Right from my initial conversation Jenny and Steve took away so much stress. Their advice and guidance has resulted in doing everything the correct side of the law to bring closure to our business problems. I spoke to many companies that with hindsight scared mongered.

My Husband and I were first introduced to Jenny and Phil back in March 2020 just prior to lockdown! It was as inconceivable as lockdown that we would ever require the services of an insolvent specialist!
Due to taking some very bad professional advice back in June 2017 we were taken on a litigation journey that so very nearly split my lovely and amazing little family apart. Basis took all of stress away from day 1, they dealt directly with all of the creditors and HMRC and every piece of correspondence and phone calls were directed to them. Jenny was amazing with her support and help every step of the way. If I could give them 6 Stars I would.

Absolutely amazing advice from Phil and the team. They have steered me through a very messy bankruptcy that involved a mortgaged family home and the fallout of a business failure after 23 years of trading and employing lots of staff.
If you have the threat of bankruptcy and own a home, business or both, or have the HMRC breathing down your neck do not hesitate in contacting the team at Basis.
Well worth the fee, 10 times over!!

BASIS insolvency took £5000 off us to help resolve a debt issue. They wrote plenty of letters, each one more confusing than the previous one. Their advice amounted to "hide from your creditors, we will help you to hide, you don't qualify for an IVA, don't respond to any letters, emails or calls from the creditors". We made one call to a creditor after they used a tracing service to locate us and Phil Stone the principle director of BASIS Insolvency flew off the handle and demanded a further £3,000 to continue with the case. Shambles firm, didn't respond to formal complaint letter so have had to refer my case to the Financial Ombudsman, has no interest in you as a client only wants to get his hands on your money. Worse decision ever to put our trust in this man and his associate. He is someone to be avoided at all costs. I wish there had been a review on this site before we signed up so to help others make an informed decision I am leaving a truthful and honest review.

As an update to this I did get some of my money paid back directly to me (£2,000) once I got the Ombudsman involved even though they tried to apply it to my husband's debt, sadly for them that didn't work as I could evidence I paid this from my own personal funds - so they can stick that in their pipe and smoke it!
