You advertised a car with a know safety recall.
In fact there were 2 recalls outstanding but only one critical.
The car also a rear seat belt MOT advisory.
This wasn’t some old banger it was £21000 car a considerable investment.
Your cars aren’t cheap they are market average.
You also told me that you thought that was acceptable to leave a EV uncharged above 30%. Your words not mine.
You lost a sale for £300.
The sales man Keith was polite and did his best but obviously was not able to negotiate
I am very unlikely to waste another 5 hours of my time.
Finally if you had given me the VIN number over the phone this could all have been checked before going g to site
A further note
The first car I came to see was missing trim of the front windscreen so that was a wasted visit. You expected a customer to take that while you order a part?
My advice to anyone is to check everything on the car before going to site and get the VIN of the chassis.

No one calls you back when you’re trying to get somewhere. I can honestly say our experience with Big motoring has been tiring and we were the ones doing all the work.
I have given up with this company, oh and let me not forget, every time you call to speak to a specific person they tell you “we’re very busy” and this could be any branch for example I called Enfield and Camberley and they were “always busy”. Jay NEVER called me back from Enfield very unprofessional! The only two persons that helped me were Shakeeb from
The finance team and Prasanna from Camberley and Prasanna was the only one that offered me goodwill compensation for all the trouble myself and husband had experienced with this slacking company.
We eventually decided to take our money and interest elsewhere.
Thank God!

I was provided misleading info when collecting the car regarding the additional damage coverage as the sales person did not know any detail. A day after collection, when I first drove on the motorway, it was clear there was an issue with the car when over 60mph, which I immediately reported using the warranty app, which said I would be contacted within 2 business days. Having not heard from anyone in 3 days I called the customer service number and was told I would be contacted soon. This was 3 business days ago and I have still not been called or emailed. I am concerned there is a safety issue with the car that needs addressing ASAP. Please contact me.

Huge brilliant hanger with thousands of used cars that are being offered to crowds of excited customers, like a car city. I did a training deal and bought a good Golf GTE

Unfortunately after 2 visits where we were given very good customer service, ending in us reserving a car on the final visit where we returned to check and collect the car we found out that vital info about the car hasn’t been relayed to us and so this effected the purchase of the car. We were then not given very good customer service at all; a new car was suggested to test drive but it had 0% electric charge and so what was meant to be a quick collection visit turned into a 5 hour long and drawn out process of waiting around to test and check a car and eventually complete purchase paperwork
Such a shame the experience turned out so bad

We visited Big Motoring World Enfield with view to purchase of a car. Within minutes of our arrival we were met by a sales team who was very professional and helpful in our purchase.
The car was delivered to our nominated showroom on time and was all prepared for us to drive away on the same day

Good range of cars unfortunately staff do not all do there jobs as will as they should and sometimes and this is something I found frustrating also when the car was ready to be collected they washed the car but I wish I had said don’t bother cleaning the car as it was not done well and all the seat had been made damp not great

Incompetence as almost every stage of the process. Don’t bother making appointment as it doesn’t mean you get seen any sooner.
Booked to test drive a car. Got there after 25 minutes waiting got a sale rep. Then after a load of usual patter. Off to get the car he went. And so our wait began another 20 minutes go by reappears with no car and then disappears again for around another 10 minutes. Finally we get to see the car. The rep having driven. The car failed to notice that a pillar cover had fallen off. Blocking driver Veiw. He then said we couldn’t test drive. Fine understandable. So we ask to drive the other car of same model just to see if we like the make/ model. Then get told the other one isn’t available. Fine as wasted trip . He assured us it would be fixed by 3pm Monday so we can test drive it then. Fine
We go home reserve the car online book appointment at 3PM Monday. Arrive Monday car still broken. Sales rep much better far more helpful. Test drive decide to buy.
Needed to move collection date tried 4 times via phone 2hrs on hold never got through rubbish service. Emailed never got replied to either. Just rubbish.
Arrived to collect and even then they don’t know what was going. Wanted payment before proving the car had been fixed. More dodgy garage vibes than national retailer.

