What a wonderful surprise…

If you ever take the walk between Howtown & Glenridding on the banks of the Ulswater lake, then look out for the Lowther Barn Tea Room.
About a third of the way along the track from Howtown.
What a surprise it was, my son and I passed by last Sunday on a very hot and sunny day.
Tea, coffee's and cake available but our eye wandered straight to the ice creams, locally made and a great selection of flavours a most welcome distraction from the walk.
Welcoming family business, you must try it if you're in the area.
