I've been a member of the Broadstairs facility for the last three years. I have put up with the frothy hot tub, the cold swimming pools, pissy showers, the sauna door not closing, the ageing gym equipment and last of all, the locker that never works in the disabled/family changing room. Ahmed has been picking on my neurodiverse son. For what reason, I do not know. My son reported straight away. He was told to write an email and then they can respond. The manager Niki is supporting her employee and has done nothing to Ahmed or the two individuals who also picked on my son after the this incident. I took my son to the gym after this, as he was frightened of having another encounter with Ahmed. Unfortunately we did encounter Ahmed and the smug smile on his face made me raise my voice to him and ask him why he thought it was okay to say he didn't care about my sons Autism. After a bit of back and forth, we left. Ahmed went and directly made a complaint about us. the legal department, namely a Matthew Brown has said he has looked at all the evidence, such as CCTV footage and other members and staff accounts of the incident. He has decided we were abusive towards Ahmed, and we are barred from every Bannatyne in the country. Matthew Brown refuses to release the CCTV footage on any statements. He was not interested with the previous incidents involving my my son. He was not interested when I ask for help from Stak Life, who offered them guidance on how to deal with the Neurodiverse community. Bannatyne has been very dismissive of us, and I'm truly disgusted that they care so little about their members. Including the three of us and my daughter and her partner means you are losing £420 a month in subscriptions. I heard 300 members left last month, so the rats are leaving this smelly, sinking ship. I sent an email to Duncan Bannatyne as he seems to have taken hold of the reins again. no reply as yet.
If you have neurodiverse friend or family member, don't leave them alone with Ahmed about. He needs to realize that he cant just approach people and tell them you cant be disabled because you have legs. Ahmed and the other two members have shattered my son's world with a few misplaced comments and a smugness that is grating. Shame on you. There is enough hate in the world, lets try spreading some love and honesty instead.
Same again in the review. They don't tell you that they have refused to talk to me.

If you are looking for a gym with broken, neglected equipment, a spa area that is only functional half the time, and consistent issues with hot water and air conditioning, then this is the place for you.
Beyond the failing facilities, the customer service is among the worst I have ever experienced. My concerns are consistently ignored, and the lack of basic maintenance is completely unacceptable for a membership of this price. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.
I would like to say how much I enjoyed my recent visit to Bannatyne in Hitchin (Fairfield). I LOVED my massage with Sarah and it was one of the top 3 I have EVER had. The location def has that extra WOW factor compared to other branches and I felt positively relaxed and at peace when I left that day!! I will be back! Thanks :)

My wife and I have been members at Bannatyne Grove Park for almost a year. My wife was approached aggressively by another member and filed a formal complaint — three weeks later, still no response from the club or customer services.
This wasn’t a one-off. There is a persistent culture of territorial and disrespectful behaviour: equipment reserved with bags, changing cubicles blocked to exclude others. Management are never present in the mornings and ignore emails.
£70 a month to feel unwelcome. We’ve both requested to cancel. Avoid.

Bought 2x 20min facial massages for my wife and her auntie with lunch and Prosecco via wowcher to be used at the Chingford centre. They called up because they were running 2mins late due to traffic. They were told for every minute they were to be late that it would come off their massage! They arrived 2 minutes late, waited to be seen at reception for 10mins, so when they got to their massages it was only 10mins long! The massage was terrible and rushed and the customer service was shocking. The staff were so rude that my wife and auntie didn't even stay to have their lunch. Awful customer service!

When my husband and I signed up we mentioned we like to try for three months only. Earlier on the third month I told them 3 times we do not want to continue, the front line staff three times said there are no sales staff around. Today at the start of the fourth month I noticed the direct debit is still going on, I dashed over to talk to them and they said the direct debit will stop for August only! I think this is very unfair to us! We do not recommend this club as they are inhuman!

Our home gym, Rotherham is so clean, friendly staff and so helpful, simply can't beat it. Also having the ability to use gyms all over the country is very good, so far we have used 5 other gyms whilst away from home.

It has been a few month since I was last at the gym, there have been some well over overdue upgrades with the hardware, at last some investment and give back to the loyal members.
I am not sure who selects the gym area colour scheme, the last one (lime green) was unsettling, this one (greys, dark contrast) is cave like and soporific. if this is supposed to vanish into the background and be invisible someine is obviously over thinking the problem.
If music is piped in it needs to be motivational, with an exercising beat, not the trainers favourite chillout tracks.
Considering how long Bannatynes has been going it still hasnt found its sweet spot, stop thinking and get on and add value to my life.

Chantelle made my experience great. She is patient with me and listens to what I need. My last PT session, I was fed up because health can be hard. and She reassured me that I'm on the right track. When I left my PT session, I felt energised and motivated.

I was a bit sceptical of the new machines and arrangement at first but I've adapted now. My training is very satisfactory.
The staff are pleasant, especially the ladies on reception.

Bannatynes at Rotherham is okay for what I need. Cosmetically most of the areas I visit are well indeed of an upgrade. I feel dirtier coming out than I do getting in! The showers are full of mould, the pool area is in need of a refurbishment but the experience for me fits a purpose. It isn’t a David Lloyd or Virgin experience but it’s just okay. Worksop is exactly the same! However, the staff at both are absolutely lovely.

Having never been a member of any gym I decided to join Bannatyne in Rotherham
I mainly joined for pool use but surprisingly love the Bodypump class especially with Gaynor she is fabulous
For me I would like more bodypump classes made available they are always overbooked ideally some on a Monday and Friday (with Gaynor if possible) !!!
