Buyer beware of hidden expenses....

Well, I should have checked Trust Pilot before taking my business to this firm. 2.3 seems too high a score to me!

I clarified three separate times "the price out of the door is $X..." - it wasn't. They added on "Alignment" charges of of $190... despite me asking upfront does it include Alignment - "yes"

Heather's performance as manager at Big…

Heather's performance as manager at Big O Tires is not meeting expectations due to unprofessional behavior affecting her leadership. The behavior includes lengthy personal calls after hours, inappropriate language, and derogatory comments about staff and customers. The store has potential but is hindered by management issues. Employees are frequently denied breaks and lunches and treated unprofessionally, contributing to high turnover. The requirement for employees to work beyond store hours daily indicates poor management. I suggest upper management look closely at Heather's management skills. Big O could be profitable and a pleasant work environment with a more experienced and educated manager.

I'm not very happy with Big O

Well first bill was awesome helping me out for free but didn't there are free help failed and didn't filled twice and didn't felt a third time and now they just won't fix it not only that it was my body mount bolts and bushings and only two of them match the other four are all different. Dinner's the one that they just didn't bother put in the bottom bushing in and refuse to give me a invoice because I didn't pay for anything but that's beside the point they broke my truck I told him not to Pat themselves on the back too fast. I feel like the intentionally or just ignorantly put my life at risk didn't bother informing me of any risk which there is a big one it's cost me over it's cost almost $1,000 in towing because of their faulty repair and it's going to cost another $700 just to get it looked at and documented at the dealership and then I still have to pay for the repairs that Big O did wrong. Sean probably looking at about another anywhere from $500 to $2,000 and I haven't had a vehicle for over a month because of Big O not holding themselves accountable and they are negligent and liable for the cost of my repairs and my losses they should be paying for this not me this is stuff I didn't have to do until they got a hold of my truck. Then there's all the damage to the body that they did put in the Jackson the wrong spots you can clearly see the damage on the truck itself and one or two of the pictures. I've been taking my trucks and cars to big old for years like 40 years and I've never had such bad service such negligence and such flat-out denial of any kind of responsibility whatsoever and then they try to have me arrested for trespassing when I took them a letter instead of course they refused to take. So you can see I am not very happy with Big O at all I will never take any of my vehicles to them again. In fact I probably won't even buy a vehicle that has any kind of record ever being at a Big O for any reason. And this is ongoing this is been going on with these guys for about a month now so there's no specific date because it hasn't stopped yet I'm still paying for everything that they broke

Customer Service Not Satisfactory

I would like to think the gentleman who attempted to help me was simply having a bad day. However, it still resulted in a disappointing experience.

I went into the store to ask how much it would cost to install a set of tires I had recently purchased from OfferUp. I did not mention how much I paid for them. The representative did not come outside to inspect the tires and, in my opinion, seemed uninterested—possibly due to the heat or just having an off day. He curtly quoted me $200 plus tax for installation.

When I asked if that price included balancing, he said it did not. I felt the price was too high, so I stepped outside to call other shops. At that point, he came out and asked to look at the tires. After inspecting them, he confirmed the same price of $200.

I then contacted a competitor, Discount Tire, and was told the service would be free—including balancing. I was surprised, but when I went there, they honored exactly what they promised. They even went a step further by offering text reminders for future tire rotations.

Overall, the experience at this location fell short of expectations, especially when compared to the level of service I received elsewhere.

How to lose a customer

I’ve been a customer at Big O Tires (on Menaul, Albuquerque) for years. With few exceptions, it has been my go-to for tires and oil changes; I’ve spent over $3,000 in recent years.
Last time I bought tires there (last August), I was owed a warranty credit for pro-rated mileage. The employee forgot to apply it, then told me he would issue a credit for $200 for future service. I thought the $200 was low, but fair enough—or so it seemed.
The next time I went in for an oil change (December), I was charged the usual price ($88; consistent for a couple of years), which included a $20 discount (also consistent),and it was absorbed by the credit. My receipt showed $111.98 credit remaining. So far so good.
I went in for an oil change today, asked for the discount, and was told the $20 discount was available and was quoted the price of about $97, which was $9 more than the past couple of years, as recent as last December, but prices go up, right? It’s not the best deal for full-synthetic, but I thought it was worth it for reliable service. I mentioned the credit at check-in, and was told it would be taken care of at check-out.
At check-out time, I was told it would be about $107, and I mentioned the credit again; it was apparently noted in the computer program. After a phone call for ‘authorization,’ I was told that the credit would be applied, but that the $111.98 would be zeroed out, and no discount was possible. In discussion—with the person who had approved the usual discount at check-in—I was told there could be no discount with a credit.
This made no sense to me, as I had been owed the credit for several months; basically, Big O had my money, paid in advance, and was now denying me the usual discount—because the company had made a mistake on a purchase months ago?
The representative wouldn’t budge, but said he would ‘see if I could get a $20 credit added.’

