Non payment of cancellation refund

I kept my late parents house insurance going with them for convenience but am shocked how poor they are. They failed to act on my instructions to change a an empty property policy to a landlords policy and as such I never received their promised £181.00 refund . The situation was them compounded as it was renewal was 7 days before the completion of the sale of the property . This resulted in a premium of over £500 which I was persuaded to pay on the basis most of it would refunded when I cancelled. I am now owed £461.00 having cancelled but can not get any money out of them . They initially promised payment within a few days which turned into two weeks, then a month and now two months ! I am now going to take matters up with the ombudsman.

Great service!

Geoff Hall, the Managing Director, took the time and effort to look into an issue that required going back over several years. The issue was resolved to my delight, but more importantly, these kinds of matters are usually a battle—often just to be heard. This, however, was handled with care and professionalism. Truly appreciated.

Thank you Bradley.

Having inherited 8 tenanted properties suddenly over 2 years ago and all that that involved I also inherited the insurance already in place through Berkeley Alexander.
I can honestly say that every single time apart from on 2 occasions when I’ve contacted them over that time I’ve been treated with compassion and efficiency from Bradley.
Today I rang for the last time to advise that the last property had sold and so I no longer needed the insurance.
I didn’t get to speak to Bradley as he was off so I wanted to say thank you to him for all his help in maintaining the right cover for these properties whilst I was acting landlord with his warm and friendly manner
that put me at ease.

Completely avoid

Do not use them.
Referred an issue to a debt collection agency then law firm. Watch the T&Cs in your contract very closely.

No problems for me - nothing but helpful.

I was recommended BA by my mortgage advisor because I had a tricky problem with my house insurance. The staff at BA were nothing but helpful and pulled out all the stops. Price was pretty darn good too.

Nothing bad to say other than the cost of spreading the payments by direct debit was a bit steep so I paid upfront.

Don't use them

Don't use them - refereed a disputed payment to a debt collector before issue could be resolved.