On the first day we visited to view our reserved car, we liked it straight away. Everything was exactly as expected, so we left a deposit and came back the next day to collect it.
The whole process was smooth and well organised. The car was fully charged before collection and it was also washed and cleaned inside, which was a nice touch.
5-day insurance option was arranged quickly and road tax was sorted at the same time, making everything very easy for us.
The only minor issue was that the second key card wasn’t available, but this was handled professionally - we received a £50 refund and ordered second card from the Tesla website the same day.
Very professional, polite and efficient service from start to finish. Definitely recommend.

We didn’t have a good experience going to different car dealerships and wished to see a few cars. We were with Mert Yigit who was very kind easy to talk too. I didn’t feel like he was trying to push us to buy a particular car. He in fact helped steer us towards a golf that we bought. The process was very easy, even while talking about extended warranty which they gave us a discount.

I purchased a vehicle (registration LR69 ZXN) from Big Motoring World on 3 March 2026 and reported a fault with the driver’s window the following day — it does not close properly due to a mechanical failure.
An independent diagnostic confirmed that the window regulator is faulty and has also caused damage to the window seal, clearly indicating the issue was present at the time of sale.
Despite providing a full diagnostic report on 19 March 2026 and repeatedly chasing for a resolution, Big Motoring World have delayed this matter for weeks and are now refusing to carry out a complete repair. Instead, they are attempting to rely on warranty exclusions, which is not applicable when a vehicle has been sold with an inherent fault.
I have effectively been sold a car with a known defect, and the aftersales handling has been unacceptable.
I am now resorting to escalating the matter to my finance provider, who is jointly liable, as well as to The Motor Ombudsman.
Based on this experience, I would strongly advise others not to purchase vehicles from Big Motoring World.

Please avoid this place unless you want to lose your mental peace. There is actually a YouTube channel and FB community consisting of over 7K members sharing their bad experience with this place. I’ve been stringed along with false promises of an EV battery health check, along with a promise that £500 deposit would be refundable. Now, after paying the deposit no communication, no emails and no refund on deposit. The sales manager who works from Saturday to Tuesday is the worst person I’ve ever come across, with dirty sales tactics and malpractices. I’m in process of taking legal action to get my deposit back which was promised to me as a fully refundable deposit. Good luck buying a car from this place and expecting any after sales care. These crooks simply don’t answer any phone calls or communicate via emails to cover their lies. You have been warned!

The colleague who saw us was professional, efficient and didn’t try to sell us stuff we didn’t want! Great

We initially were happy with the service provided, service was reasonably quick, the sales process was reassured to be an easy process with a clean and fully charged EV.
This was before we paid the deposit. After we paid the deposit and returning back, we had to wait 25 minutes to pay the remaining balance on the vehicle. Whilst not an issue, we then went to go collect the car. We completed all exchanges of information. We were then told the car wasn’t washed. We thought no issue. We waited a further 25 minutes where the car was actually still quite dirty with mud throughout the car and the car still dusty . We had travelled around 40 miles to get to the location. The vehicle had not been charged since we had test drove it and had 10 miles left on it. We had to pay to charge it. In the boot, there were items from the previous owner that had not been cleared out with workman gloves present.
The car had not been cleaned or checked or charged despite being explicitly stated it would have done so.
We expect a greater level of care from this company which we did not receive. We will not be purchasing from Big Motoring World again and urge all those looking to proceed with caution.

Really happy with car. Our advisor was so helpful. HOWEVER as soon as we purchased every thing was a nightmare. Couldn’t get them on the phone to take the deposit, because their sales team who were trying to upsell us weren’t available. Said no 100 times to the extras, and still kept getting calls and offers (so much for no haggling). Booked us in to come and collect the car and they’d booked us on a day where they’d closed. Went back to collection people to ask another question and everyone basically said “not my problem”. Compensated us £50 (had to really push) like that’s enough. Car was given to us half charged despite them promising it would have a full charge. Had to send it back to valet and even then not clean. Great car and our advisor was great but honestly every other person there couldn’t have been less helpful, still not over driving 22 miles there and 22 miles back to a shut store. Go elsewhere, not worth the hassle.
