BettyO's Kitchen

I discovered BettyO's Kitchen during the lockdown of tire 4 the start of December. Its Nigerian African cuisine.

I came across it on Uber Eats by scrolling. I noticed but chose to stick with something I already knew in case the food weren't to my liking.
However I soon got bored and decided to give BettyO's Kitchen a try and if I didn't like it at least I tried.

I picked the Beef Okra Stew with Poundes Yam as I'd had it before, only it has been made my a Ghanaian friend. Whilst Ghanaians and Nigerians make some of the same dishes they make them differently but as it was a dish I was familiar with it I made it my choice of dish.

The dish was lovely and wholesome. The pounded yam was fluffy, softened smooth with no lumps. The red stew was flavoursome, not watery nor watery and runny, and the beef was succulent. The okra was served in a separate container depending upon the customer as to whether they wanted to combine it with the stew or eat it separately. In addition I got hot sauce to accompany my stew as I know this dish to be on the hot/spicy side of things and it like it hot.

I later on browsed the menu and tried the Ila assorted meat Okra Soup with Pounded Yam.

The stew and soup are to very different dishes.
The soup is made with different spices and chill with the okra combined in it and has a kick to it. Being that I like hot food I got additional hit sauce.

The fired plantain not too sweet and and was not oily at all.

The moi moi is blended steamed beans make into a parcel and is lovely.

The food portions are great and filling never missing to hit the spot.
They parcel the food very well to keep it nice and hot insuring to enjoy your food hot as intended.

If your looking for a homemade meal instead of the ordinary food your use to getting, why not give it a try. I'm sure your bout to find something you'd enjoy.
