.

Experience with Audi started to be very unbelievably good. Always was looking in the Audi. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We was dealing with Wayne. He call in advance made appointment for the car pick up time, even put red 🎀on the car. So was great joy, and hope the car itself won't let us down.

Positive sales experience from the outset dealing with Simon in the new car sales dept right through to handover stage. Simon communicated at all stages with me in the sales process. I would recommend Simon in the Audi centre to deal with.

Thank you for EVERYTHING

Called into Audi Sandyford during the week to 'view' a car. The Sales Assistant and staff were so helpful, obliging and jolly during my visit. They guided me 100% towards making a purchase. Went out of their way to be so helpful - I ended up buying a lovely car with assurance of trouble free driving. Well done Audi - Sandyford and thank you for ALL your assistance.

Worst sales experience ever

I called to the site looking for a price and quotation for a new electric vehicle on two occasions. On both occasions there was no sales guy available to take my query, when busy this is understandable. What is unforgivable from one sales guy to another, is that I left my details but on both occasions no one contacted me or called me back. Although living in Sandyford, given that there seemed no interest in my business I went to Audi northside, it seems they are different dealerships, unlike Sandyford, they know how to treat customers. Order has been placed with Audi Northside and I will have my new in July. I have previously purchased two cars from Audi Southside but will not be back. As a by the way I got speaking to a lady in Northside ( a customer) and she mentioned the same experience in Audi southside.

Thanks David

I never expect service to be great from car dealers. In general they have lost the run of themselves charging way too much and blaming the government for it not realising the part they have to play. Its's unfortunate because buying a car should be a very enjoyable experience. We just collected an A1 from Audi Center. David O'Callaghan could not have been more attentive and made the experience a good one. Everything was ready to go on time. The car was presented in pristine condition. At no point did we feel rushed or unwelcome. Lost a star in solidarity with those who have had a very bad experience. Thanks again to David who went some way to softening my view of the motor trade.

Buyer beware!

Buyer beware!! Tried to buy a new car here, deal agreed. Car was due in January and was 9 to 10 months late, not their fault. Less than 24 hours before pick up they called to say they were taking 12k off the price of my trade in. An absolute joke! Nightmare to deal with!
