Don’t collect on time …

Skip delivered on the day it was ordered for but ordered stated a collection in 2 weeks time yet online says 7 day skip hire! I informed them that it was ready for collection the day after it was delivered and Joe emailed saying it would be collected asap, well today is the collection day on original order and they haven’t collected. Now saying Monday. Poor service. Not surprised there constantly advertising on indeed for drivers.

Terrible skip hire company

I don't tend to write online reviews, but Baker Waste really is a company that needs to be avoided.
First, the online booking system lets you specify a delivery date, but do not assume that the skip will actually be delivered on this date. My skip was a day late, already setting my DIY project back.
But the collection has been the real issue. Just before the scheduled collection date they copied me into a general email to all customers saying that some collections might be delayed. But what was not clear was how delayed they meant! It has now been over 2 weeks since the agreed collection date and the skip is still there! I am on the 4th occasion of them offering an 'apology' and a new collection date, none of which they have kept to. When I have telephoned, a bored sounding employee acted like I was a nuisance, and the last email they sent said that they have a 'logistical'issue (as if their entire business isn't based around dropping off and picking up skips!)
Kind of serves me right, though, as I should have paid heed to the multiple negative reviews about this company all over the internet before I booked. I might end up decorating the (full!) skip outside my house, as it looks like it will be with me for a long, long time ...

The worst service I have ever…

The worst service I have ever experienced, We have been waiting 6 weeks for the bin to be emptied. We like the other reviews here have been lied too and messed around to levels I have never experienced.
Do not use this company and avoid completely.

Constant missed pick ups

Constant missed pick ups, followed by lies & fobbing off at the complaint stage. This must be the worst company I have ever dealt with. My latest issue was over 3 weeks of non collection on the correct day of our recycling with 1 week not collected at all. When I called to complain I was promised I wouldn't be charged for that missed week. When invoice came through I had & they'd even sent through a collection note from the driver - he had not collected!! When I had to call again the next week for non-collection & tried to raise a complaint I was given the name of a manager to email. His response was basically, it was collected & this isn't my responsibility!!

Missed collections for over 5 weeks and…

Missed collections for over 5 weeks and being promised day after day that it’s being sorted that day and we were watching waste pile up and be ripped apart by animals to then have to dispose of waste ourselves. Blamed it on new drivers and not enough time.... Asked to cancel our contract to be told it was now irrelevant and as they have been taken over. Still would not touch with a barge pole for their remaining services. Awful customer service you just get lied too.

wouldn’t recommend, can’t trust them

Wouldn’t recommend promised a delivery day and then when Chase they tell me they can’t do the day they promised. Very bad planning (ben) no effort made to resolve the issue.

use them a lot in the past had over 50 skips from them last year personally and through my two businesses customer service is horrendous.

Avoid this company at all costs

Avoid this company at all costs. No customer service skills whatsoever.

We had 5 skips from them recently and the service just got worse.

The last skip we had never turned up. When I called to query the order they had no record of it. I had to do some investigating myself to be told there was a system error on the day I placed my order. No apology. The skip was then late. Putting me behind with my builders.

The skip was obviously worn. The door had been welded shut and you could see right through the bottom of it. The driver came to collect the skip and damaged the public path outside and my drive way. He said the skip was overloaded which it wasn’t and couldn’t take the skip as it wa too heavy for the lorry. He didn’t come up work a solution he just drove off. I called the office and spoke to another rude member of staff to be told it couldn’t be collected now till the next day and needed emptying out to make it easier to collect. The next day they never turned up. I called to be told it would now be the next day. Guess what they never turned up. It is now a bank holiday weekend so god knows when they are likely to turn up.

They may be cheap but it’s worth paying extra to have a better experience.

I will be taking my business elsewhere

Dreadful Service

Ordered a skip 2 weeks before, didn't turn up on the day & when I called they said it was the next drop, promised me it would be delivered by 9AM the following day & did not turn up again as driver didn't turn up for work and was put onto another driver, when I called 6 hours later they said the lorry had broken down & would not turn up until tomorrow so did not even bother letting me know. It is just constant excuses. Would definetely not recommend them for anything

AVOID - Constant Issues

Was with them for 2/3 years, no end of issues, failed collections, over charging. eventually cancelled to be told we are in breech of contract, despite it being them in breech given the fact they have failed to collect MULTIPLE times over the last couple of years.

Gone with a proper waste disposal company (Biffa) now who are cheaper and don't let us down.

Customer service is non existent, horrendous company.

Absolute disregard for private…

Absolute disregard for private properties when collecting from local businesses. Block private drives and entry/exit points when no need to, but just more convenient for the driver. Refuse to move resulting in cancelled deliveries to the property. Raised as complaint and the issue persists.

Broken promises, untrustworthy, do not care

Not an ounce of respect for people trying to run businesses. How they can make promises without any intention of keeping them. Completely unacceptable, and I would expect some serious compensation for the way we have been treated.

Sopranos

Absolutely awful, I think they’ve been watching too many episodes of the Sopranos.
When I finally cancelled the contract.
They sent me another final bill after the contract ended saying that  when they went to collect it for the last time, it was full they sent me a photo of -A- bin I didn’t pay
