Worth the money

I have recently renewed my annual subscription for BBC Maestro after completing several courses last year and find myself watching most days. For budding writers I would recommend the Lee Child, Alan Moore and Jojo Moyes courses.

You get access to course notes and hours of detailed insights from experts, that you can't find anywhere else. I'm hoping to follow more of the cookery and art courses this year.

Loads of value from the subscription

I bought a course first then received a special offer to get the subscription. The writing course was really good, much better than other courses I had done as it was so motivating as well as being practical. Since then I’ve done courses on bread making, dog training, poetry and I’m looking forward to the new ones they’ve added like breathwork, eating well and time management.
The teachers are all really good. I didn’t recognise them all but when you do the course you realise they definitely have great expertise.

Great content across a brilliant range of subjects.

Brilliant courses that are entertaining and informative. In the past few months they've been churning out so much new content. Topics I didn't know I wanted to learn about too! I'm finding myself dipping into public speaking, graphic design and even wine! Would recommend for sure.

Amazing choice of courses. Really high quality.

Absolutely fantastic product with an incredible range of courses. I've had a subscription for a year now and I'm definitely doing at least one other year!! Besides mainly going for Lee Child's writing course, I've done loads of the other writing courses (Harlan Coben, Ken Follett, etc) and as a homecook I've loved all the many cooking courses, and even learned a bit about acting with the legend Brian Cox and public speaking with the genius Richard Greene. Strong recommend!!!

Very misleading title

I purchased an Introduction to Photography for a relative. The title of the product is very misleading, as it only covers portrait photography. The title ought to say an Introduction to Portrait Photography.

Already paid but can't access the content

I already paid for a course but I can't access my account and support is doing nothing about it.
I could watch a few lessons until last week. But a few days ago, when I tried to access, I got a message saying that the account didn't exist. I tried password reset, but it didn't help. I created a ticket for support, for which I needed the same account, and the ticket was created in Zendesk, but nothing has happened. I can see I'm not the first one with this problem. Very disappointed.

I am being blocked from accessing a…

I am being blocked from accessing a course for which I signed up and paid Saturday, 25th November. It is the BBC Maestro Poetry Course by Carol Ann Duffy. I then received a receipt for my payment which was also showing up as deducted from my bank account. Since then I keep being blocked from accessing the course. Every time I try to log in using the email address and password with which I signed up I get told it is incorrect. I was prompted to change my password then received a message that my 'Course Token' and email address are not being recognised and claiming that I have paid nothing. They used my email address to send me my payment receipt!

I have emailed their support team repeatedly with a copy of my receipt and a screenshot of the 'invalid token'. In response 'support' just keep sending me a generic ticket saying that they have received my message. They have not addressed my problem in any way! I still cannot access the course and I have been trying for 3 days. To add insult to injuryBBC Maestro is also sending me a torrent of emails inviting me to sign up for one of their courses!

In the past I have highly rated the BBC and regarded them as being a professional and reliable organisation. AI and Bots, Automated Replies etc. are probably the cause of my problem but are, in my estimation, the best way to cause immense frustration and annoyance to customers with problems. A TELEPHONE LINE WITH REAL PEOPLE ON THE END WHO THINK, REACT AND PROBLEM-SOLVE IS NEEDED!!!
