About EPOK snus in Norway and their…

About EPOK snus in Norway and their customer service:

There are 2 major concerns. The first one has to do with the product itself: At regular intervals they have some kind of production malfunction (which is widely recognised and complained about among customers), where many of the pouches are half empty, some times a majority of the pouches in the box. Some times they're also not sealed properly, though this is not a regular occurance, like the half empty pouches. Regardless, this means that you're not actually getting the amount of snus you are paying for. And considering the price of snus, that is ridiculous. I weighed the snus one time I got one of these batches, and it was several grams lower than the 15.8 grams it was supposed to weigh. I also took 4 or 5 regular pouches and compared their collective weight to the weight of the same amount of those half empty ones. I would have weighed just 1, but my kitchen weight doesn't go that low. The regular ones weighed a total of 3 grams, while the half empty ones didn't even register. And I'm not the only one who's made discoveries like this. People are uploading pictures and descriptions of how they've weighed their snus, only to find a substantial amount missing. 2 gram may not sound like much, but we are after all talking about like 15%, that IS a substantial amount. In my case there was also condensation in the box, due to the snus being stored improperly by the supermarked in the summer heat, so I know that the reason for the lower weight was NOT that the snus was dry.

On to the second concern:
Naturally I wanted to adresse this issue with customer service, like I imagine lots of other people also have done, so I sent them an email regarding my concerns. Many weeks have gone by, and I've heard nothing. Meanwhile we have cycled into another one of these half empty pouch-periods. No matter where you buy your EPOK snus, you get these sad, anemic looking snus pouches, along with a seething angry feeling of being ripped off by Big Tobacco because of their indifference to an obvious production problem. Actually, I think it suits them just fine. They obvious save a lot of nicotine by stiffing us several grams of product per box for a couple of weeks, every other month or so. And unless everyone stop buying EPOK or starts a petition that goes viral, I doubt anything is going to change. Me, I just want the actual snus that I've paid for. And so far, British American Tobacco ows me a substantial amount of snus pouches that effectively have been missing from the boxes that I've bought. A quick search online will prove that I'm not alone.
