Their cleaning and re-wax have caused the jacket to shrink. My jacket was winter size M and after the cleaning and re-wax it shrink to close to size S. Thus, I can’t use it as winter jacket anymor... See more

Langdale fleece gilet not worth the…
Langdale fleece gilet not worth the money.
I bought the Barbour Langdale Fleece earlier in the year in my local Barbour stockist , biggest mistake ever.
After wearing a few times the fleece started pilling and looked as if it was years old. The material is very thin and has stretched.
The quality of Barbour over the last years has gone downhill big time. Before it was of a hardwearing outdoor quality now it is just catering to the fashion brand name industry. I can get a similar style gilet but more hardwearing in my local equestrian shop for half the price.
It will be the last time I purchase anything ftom Barbour
Barbour Just what it says on the tin 👍
Fabulous product, great price, fit and performance, from a quality product.
OUTSTANDING !
OUTSTANDING !
I bought my beloved barbour coat last year. Amazing I never got wet, warm all winter ! Worth the money. I sent it away for rewaxing this year. Naturally I was worried it would be lost or not get updates. I was wrong.
Sent by royal mail, update that barbour had received my order( relief) update it was been turned around in 10 days ( relief) and then delivered via a reliable courier service to a local collection point. Delivered in a beautiful Wax for life bag which I can return my coat in next year.
So impressed!
THANK YOU !
Not a patch on the old Barbour quality
Before you buy a Barbour jacket I suggest you look at photographs of what mine looks like after only three years of winter walks with my dog. Falling to bits. My 35 year old Barbour jacket is still in perfect condition. Are these new jackets made in China now? Barbour used to be a sign of quality - not any more.
Wellies split after 18 months
Wellies split after 18 months. Contacted Barbour, only 1 year warranty, offered 10% on a new pair. £60.00 for a pair of rubber boots that last a year and a half?? I will be going elsewhere. Have been a fan of Barbour for years, this has tainted my loyalty to them.
Return or Repair
Bought a satchel online at xmas, loved it. Unfortunately it came away at the stitching underneath. I contacted Alisha in customer services. I followed the really easy steps supported by Alisha and had a replacement within a week, delivered to my door. Can't get better service, so impressed but wouldn't expect anything else from my favourite brand. Well done for getting it on point. Thank you Louise Fairley
Ordered Defence waxed jacket
Ordered Defence waxed jacket. Came missing a snap and looked used. Sent back and complained. Was told I could have 10% off a full price item. The Defence jacket was on sale. So, % is useless. Not impressed and very disappointed in the 'quality', expected a lot better for the price.
Kept fully up to date with my order
Kept fully up to date with my order. Fast delivery. Quality fantastic. True to size.
Impeccable CS
I have recently contacted Barbour regarding a damaged part on my Trench coat, and want to thank Lynne in the customer care department for making everything possible to support my request and supply a replacement. The communication was swift and kind and I am so happy and grateful with this service. Another reason why I will stay loyal to this brand.
Great job done !!
Dear Alisha,
Today I have opened the Barbour bag which contained the two jackets.
What a pleasant surprise !
The jackets have returned sound and safely to the Netherlands.
I want to congratulate you and your team with this excellent performance. You kept me informed every step of the way . And the jackets smell en look like new. Although the weather doesn’t require such coats I am hanging them in my bedroom wardrobe because they look and smell so wonderful.
Great job done !!
Thank you very very much.
It is highly appreciated.
My best and warm regards,
Yours truly,

I bought the wellies in green and they looks very smart however only after 2-3 uses the Barbour logo peeled off.
Another fault is that the bottom of the boot wear down very quickly and the metal buckle rusted quickly.
This could just be a personal problem but I get really bad blisters from these boots where they rub the back off my heel.
