Gym Equipment for Disabled
It would nice if Better Gyms had equivalent equipment as the Aspire Leisure Centre, Wood Lane, HA7 4AP for disabled users. I have had sessions at Aspire Leisure Centre gym and it is so much easier to use the equipment. Lea Valley Leisure Centre gym where I go the equipment is the same but slightly different.

Downstairs gym could do with painting
Downstairs gym could do with painting, some of the older weight discs are quite grubby, the music in the gym sometimes doesn't work, and - you shouldn't need me to tell you this - almost none of the lockers are operational.

We're currently reviewing the condition of the downstairs gym and will look into repainting and deep cleaning the equipment, including the older weight discs. We’re also aware of the ongoing locker issues and are actively working on a solution to get them fully operational as soon as possible. As for the music system, we'll be checking it more regularly to ensure it's consistently working. Your input is incredibly helpful, and we’re committed to improving your experience.

The staff are nice and friendly
The staff are nice and friendly. The gym is very quiet here, which is a good thing really. Not like other gyms where there’s not enough equipment for the users.
But, the gym just looks like it’s in need of a good clean. Some of the equipment is quite dusty - the ones I’ve used, anyway. The floor is need of a good vacuum and there are cobwebs with those long-legged spiders in the corners. The toilets do not smell very nice, either. I have been here 3 times now and it’s been the same each time.
Why am I still going there? Because it’s the closest one and it’s quiet. Although, that is subject to change.

4. Pop music was playing.... more like a leisure centre than an athletics centre.
5. Not sure why I bought a membership as you can walk in for free.

Track was unavailable. Money taken and not refunded.
I booked and paid £10 in advance for an athletics session on the better app a few days ahead of my session. Got an email confirmation of my outdoor/indoor athletics booking so I was confident. When I arrived to train at the centre, a competition was taking place on the outdoor track so it was fully off limits. I offered to do some indoor throwing training instead but was informed by the centre staff that the indoor throwing area was being used as the ‘call up’ room for the athletes, which indeed it was. The staff thus said I could not train that day. Weeks ago I emailed Lee Valley/Better email addresses and I was told 10 days ago that ‘Your complaint has been forwarded to the centre manager who will hopefully get back to you soon.’ I have heard nothing since. Lack of communication before the session to tell me the facilities would be mostly off limits and lack of communication afterwards when dealing with my complaint.
