Both simple and confusing to build! The carrier that came with my Mini egg came with instructions and a spanner to aid construction. Very simple in all honesty and easy to do. The Egg itself not so easy. No instructions and 2 further spanners required that weren't included. Having instructions and a spanner supplied for one part of the build, you'd naturally assume the lack of further instructions / spanners meant something had been omitted from the pack. I contacted BGE and after an understandable wait, it was Bank Holiday so I expected that, I was told BGE had gone green and no longer sent instructions for the egg. Not very Green then as they sent it for part of the build! There was a QR code on the box, good luck reading instructions off of your phone ! I called in a favour off of a neighbour and used their printer. They assume people have spanners to complete, still confused why they sent one and not the 3 sizes needed! A further delay awaiting our friendly Amazon man to turn up with the spanners the next day. Oh and if you watch the video on line showing the build ignore the part where the first thing out of the box is the instructions :) .Now it's built I'm happy with it. Does what it should and I'm sure I'll have many happy days with it.

Was a shame that it doesn’t come with any cover given the price paid and weight moving indoors for winter months / rain just leads to extra cost.

The Mini is excellent for when there’s a smaller 2-4 person group to cook for - efficient use of charcoal and speedy setup. It’s a delight to use. Ends up being pricey with all the extras but it’s a uniquely high quality product.

Just love it. In this ever changing climate. I find it more and more necessary to switch our Aga off so the egg becomes our primary cooking source. Roast Chicken and slow roast shoulder of lamb never tasted better. I choose the small egg which I intend to take with me in our motorhome for a month long trip to Portugal!!

Very versatile and I have much to learn. But the grilled food is the best I’ve tasted , lovely Smokey bbq flavour. Easy yo light , heats fast and stays hot.

Bought an XL nearly new Big Green Egg from a friend who is down sizing house. - it is fantastic for larger gatherings. Decided to add a Minimax to the collection for daily use/ small gatherings- it is brilliant!! Had pizza for the first time last night - amazing The both bring a whole new world to outdoor cooking! Adding a rotisserie is next on the list!
