Had my internal doors replaced excellent service couldn’t fault in any way 5*

A friend recommended A Wood Idea to us; we wanted to change our old, rickety spindle staircase for a wood/glass one. So pleased with the result. Fitter and French Polisher were professionals who took care of our home.
We're so pleased we went on to having all our interior doors replaced. These were all stained to match the staircase.
There was an issue with a couple of the door handles but they were changed with no issues.

We got excellent products which were fitted by skilled professionals at a good price.
Don't waste time shopping around, peace of mind is invaluable and this Company will look after you throughout.

We had our staircase newel posts and banister replaced with glass inserts and Marc the joiner did a fantastic job, such a skilled craftsman. The company were a pleasure to deal with and everything was completed quickly and efficiently with no mess. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

We recently purchased our flooring from Awoodidea and couldn’t be happier with the experience. After moving into our new home, we felt overwhelmed and didn’t know where to start, but having seen their work on social media, we decided to visit the store. From just one visit, we felt confident enough to make our purchase. There were plenty of options available, and the staff were incredibly helpful in guiding us and narrowing down the choices to suit our home. We’re absolutely thrilled with the final result — it has truly made our house feel like a home.

This company couldn’t improve because management are totally against customer service, we had numerous doors and a handrail fitted by this lot .
To say it was an abortion of a job would be an understatement, misaligned door furniture and a handrail that couldn’t support a three year old. We had an initial date of 16 weeks for an undersized bespoke door, which turned into 32 weeks which was an absolute joke. Numerous calls and emails, which weren’t answered. Only then, when we sent an e mail to quote the Consumer Acts 2015 which they were in breach of, did we get a response, only for to be told they had cancelled the order for the bespoke door. The only good thing to come out of this mess, was Marc who rectified the, if at best, mediocore job finished ( or not finished ) by another one of their fitters. I’m sure A Wood Idea will respond to this with their version, but at the end of the day, this has been an on going problem since April 2025?

Used these for the second time. Both times have been great. From Andy sorting everything out to Paul fitting the floor and Michael fitting the doors. Told my daughter who has since had her floor fitted aswell. Would recommend them

Sent me the wrong doors. Told me they don't have the correct ones in stock anymore. Said the wrong doors would be collected. I'm still waiting after a week. Meanwhile I'm out of pocket. Just awful.

We were recommended to use A Wood Idea by our building contractor. They supplied us with all our internal doors, hardwood threshes and luxury vinyl tiling. They were a pleasure to work with, with Mark and Kane offering expert advice and great customer service. Their LVT fitter, Paul O’Hara was a true craftsman and did a superb job fitting the herringbone LVT we selected [Tarkett]. Overall it was a great experience working with A Wood Idea and we highly recommend them.

There was a good choice of laminate flooring and as I chose the special offer, the price was very competitive. Staff were helpful in explaining the different types of flooring. They put me in touch with a fitter (Davey) who collected all the flooring for me, turned up when promised and did a neat and tidy job. He even noticed that I had not ordered a threshold bar, so brought one and just asked me to call the store to pay for it, which I did.

I cannot praise the customer service I received enough! Sara was amazing, attentive, patient, and incredibly helpful throughout the process. I have to admit, I was quite a difficult customer, changing my door choice twice, yet Sara remained professional and accommodating every step of the way.
The doors themselves were of excellent quality, and the pricing was very competitive. Unfortunately, I didn’t end up purchasing them due to stock availability with the supplier, but despite this, the level of service I received was nothing short of impeccable from start to finish.

As I was so happy with my previous purchase I had no hesitation in using them again. I am so pleased with new herringbone flooring. Had a lovely man called Ron, supplied by this company, come and fit it in my hallway and it looks fantastic. Everything tidied away nicely afterwards as if he hadn't even been there.
The staff in shop and Iain, who came to measure for me, were very helpful.
As a lady of mature years living alone, it is wonderful to find a company who I feel I can trust and do exactly what they promise.

This was my first time using A Wood Idea and I will certainty be back. It is rare to find a company these days who are so helpful and on the ball in terms of customer service. Sara our Customer Service Advisor was amazing from start to finish. She assisted me to navigate my order for doors of various different sizes and we were delighted with the quality of our final choice. I would highly recommend this company for choice of doors, quality, value for money and excellent team work.

Polite, knowledgeable, and willing to negotiate a deal for 9 doors. Availability excellent. Delivery spot on. Drahm free from start to finish.