So, in summary, the price of an oil change went from $88 to $112 in three months—a $24 increase—because Big O made a mistake and owed me money. And I learned that a verbal discount promised at check-in wasn’t worth the paper it wasn’t printed on.

That’s how to lose a long-time customer.
Constructive criticism: keep your word. It's that simple.

My Vehicle: 2013 Ford Escape Titanium, FWD 66k mi.

I can't say enough good things about the Big O Tire Store located on Pecos ave. in Henderson Nevada.

Since moving 3 yrs ago to the area I have had Big O replace tires, all power drivetrain fluids and it now handles and drives again like new. Their kind recommendations have been spot on and welcomed as I am a retired machine builder and mechanic of 40 years but no longer setup to wrench much to maintain it by myself but only to recognize the importance of maintaining.
Their efforts here during these Nevada summers have kept my vehicle safe, reliable, and fun to own and operate.

Also thanks to Big O my MPG is again back to MFG's specs using premium gas and full synthetic oil changes every 5000 miles.
I salute these Humble Hard Chargers at Big O, Pecos et al!
Highly recommend
Dc.

A $12 inspection turned into over $1500…

A $12 inspection turned into over $1500 in damages. I went in for a basic inspection so I could update my tags. They told me about the couple things that needed fixed like my wipers so it would pass inspection. I went ahead and had them fix the issues. In the process, I was told it would be about 10 more minutes. Almost an hour later my car was backed in and was the only car backed in the parking lot. The poor girl behind the counter couldn’t find my keys and I finally told them I was going out to my car one way or another. It turns out they backed in my car to hide the damage they did from backing it into another vehicle. The manager was very unprofessional with how he dealt with us by letting me sit in the lobby for as long as he did not letting me know about any damages until he was ready to shuffle me out the door. I got the three quotes required and spent almost 3 days of my time trying to fix what they did. After I turned in the quotes, I told them I would prefer to be cut a check instead of using one of the places that quoted me the price (my choice). The manager told me that if he has to pay for my bumper, he will be sending it to a shop. I informed him I brought in a whole car for a $12 inspection and he has no grounds to stand when he not only wrecked my car, but tried to hide the fact that he did it. We ended up getting the regional manager involved, who is very professional however his communication skills in setting deadlines are definitely not his strongest skills. We had to move the deadline on my check three times(3 weeks) and I was told it would be overnighted to me. It was sent priority and it wasn’t sent until I told him I had not received it yet. It seems like lying and dishonesty are also really Big character traits to be in management at Big O. I will not be using this shop or company again and I really do hope the city of Branson does take some action so our citizens don’t have to keep going through this. By the way, when I went to cash the check at the bank the teller informed me this was either the seventh or eighth check from damages that this location has done THIS YEAR. Good job for being the worst part of the best city in Missouri.

DO NOT GET THERE

I am filing a complaint regarding repeated negative experiences at a Big O Tires location in College Station, TX. Over multiple visits, I experienced unprofessional behavior from front desk staff, poor communication, and the need to call repeatedly just to request basic service or follow up. Staff attitude was dismissive and at times confrontational. I was also repeatedly pressured to approve additional repairs and replacements that I did not request, and the pricing was inconsistent with previous quotes, which caused confusion and frustration. More concerning, during a prior oil change service, my vehicle was returned with an oil leak, raising serious concerns about technical competence and attention to detail. Due to the combination of aggressive upselling, inconsistent pricing, unprofessional conduct, and poor workmanship, I no longer trust this location and believe these practices are unacceptable for a professional automotive service provider.

Do Not Go There

The low tire pressure light came on and I drove 3 blocks to inflate, and the light went off. I then drove 7.2 miles to Big O Tire, located at 7622 Wornell Rd., Kansas City, MO 64114, the light was still off and tire inflated. Upon arrival, I was told 1-person was ahead of me and would take less than 1-hour. After 2.5 hours I approached the counter and told the mechanic failed to bring the ticket to the counter and how the tire could not be fixed, because the sidewall had been damaged because I drove it flat. They wanted to sell me a tire for $124.99, installation package-$25.00, tire disposal-$4.50, tire tax-$0.50 and tire protection plan-$20.00 for a total of $174.99. When I left, the tire was still inflated, and the low tire pressure light was on. I then went to another tire shop, and they found a nail in the tire and fixed it for $20.00. Several days later the low-pressure light has not returned and the tire was fixed. I had to return because they had given me someone else’s invoice.
Prior to this time, I was there to have my rear brakes checked and was told I needed pads, rotors and other parts. Took it elsewhere and was told I only needed pads. The cost of their pads was double the cost and the labor they wanted to charge was $50.00 more than what I paid. As for the tune up quoted, they listed 3 things that I needed, fuel injection kit-$119.00, plugs-$159.96, ignition coil-$999.96, for a total of parts to cost $1,453.91, and the fuel service labor-$80.00, and tune electronic labor-$195.00, for $275.00 for a total of $1728.91 is ridiculous, as I was told from 2-other shops that I just need the plugs and maybe the coils. The price of their parts are double the amount if purchased elsewhere. I hate that I did not read their bad reviews before I went, and I will not return nor recommend them.

