Great experience with this car hire company and would use again if we return to Crete. Excellent communication from the point of booking. Easy pickup on arrival at Chania airport, drop off point is only a short walk (less than 10 mins) to the airport and a shuttle can be arranged from there if needed. Staff were so polite and friendly, a credit to the company. Highly recommend.

We were more than happy with our choice having booked a car via AutoRentals Crete. Everything worked out just fine. The owner was always available and more than happy to help out. The car worked perfectly, had everything we needed. There is no bond, all the insurance is covered, would use it anytime again.

We can only echo the other 5 star reviews on here about Auto rentals Crete, the service was amazing!. Our flight was delayed but Kris was waiting for us at Chania arrivals quick process decent car (Opel crossland) fit 3 adults 2 children and 3 suitcases and carry ones. I had no problems with car everything as described all staff very friendly and polite. Bit different to what I'm used to on returning the car, not a negative just not used to parking car in lot then handing over keys to lot supervisor then leaving but a very quick process. In short amazing service, value and honesty. Thank you

We used Autorentals Crete last week. Dimitris was very helpful with the booking. We paid in advance. We arrived at Chania Airport, picked up a nine seater Fiat Talento Long, had it for eight days and returned it to Chania Airport. The whole thing was stress free and easy. The Autorentals Crete staff at Chania Airport were friendly and helpful. It cost 780 euros all in. We would use them again

I have tried many car rental companies in Crete. No more trying. If I ever visit Crete, I know whom to contact. Delivery and return of the car so easy. The car was what promised, with all insurance included. I could go to the beach and not worry, if the tyre would break. I mention this because many companies promise full insurance, but then tyres or wind shields are not included. Here you get a full insurance and you dont have to worry.

Chose this company after reading reviews. Communication during and after booking was excellent. Car delivered to hotel on time by polite and helpful staff. Car was the one I had ordered, almost new and in excellent conditions. The price was reasonable and included full CDW with no excess, a real bonus. Can't recommend this company enough.

We needed a vehicle suitable for 6 people, and the larger hire companies seemed quite expensive. With a bit of research I found Autorentals Crete. They had a VW Caddy available at a surprisingly good rate, so I decided to go with it. The best thing I found was the level of customer service. We were met in the airport arrivals hall & taken to the vehicle. No one tried to sell me any extras, and off we went. When the rear window got broken it was swiftly replaced, and I had nothing to pay! Thank you Marigianna and George!

Nothing to complain about.
Met with name sign after baggage claim. Shuttle taxi 1 min from airport to parking lot.
Filled out the papers, got the key, everything went well.
Everything is included just fill the car up with gas when delivery. Park the car at the same parking spot, give key to guard, same shuttle taxi 1 min back to airport.

Simply, this is the best car hire company on Crete, in my opinion . Hassle free pick up at the airport . Good cars , clean and mechanically sound . Mr Kopidakis is very honest , I thought I’d only paid a small deposit & was surprised to learn I’d paid it all ( busy time when I made the booking ) , lovely George phoned his Dad who confirmed I’d paid , several days later I was still fretting , Mr Kopidakis sent me a copy of the bank transfer showing I had paid in full . It would have been SO easy to have had me pay again . Thank you again for your honesty.

Read the reviews which I must state are outstanding.Made a reservation, paid the deposit and got a confirmation email from Dimitri within 3 minutes. Up to now very efficient. I will update on the experience after the 9th of June but up to now I have no complaints.

Great value for money compared to the big global names! Good communication from Dimitris, the new hire car was delivered to and collected from our Hotel by Dimitris’s son George. Can’t fault the service 5*****

As always the service the car itself the complimentary olive oil and the completely hassle free transaction makes them the only choice for me. No nitpicking no attitude just great service and away you go. Thank you Dimitris and son George (annoyingly handsome) and the excellent multi lingual girl who met us and couldn’t have been more helpful.

One of the best hire experiences we’ve had.

We were met at the airport in arrivals, paid for our car with cash (card is an option) and were soon on our way to the hotel.

The car was nearly new and in great condition, we had a Kia Stonic for the week.

Rates are all inclusive and you are fully insured without excess - so, no huge credit card deposit and no hard sell of pricey insurance additions when you collect.

You need a car to fully appreciate the island and to explore it at your own pace. Collection at the airport avoids lengthy transfers to your accommodation.

We will return to Crete and will definitely use these guys.

Dimitri and his staff is so great! Car was delivered earlier than planned and even gor an upgrade. Nice cars and fully insured. No need to stay for picking up the car. Next time hiring on Crete definitely again by Autorentals Crete!

We have been renting vehicles from Autorentals-Crete since 2017 (2-3 weeks per rent, 8 times in total). Initially we found this company as a result of a thorough research, having read many positive reviews on the Internet. We were not disappointed with our first experience, too, and became loyal customers from that time on. Flexible, punctual, friendly and helpful service! Initially nice people to deal with, strange booking process but ok. However the car was really worn out, struggled on the flat and the handbrake was worn. Tried to reason with the guys but things turned sour. Fact: the car had serious problems and inaccurate personal insults is not the way to deal with it.

Have hired cars in many countries.. none have even came anywhere close to the treatment I received absolute perfection… great communication …. Great willingness to help as much as possible to make travel across the island easy, car was immaculate and we were greeted at the exit to the airport with our name on card clear easy to find, a lovey man took our luggage for us to the car, showed us around, efficient contract signing and they even give us a gift of Crete olive oil (which is delicious) and off we went then dropping the car off was sweet simple I will 100% coming back to Crete and 100% using auto rentals Crete again!

We had an excellent car rental experience with AutoRentals. Communication with Dimitris was so easy and clear, and George met us at the airport. He handled the handover and paperwork brilliantly. I emailed Dimitris with only a couple of days notice, he responded within half an hour and we had a car delivered to our hotel as arranged. All very smooth, the car was immaculate ( they pointed out a couple of marks) and they invited us to take pictures. Contract was dealt with quickly and we were on our way. We just had to leave our keys at the hotel reception when the car was due for return. No stress at all. Car was perfect for our needs.
If we return to Crete will definitely use this company again and we recommended to others at our hotel too.
