BBA ACCREDITATION HAS BEEN AND CONTINUES TO BE SUSPENDED BY UKAS!!!

We employed the BBA as our Certified Body last year to undertake our audit for UKCA.

The entire experience was and continues to be a nightmare!

The auditor, Tony Mayne arrived on site last year, proceeded with an audit without our presence, and fabricated issues as he claimed the following 'I have never seen such a perfect FPC', but then he stated ‘On initial audit, it looks bad that I do not find any non-conformances' which we found abhorrent.

We had to chase for certification due to the lapse in weeks, finally we received a certificate from Karen Mapplesden but it was for another business and not meant for us, extremely unprofessional.

We were provided with a draft certification for our business audit which was sent by Denise Weinstein, and we checked the document against the auditors copy which had more than 15 errors which we brought to her attention. We were then informed by Karen Mapplesden that the auditor was working to an 'out of date certification template', which left us feeling disgusted.

We raised a complaint and this was referred to John Albon who is Karen Mapplesden's Manager, and not the appropriate person to handle the complaint. Numerous emails for explanations of audit process were requested and it was referred to John Albon but he refused to provide any assistance, he was rude and dismissive, furthermore, he closed the complaint without any assistance or resolve.

Another complaint was raised with the BBA regarding John Albon's unprofessional but was never addressed appropriately instead his behaviour was condoned.

We have since had another audit and the same auditor, Tony Mayne was allocated, once again he breached audit protocols and adopted his continued dishonest behaviour and once again, fabricated issues with our audit. We been audited since 2014 and never experienced any issues with our audit, but Tony Mayne miraculously finds issues, we believe that he has incentives by the BBA which drives his dishonesty.

Tony Mayne has spend lengthly hours on the phone and always spoke inappropriately about his personal life, his wife and finances etc, he is truly a lonely and unethical individual, this is also could be a reason for his dishonest conduct whilst undertaking his job role.

After our audit we were informed by the BBA via email that the business has been suspended by UKAS prior to our audit, therefore, they are unable to issue certification.

We were deceived regarding the status of the BBA certification process, furthermore, we had engaged in a conversation with the auditor, Tony Mayne on the day of the BBA suspension which he failed to disclose during the conversation of the current status of his employers, the BBA, and he also failed to inform of the status during our audit.

Another complaint has been raised regarding the status of their suspension and the continued unprofessional conduct of their Auditor, Tony Mayne and his fabricated and unfounded allegations regarding our audit. The complaint has been sent to Katy Roberts who assured us it has been passed to Hardy Giesler, the CEO of the BBA for information.

The catalogue of unprofessional behaviour and conduct by numerous employees of the BBA has always been condoned and never addressed, and there blatant disregard of the treatment towards theirs customers has finally caught up with them, hence the suspension of their certification by UKAS.

It is incomprehensible how individuals continue to operate and behave in such a horrific, disrespectful and unprofessional manner. The BBA literally ignore any communications from their clients and any issues that are raised, despite their alleged complaints procedure which we believe has never been applied. These people are employees of the BBA and there is utterly no due care and attention how they present themselves or how the damage they leave in their wake, they are evidently under a deluded belief that they are profession and flawless but unfortunately for them, their unprofessionalism has finally caught up with them!!!!
