I’ve rejoined Better after I used to use the Stratford Olympic Park Aquatic Centre gym but it got taken over by another gym group then had to move momentarily to west London for a few months. I’m back east now so have the opportunity to join the local gym to me which is operated by Better and they’ve always been completely helpful when it’s come to a concessionary membership and customer service is spot on!

Great service with great support. Roxy was very patient and took time to explain fully.

Very frustrating experience with Better for the past few months at Copper Box Arena. They let you book badminton courts then cancel them last minute due to "events". Surely these events don't just appear out of the blue? Surely you know in advance that these events happen and you shouldn't let people book those slots?
Very disappointing, better go somewhere else.

Been here a few times . New kit in the gym now but some is still broken but I know better gym normally get it maintained quite quick . Had a good experience today on all the new gear felt like I had a decent workout this will definitely be my new local gym. Proper to Euigine one of the staff there for getting me a bag for my wet towel !!

Dismissive customer service when signing up. Gym is left in disrepair with no maintenance of equipment at all. Barely any useful equipment in the gym. Facilities dirty, aged and apparently never cleaned. Place never has any sanitary wipes in the containers and is always in a mess. It is like the owners and staff do not care one bit. You would expect far ‘better’ for the price. Disappointingly the worst gym I’ve been to in a long time.

Very diffucult to book induction. I tried online, via your customer services, and at the Copper Box.

I couldn't book online, I called CS, who were very helpful, and called the Copper Box 4 times to contact me, and the phone wasn't answered.

I went to the reception, and couldn't book because they didn't know the rota of any the instructors, so couldn't book it, I had to leave my name and number, they called back two days later.

I have booked and paid for a junior membership, and was under the impression that all Junior sessions were always supervised by an qualified instructor, but after speaking to Isabelle, who is a CSA and fitness instructor, she told me this does not happen, as they don't have enough staff, and that they "check or pop in every 10 -15 minutes". This does not really offer enough provision for managing their H&S or their safety. If you have set hours for them to access the Gym, surely you should have those hours covered with someone supervising their use of the gym, and monitoring their safety.

My son is 12, if you are happy for them to attend without an adult, they should be supervised to ensure that safeguarding is managed.
