Looks official, but costs WAY more than the official service
I believed I was using the official Bulgarian e-vignette registration website. The branding and presentation of BG-vignette.bg made it look like an official service, and I did not realise that I was dealing with a private intermediary.
I paid €24.90 for a one-week Bulgarian vignette. I later discovered that the official price for the same vignette is €10, meaning I paid €14.90 more than necessary.
The payment page showed the total price of €24.90, but I did not see a clear explanation of the additional service fee or a sufficiently prominent indication that this was not the official government website.
Although I received my vignette confirmation, I am extremely disappointed by the way the service was presented. Customers should be able to distinguish an official government service from a private intermediary and understand any additional charges before paying.
I hope the company makes its status as a private intermediary and its service fees much clearer from the beginning of the customer journey.