Not trustworthy

Horrible attitude at store, did not disclose $35 ordering fee for a $260 tire which was readily and locally available ( they had the tire in store very quickly) and hid the charge under ‘State Waste Disposal Fee’ which is $5 in Colorado. Only fessed up on the $35 charge when I found and pointed out that they had charged a $40.50 Waste Disposal fee

First time ever going in this place

First time ever going in this place. I needed two front tires and a alignment. Quoted me with 170 dollars per tire for 340.00 plus alignment total cost 650 dollars. ?? I told the rep. I wanted the cheapo 108 dollar tires. Said it would take a couple of days to get those. You are in tire business are you not? So I said; How much for just the alignment? Oh, I do not think our equipment will fit your rims. Not good business... I can do the job myself and get tires for under 200 dollars. I wouldn't of minded to pay a little extra for just not having to do it myself. My recommendation is to stay away from this place. Gouging is happening there.

I have gone to Big O for yrs & they were always honest not pushing products. New management a few months ago at Martin City, Mo.. I knew I needed new front tires. It was BigO that told me at least 6months ago or more. Different management. No pressure. Back were fine.Suddenly they say the back have rot. Total lie. I dont think they do background checks or they dont care about character or integrity. Just sales anyway they can get it.
Won't go back while under this new management including desk clerks. Too dishonest. Disappointed in the service guys, they likely do what their told... but they do quality work on vehicles.

Warranties mean nothing at Big O of Bowling Green Ky. There manager kept telling me that the DOT recommends replacing your tires every 5 years! Well mine are not 5 years old yet and are dry rotted! The warranty states life time warranty for materials and workmanship. Well I have news for them. Dry rotted tires in less time then what even the DOT state they should be changed is a problem with materials. This is the third time I’ve had trouble with this Big O and they have lost my business now forever

Steve at Big O Tires is the most amazing guy! I was on a cross country trip, when I lost the lock nut on my tire after getting a flat tire and putting on the spare tire. So I had a tire to put on the car, I just couldn't get any of the tires off, because I lost the lock nut. Steve got me all straight, and took care of me like I was family! Intimidation/Bait-And-Switch

On October 20, 2025, I went to Big O Tires in Orem on State Street and was subjected to a ridiculous bait-and-switch scam by Big O employees whose conduct demonstrated defensiveness/knowledge what they were doing is wrongful/unlawful. I called and spoke to Randy before arriving, explaining that my brake pads sounded like they were rubbing or scratching, and that I thought I may need new brake pads (on my 2018 Travato, a Dodge Ram 3500 Promaster with Winnie build out). I arrived and Randy gave me a bid of $1600 which seemed like a lot, but he stated that my brake pads and rotors were in need of replacement and that a caliper was “stuck.” He said my Ram brakes pads etc. cost more than most cars . . . then came back with a new estimate of $1719.70 in writing, stating that he “forgot” to add a charge. He drew a large, bold line under $1719.70, in black ink indicating the “bottom line,” total charge for the work. I reluctantly agreed to pay $1719.70, but it seemed odd that he “forgot” a charge when he does this daily. The work began and Randy left. When the work was done, Trevor handed me a bill for $1878.97. I said this is not the amount I agreed to pay, and that Big O employees changed the amount twice, increasing it by nearly $300 in an apparent bait-and-switch maneuver. Trevor tried telling me the increase was due to sales tax, then showed me the “bottom line” document Randy had shown me and someone had taken a blue ink pen and written “+ tax” just below the $1719.70 that Randy had boldly underlined with black ink as the bottom line. I pointed out that someone else had added the “+ tax” after I agreed to the $1719.70 total and that they hadn’t even bothered to use the same color of pen, then tried to tell me that the “+ tax” had been there all along. It was not; had it been there I would have asked for the real total, bottom line. I told Trevor this was inappropriate behavior by the Big O employees, and someone had obviously added (in blue ink) additional charges that were not presented to me and that I did not agree to. Then, in front of other employees and customers, Trevor raised his voice and loudly shouted in my face, “You’re FU*KING freaking out about sales tax!!” I calmly replied that he was the one raising his voice and using the “F word,” and my complaint was not about tax, but about the bait-and-switch shenanigans by the Big O employees. As a lawyer of over 35 years, I am aware of these types of tactics, and especially how, once caught, dishonest people tend to shout and bully and intimidate customers, as Trevor did to me. Surely Big O is doing something wrong to create an incentive among its employees to treat customers this way. As a former employment lawyer, I cannot imagine that Big O does not know about this or is not encouraging it. I am here to help anyone who needs help or a witness to what these clowns are doing at Big O in Orem, Utah. I can be reached via my civil rights website, LordAdvocates (.org).
