Shout-out to Ben in customer service

Shout-out to Ben in customer service. Ordered my first set of pickups. Wasn't sure what I needed and ordered to many electronics. Ben actually took the time to call me and say I ordered unnecessary money things. That's 10/10 customer service

1) Took twice the time quoted 2) Shoddy quality: cover soldered on backwards and was told to send it back 3) Partial refund offer later retracted by 'Manager'

I shopped around for a vintage pickup rewire, lots of places had great prices in London but quoted long timeframes for the job. Bare Knuckle quoted me twice the nearest quote but told me it'd only take a few days and I'd have it back in a week - what a lie. I had to repeatedly chase to find out what was going on, no proactive communication, just an expectation I'd wait.

Weeks later I get the pickup back only to find that the cover was soldered on backwards so it couldn't be fitted to the guitar. I call the shop and their only solution is for me to pay to send it back to them to repair it. Barely an apology for the inconvenience and the audacity to offer to 'refund the shipping' due to having to send it back.

I asked for partial compensation for the delay and error and was left a voicemail telling me they would. a few hours later, before I could call back, I get an email from Sales advising me the 'Manager' stepped in to state 'no refund would be offered'. Apparently I should be grateful they screwed up the work.

Also, I told them the pickup read 11.3K before the repair, they shipped it back reading 'just under 11k'. Not exactly the craftsmanship their website projects.

I'll find someone honest and trustworthy to fix his error and take my future business elsewhere.