Other than this they look very smart and are nice boots
Visited their outlet in Clarks Village
Visited their outlet in Clarks Village, staff seemed happier having a chat than helping customers. Shame
‘SHOWERPROOF’ JACKET WOULD MAKE AN EXCELLENT SWIMSUIT
I paid £135.00 for boots and £159.00 for a ‘showerproof’ jacket that was described online as a ‘wet-weather essential’ and ‘provides additional protection from the summer downpour’.
First sign of rain I wore it for less than a minute and it soaked right through.
I returned the jacket for a refund and was told that it was only meant for ‘light rain’. So why is it called Showerproof? And a ‘Downpour’ is described in the dictionary as ‘a heavy fall of rain’. It was unfit for purpose and not as described. Moreover, to charge £159.00 for it is a disgrace. I have more efficient jackets from the supermarkets that cost less than £30.00.
Then in store I was told that I had to provide another form of ID with my signature because ‘it’s the law.’ I am middle-aged and this is the first time in my life I’ve been told I had to provide proof of signature. I also can’t find any evidence online to show this is a legal requirement. I had the receipt which should be enough proof that I paid for the item. The staff made me feel like a thief.
I won’t be returning - unless the boots fall apart.
Barbour...unquestionably the worst rain-proof jacket manufacturer
I purchased a Barbour Classic Beaufort Jacket when I retired from farming in 2022. Within six months it was leaking badly in even moderate rain. I took this up with Barbour and, eventually, they sent me a replacement once I had despatched the original back to them. The replacement however leaks too, but even more significantly, and yesterday / today I have returned from walking my dog in the rain completely soaked on the inside! As if I'd stepped out of the shower....Absolutely the worst coat(s) I have ever owned and the replacement is now destined for the bin as cannot live with an utterly useless jacket. Barbour claims that 'The Jacket is suitable for wear throughout the year' but should have added 'except when it's raining'! At nearly £300 each they have clearly decided on short-term profit rather than to protect what was, once, an enviable brand position. Avoid Barbour at all costs if it's raining - you'd be better protected wearing a wool sweater! Unless of course you've got spare cash to throw away and don't mind getting soaked.
Great quality, But bad sizing
Great quality, superb service, BUT!! the sizing is so far out of touch, I am a 44inch chest so ordered an XL jacket, it arrived on time, could not get it to zip up, way too tight, so sent it back and ordered a XXL that arrived, great service, this too was too tight, so I asked for a refund, this took just over 2 weeks to organize the returns and getting the replacements, it turns out I need a XXXL there is no way I am that big, shame because I really like Barbour, but, from now on I will choose another brand, Barbour is so out of touch with sizing, such a shame.
Great Customer Service
Bought a product and the quality wasn’t up to standard. However the customer service was swift and helpful at resolving the problem. Chloe in particular was very helpful.
Water came through the sleeves of the jacket
In January I bought a Barbour Laxdale from a retailer in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, it was a big disappointment because the water came through the sleeves of the jacket.
Really low quality.
I have other Barbour: Beadale and C.P. Company products and the quality is totally different.
The Barbour Laxdale was perfect as far as the design is concerned. Really, perfect for the weather in Amsterdam. Unfortunately, after only 5 uses I found that the sleeves didn't keep the water out.
I sent it back to the retailer who added an additional layer of wax applied, but the product was slightly damaged and I returned the Barbour to the store. Still waiting for my money back from the retailer.
It's a real shame.
Lowering the quality of a product and compromising its performance is really not a sustainable approach. These are jackets that cost and should last. Lowering the quality of the cotton or inner lining or other materials is not the right choice.
Excellent customer service
Lynne in the customer service team couldn’t have been more helpful. Quick response and had no issue sorting out my problem. True example of how all customer service teams should be.
Excellent service albeit with a hiccup!
I sent back my - UK made - black Beaufort jacket for a rewax and some patches (2 inside and 2 external). We had an issue with them forgetting to do the 2 inside patches and the "rewax" really didn't get the black colour looking too good when it was returned. However, Chloe and her team sprung into action and sent a prepaid sticker and organised for the missing patches (cost for those refunded) to be inserted and rewaxed it really well. Excellent service.
