I ordered a leather backpack to the US and it was delivered (late) via DHL Express last night. The box that it came in was partially opened, wet and soggy, and damaged. The backpack inside was wet, creased, and bent out of shape as there was no tissue paper stuffed inside.

Package arrive late, damaged, partially opened, and wet. I don’t think I’ve actually had such a terrible experience ordering anything online. Currently waiting on how they will resolve this issue.

Used this store to purchase my first designer leather jacket as they had the most reasonable pricing, even after calculating the customs fee. They also use DHL, which is the courier I worry the least about with international packages. The package arrived right on time with zero issues.

Adding this extra snippet for anyone else who's reading these Trustpilot reviews and is nervous to purchase: I'm reading here that returns can be tricky, but that's because customs and shipping would have to be paid and managed by the buyer both ways. Because I carefully looked at the size guide for the item I wanted to order across multiple stores who stocked the item, I did not need to make a return. If you really want to risk having to return a package, perhaps shop at Selfridges or Harrods so you can do so for free. As long as the pricing is this competitive, I'll definitely be shopping at Bernardelli online again.

How hard is it to offer clients free returns?

The description of the Santoni shoes didn’t match on your website.
I’m a size 7 but these styles are not true to size, this should have been listed on the website.
I covered the customs duty/import fees and now I’m having to also cover the return fees.
You could have at least provided me with a free returns label, sometimes it nice to meet your clients half way, I’m never shopping with you again.

Impossible to return if an item does not fit. Site link + email runaround. No way to ship back international without proper codes. Waste of time AND money.
