After being completely let down by another rental company at the Cluj-Napoca, Romania airport (last-minute changes, unclear terms, and a totally different situation than advertised), I urgently needed a solution.

That’s when I found @BDV BestAuto — and honestly, it felt like a rescue.

The booking process was unbelievably fast and simple. Within 3 minutes, everything was confirmed. What you see on their website is exactly what you get — fully transparent, no surprises, and extremely user-friendly.

But what impressed me the most was their speed and professionalism. I had just stepped outside the airport with no plan, and within 45 minutes, the car was already delivered — as if I had booked it days in advance.

The information they provide on their website is VAGUE
make sure you read the Ts&Cs properly, before booking.

1. It's advertised as being at the airport but it's actually a 5min drive after waiting for everyone else to get to the shuttle bus (15min).
2. They hit you with the "mileage limit" of 200km/day (avg) when signing the contract
3. They charge you for cleaning the car after, even if you have a full insurance (purchased from their company) OR leave them a positive review before returning the car (which wasn't mentioned to us at the start)
4. They advertise the prices in EUR but then charge you the equivalent in RON even if their contract says you can choose the currency you want to pay in
5. The SCDW you get from them isn't really covering for too much

All-in-all, it would be nice if they were a bit more transparent with this type of info.
Service was great from the moment Ionut met us at the airport, on arrival, until being dropped off back at the airport by Ovidiu.

Very good. They offer a wide range of cars, all as good as new and very clean at pick up. The prices are good and the service exceptional. When arriving at the airport the wait for you with their bus to pick you up and they call you to double check the date and time for return. Just a very good company.

Best company for renting a car!

This company lies, I am surprised people give them such good reviews knowing that they have done this to a few other people that rented from them.
Online they had available a 2024 Mercedes so we rented that. Next day I received an email stating that the car was not available and they had another newer 2021 white BMW and they submitted the picture but it was a little more expensive than the original Mercedes booking. Ok whats another few hundred dollars, we needed a car so we got that one. When we arrived we were given a 2019 black BMW, nothing that we even booked and for the same price at that. When you are there you are obviously in need of a car so that’s where they get you, you either take it or they give you something more expensive. Another issue they don’t tell you even if you purchase the insurance the insurance does not cover the tires and let me tell you the tires on this car were really bad so we took pictures as well to be sure, but I’m surprised they didn’t say anything about the tires when we returned the car I was expecting them to come up with something in order to get new tires on that car. Another thing they don’t tell you which other people told us otherwise we would have not known, when returning the car you need to fill the tank of gas and you need to give them the receipt, good thing I had the receipt I guess. They also tell you they will clean the car for free just to give them a good review 🤣. Just too many issues with this company I would stay away from them.

Since the first contact a very nice experience. Very friendly and helpful people, rented a Dacia Duster for 4 days which was clean and really okay! The pickup and return went smooth and felt thrust worthy. I would definitely recommend BDV Bestauto, and for sure my next rental will at this company.

Communication was seamless throughout. We were picked up promptly at the airport and taken to their nearby location, which was super convenient. The return process was just as easy, with a quick and comfortable shuttle ride back to the airport.

The car itself was spotless, brand new, and ran perfectly—no issues whatsoever. It made our trip even more enjoyable knowing we had a reliable vehicle.

Pleasant and professional service from the first contact. Process was easy and the support always on hand as we traveled from Ireland for holidays . We dealt with three different staff members from the collection until drop off, no question unanswered and always on point with every concern we had. To top the quality service are the quality vehicles available. We rented a Mercedes Vito to suit the family, which was the perfect choice for the trip, comfortable and spacious. Both my self and my fiance were debating what would we choose if we’re traveling on our own from the lineup in the yard😃😃. Competitive prices, 5 star service, spoiled for choice…. We will be back.
