Had my new sofa, chair and footstool delivered today from Barker and Stonehouse. Phone call prior to delivery with an exact ETA. Delivery team Kevin and Theo were friendly, polite and unwrapped all our new furniture. Good team would definitely recommend 👌

Amazing sofas! Excellent quality. Delivery service was spot on, both fellas were so friendly and efficient. After sales service was also brilliant when I emailed them regarding delivery - quick to get back to me and very friendly.

Had a table delivered by Ste Windsor and Chris Dunnett. Received a call beforehand to give me notice that the table would be delivered in the next 30 mins. Assembled perfectly and all rubbish taken away. Thanks again guys! Only had the table and chairs a few hours but so far everything looks perfect with them

Lovely lads who came to deliver our Barker and Stonehouse furniture. Super impressed especially since having a few deliveries lately which had very questionable customer service - this was not the case on this ocassion and was a lovely experience!

Jason & Des were both pleasant and helpful. Delivered 2 setters and a rug, unwrapped everything and removed all packaging. This is just what we expect from a company we have used for the past 30 years. Well done guys.

We had a really great experience at the Giltbrook Nottingham store over the Bank Holiday weekend.

We first visited on the Saturday looking for dining chairs and bar stools, and were really impressed by the amount of choice and the quality of the furniture, everything was beautifully made.

A massive thank you to Louise Matthews, the Sales Representative who helped us during both of our visits. From the start, Louise took the time to understand what we liked and disliked, as well as the space we had to work with. She offered us a range of options and, importantly, never once made us feel pressured or like we were experiencing the typical “sales” approach.

We went home after our first visit to have a think, and returned on Bank Holiday Monday specifically seeking out Louise because we knew she would be able to help us again. Once again, the service was fantastic. Louise was patient, personable and genuinely invested in helping us find the right pieces. She really made the whole experience memorable for all the right reasons.

With Louise’s help, we ended up purchasing our dining chairs, bar stools and a dining table, and we’re extremely pleased with our choices and our order.

We will definitely be returning for future purchases following such a positive experience, and would highly recommend Louise to anyone visiting the Giltbrook Nottingham store. A real credit to the team!

When the table arrived, I felt this was a beautiful table, as I have other items from various other shops with the fluting and marble topped. However not even 24 hours later some brown coloured staining started to appear- that definitely wasn’t there the day before and the table was untouched. (Photos to prove this were not ideal as better in the flash to see the difference)
I also noticed than any water droplets on the table (for example if you carry a glass of water near it and a drip runs off it onto the table before you can get it to a coaster) sinks in and stains the marble- I have never had marble react like this before where everything that touches it leaves a mark- it seems to react to it’s environment and now I’m left with a table that is highly impractical despite trying to put everything on mats as I would anyway. After making contact with this company, we had a back and forth with pictures to just be told the same each time ‘that this was the characteristics of marble’. I do understand this to a certain extent but I do not have this issue with any of my other marble products.
This table also has a fissure at the end of the table which ran all the way though about 6 inches. Again told that this was normal (I do understand this stone but this was a concern that it was completely all the way through as a crack) I feel that this poor qualities are excused as characteristics of the stone. Usually despite marble being porous, it is sealed, and although this can not guarantee it to be waterproof, a decent quality stone that has been treated properly doesn’t react so sensitively as this. You can’t even wipe this table with even water.

I have no satisfactory result and I am left with a table basically I can’t go near. It’s very disappointing as I had high hopes and spent over £1000 on this.

Great service during our visit to the Birstall (Leeds) store today. ‘David B’ assisted with the purchase of a beautiful dining table order. He was very knowledgeable about the table, process and gave us all of the information we needed. Along with being really helpful with our delivery dates. This was a pleasurable visit with no issues. We left very happy with our visit.

Steven and Jake were brilliant. Everything was done extremely professionally and they were lovely to us.

Stewart and Steve were lovely and quickly assembled our heavy reclaimed wooden table, and arranged the chairs. They explained how to use the extend feature.

Overall, great service and quick delivery. We were given a deal on the reclaimed bench as the original size we wanted was out of stock.

The service we received from David B at Leeds Barker Stonehouse was excellent. It was a Sunday and quite busy in the store but David was very helpful and friendly and dealt with our queries and purchase swiftly and in a very pleasant professional yet friendly manner. We came away feeling very happy with our purchase and service received.

The service I received from Natasha At the Hull branch was excellent she was a credit to the company and went the extra mile to source the chair I wanted.

As soon as we arrived, Malcolm Royle started chatting to us and we immediately warmed to him. He wasn't like a typical salesperson, he was chatty, friendly, and professional, whilst making our conversation very informal. Malcolm made it incredibly easy to navigate the whole process of selecting our sofa, and all the other parts that go in to it. I'd happily speak to Malcolm again next time we visit the store for our next piece of furniture. I can't wait for our first piece to be delivered. Thanks again Malcolm
