Poor communication order delayed not advised when I called the store they said I could always just cancel the order .. not quite sure if this is in the interest of the customer or the company .. !
Ordered the bed in St Albans store on the Sunday it was closing.
It was delivered on Tuesday. They promised me that the bed would be completely covered as we had to store it. The bed arrived only the mattress was covered but open at one side. The rest of the bed was just left open. The guys who delivered cost us £80 cash and the bed was man handled into the house two of the feet were broken and there was a rip in the underside of the divan base. Not Happy!!
The help received in the shop was excellent. Unfortunately the shop in St. Albans is closing and the delivery date is approx 8 weeks away so I hope that goes as smoothly.
We entered the shop through the door to the car park and were met by a very efficient young woman who sorted us out in double quick time.
Great service indeed.
The mattresses arrive on 9th October.

We were trying beds for a while and at no point did we feel rushed. We ordered in store (came back the following day) and it was very straightforward with everything explained. It was also good to actually see the swatches of fabric as we felt confident in our selection (we had looked at the colours online and it’s definitely better to see in person if you can).

Bought one of the more expensive mattresses (iGel for around £1000) plus bed base & headboard in 2020 with I think 5 year warranty and it was fine for about a year and a half. Then we noticed one side felt like it "sinks" more than the other. We've been rotating the mattress every now and then but not religiously as it's quite big and heavy. Then in 2022 we realised both sides have the "sinking" feeling and when you're lying down for a longer period, you feel like you're in a ditch. So I contacted the customer services and they asked me to take some photos of the mattress without anything. Which I did. Obviously they were looking to see if there's any visible "dipping" on the surface of the mattress. Which of course there wasn't, as the top of the mattress has a fairly thick layer of memory foam and whatever that "gel" is. So they said I can get an "independent" company to come and test the mattress and they will honour whatever decision they make, and even suggested what company to contact (HomeServe). So I got HomeServe out, probably a mistake since they were suggested by Bensons and I'm sure it's not in Bensons interest to get bad mattress reviews. The guy came and lied down on the bed, did his little test with a string which shows there's no dip (again, how would there be a dip when it's memory foam on top) and said he thinks it's OK. So I paid for HomeServe and basically lost that money as well. Here we are now a year later, still no dip showing, but clearly the pocket springs underneath are weakened and our bums sink down which affects the posture while sleeping and we both wake up with very bad lower back pain. We are in our 30s and aren't overweight. So that 5 year warranty is just a sham clearly. The dip won't show on all types of mattresses and ours is clearly not comfortable anymore but we can't claim on the warranty. Also, that "gel" that they advertise that it cools and whatnot is a pure gimmick as I was still super hot from the memory foam layer just like any other memory foam. All in all, I would definitely avoid this company! We ordered a SIMBA now who offer a 200 day test period and hoping to get better results!

Helpful staff and good selection of beds. I found the right bed at the right price with ease.
I wanted to use a loyalty card for discount but despite raising the request twice the manager refused to negotiate. He wasn't as friendly, or helpful as the lady - she told me about the different types of mattresses and was willing to talk to me about each in turn.
Went in twice for the purchase. First to choose and second to complete. From the moment I stepped in, it was such warm welcome from the staff, makes one feel happy for coming in. She was helpful with 'useful information' to aid my decision, especially on matresses. All the products looked very good quality. On second visit (to purchase), she was quick to remember and it all took a few minutes to complete the purchase and be on my way out.
I'm still awaiting delivery of the bed, mattress etc, I'm really pleased with the look and feel of the products, staff, ambience in the showroom and everything. I'll come back to review the items after delivery and when I start using them.

Ordered and paid two months ago
The item ordered and paid for well in advance on 9th Oct 2022 and scheduled for delivery on 19th.
1. First told on 16th Dec that Bed frame suddenly got no stock. How come an order made more than two months ago can suddenly out of stock? Besides, on the date of delivery (17/12 as reschedued by distribution center), the delivery just did not show up after several hours of waiting
2. On 19th Dec 2022, the mattress suddenly got no stock. Are you kidding me? After waiting another whole day but just the headboard of the bed delivered with no mattress and bed frame.
3. The shop is telling that they didn’t know when the mattress and the frame can be delivered.
4. I cannot believe that I ordered for more than two months ago and end up sleeping on the floor with no schedule when the mattress will come. Then why I spent more than 15k on the mattress for sleeping on the floor? We were promised delivery by Christmas and now my family have nowhere to sleep. Thanks Bensons, we will NEVER use you again and will tell all and sundry about our experience.
