Fantastic service from Best at Hire Canning Town!
Don’t believe everything you read online.
The team were so helpful and friendly. Real customer service at its best. I hired the Karcher RM760 and I’m blown away by how well it’s working. I’ve only done a small section of our cream lounge so far and the difference is already incredible. Super happy overall. I highly recommend Best At Hire.

Oh my god . Dreadful . They take the hire order and full payment knowing they don't have the equipment to hire out then take 3/5 days to refund when you have no choice but to cancel . Scam buisness. Even a member of staff said" the whole system fails, it needs upgrading " .lol

I hired an upholstery cleaning machine and scheduled delivery for an afternoon delivery. On the day, they delivered it in the morning when I wasn’t home, couldn’t get hold of me on the phone so took the item back. They didn’t try to contact me again until I called them to query its whereabouts. They offered no apology, made out it was my fault, wouldn’t arrange a red livery and cancelled my order. Won’t be using them again. Terrible service and customer service was unhelpful and frankly rude.

Would not really recommend. Used them to hire a carpet cleaner.

Firstly, when checking out online we checked the option to include carpet shampoo for seven odd pounds. It shows you a picture of a big 500ml bottle of shampoo. What it actually came with was 7 disolvable tablets, 4 of which were crushed to pieces. The machine gets through water quickly so these were barely enough for the entire house.

Secondly, the website and invoice specified the hire period would be 24 hours. Turned out to be 48 hours i.e. we didn't know when the thing would be picked up and rushed to clean needlessly.

Also did not see anywhere on the site or at checkout that I would need to provide both ID and proof of address when they deliver it. Why do you need proof of address!? I'm standing in the building!!!

booked a Friday AM delivery, turned up in the afternoon. Was told we would get a phone call when 15 mins away, didn't happen.

booked a Friday AM collection. didn't turn up. rang at 4.30pm and was told they wouldn't collect until Monday (no phone call from them to advise that they would not be collecting) which was not convenient for us as wouldn't be home. so arrranged for the Tuesday. They turned up on Monday to collect.

The Stair decorating tower was missing a safelty clip on one corner and this wasn't advised by the company beforehand or the driver when delivered and one of the horizontal bars was squashed. It didn't affect us using but could affect others.

Ordered a stump grinder on-line to be picked up from Attercliffe Sheffield.Contacted the company the day before to make sure it was there for collection.I was told it's there and ready.I turned the following day to be told it's not here.The manager there said It was delivered to St Mary's depot over a mile away.I was not notified it had to be picked up from a different location.
arrived at St Mary;s .I was then to be told it had mechanical fault .

We arranged to hire some stairwell scaffolding from BestAtHire, and were unfortunately left disappointed by the customer service. You choose a 4 hour time slot to start your hire. Our scaffolding arrived a little late but not too bad, so we didn't say anything. Then it turned out that they had sent a different scaffolding model than advertised on the website - we specifically went with them as it said the platform height could be adjusted in 25cm increments, but that wasn't true of the model we got (which was a different brand). The only instructions provided were minimal, so I googled and printed some off. Again we just got on with it and didn't complain. However when it came to the end of hire period, the driver didn't turn up in the agreed 4 hour period to collect. I phoned the office to enquire the following morning and was told that they don't stick to the pre-arranged end of hire time and will turn up at some point in the 3 days afterwards. They claimed this is in their terms and conditions, but it is not (they probably just don't expect people to read them). They basically expect people to sit around at home all the time waiting for someone to turn up. Now as a busy customer juggling work and a DIY project that really doesn't work, and I had paid for a collection service that they were refusing to stick to. The customer service attitude was poor - all about what would work for them and no consideration for the customer, and no proactive contact to confirm delivery or collection times. I appreciate that sometimes the driver may need to amend a collection time, but at least contact the customer and discuss the options rather than just assuming you can turn up whenever you feel like it. I would strongly suggest ordering from another company who actually cares about their customers.

STAY AWAY!!! By far the worst hire company around, they will take your hire order and your money only to waste your time and to call you back saying they don’t have it in stock near you but they do have it in a different branch but they won’t deliver to your selected one because they just don’t care, and then they cancel your order just like that and expect that you will be happy with a refund, well thank you for my money back and wasted time!
