Africa and Claudia did a great job in the legal process of buying our new property (as they did in selling our previous house last year). Helpful and efficient, and very good that B&B have a local office in Fordingbridge. Would definitely recommend them. Mark B

Carl Raybould offered his detailed advice with both prfessionalism and patience. I have no hesitation in recommending him.
The worst firm we have dealt with in over 30 years as a mortgage broker
Obstinate ,unprofessional ,inefficient ,dismissive...I could go on
Instruct them at your peril...you have been warned
Mr Carl Raybould was quick to grasp the essence of the issue and demonstrated his knowledge in advising both what could be done and what must be avoided.
The issue involved aspects of company law and property law applied to freehold and leasehold property.
In my opinion Bonallack & Bishop provided a very good and prompt service to me. I can recommend their professionalism.

I can’t rate Hollie, Martin, Anita and Máté highly enough. They completed the sale and purchase for me efficiently and professionally. Any Query I had was answered promptly and they were always happy to talk in the phone and office. Martin helped me with the documents and was a great help in getting me what I needed to complete. Thank you once again.
Very happy with the service I have received from the Bonallack and Bishop team in Fordingbridge.
It wasn’t as straight forward as I had anticipated, but they worked very hard, gave good advice, gained all the documentation required and in the end the completion was very smooth and we completed on the day we had agreed.
When I purchase my next property I will use them again. Very professional and I felt I was in safe hands throughout.
A fantastic service from Anne and the Bonallack and Bishop team. What made this experience all the better was using a local company, so being able to speak to them personally and see them in person, in fact being encouraged to do so. So much better than dealing with a remote, nameless, faceless service.

Working with the team in the Fordingbridge office has been a pleasure all the way through a challenging land purchase transaction. Anne has been amazingly efficient and patient, and everything has been communicated clearly and quickly which has taken a lot of the stress out of the process. Many thanks, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend your services.

Working with Bonallack & Bishop Andover was a pleasant experience. I have dealt with over 50 solicitors’ firms over the last 25 years (buying, selling and remortgaging property). I was impressed by the politeness and efficiency of the Bonallack & Bishop team. Razwaana Akhtar was the solicitor dealing with my sale. Surprisingly, she was available on direct dial to discuss anything. I have not experienced this before – usually you have to go through receptionists, and leave messages, and sometimes wait for days before you can speak to the solicitor. Razwaana was competent, knowledgeable and efficient. Tabitha Kerrigan (on the property team) was contactable, friendly and professional. Even the head of Residential Conveyancing (Chris Tate) answered his direct dial phone when I phoned him late one Friday afternoon. I never detected any hint of irritation or annoyance from any member of the team at being contacted, or for requesting them to do something. This total lack of antagonism towards the client, and the friendliness and even a degree of humility – were a breath of fresh air. I would highly recommend Bonallack & Bishop Andover.

The service has been excellent. The team are very responsive which is a rare thing for solicitors and conveyancers. I needed to complete in 20 working days for an auction purchase and they have managed it with no fuss. Well done. The only reason for not giving 5* was there were two genuine mistakes in the billing.

Carl has worked tirelessly to help us solve a difficult and challenging house move problem. His knowledge and expertise have been incredible and we can not thank him enough for his hard work, persistence and dedication. From the very beginning, Carl has gone above and beyond to guide us through every hurdle. His professionalism, patience, and determination have been truly invaluable, and we are so grateful for his support. We would highly recommend Carl to anyone in need of expert help—his commitment and expertise are second to none
A very bad experience. Senior Partner, Tim Bishop’s ethos of ‘…. wanting clients to be treated in the way he would want to be treated’ is laughable, unless he has set a very low bar. One star awarded as there was no lower option, although they did get the job, as executor for an estate, completed after nearly two tortuous years.
I would not expect phrases like ‘I may have acted hastily’ or ‘that was overlooked’ to come from the Head of Private Client (at £275/hour) who was processing the estate. After leaving abruptly we were passed on to a locum solicitor who was poorly managed and supervised and demonstrated a remarkable level of mediocrity by wasting a lot of time at our expense chasing a refund of a payment made in haste by the executor earlier in the process, despite being told it was a futile exercise and should only be undertaken in the executor’s own time and at his own expense.
After the locum left abruptly (that was the second surprise departure we experienced) a complaint was processed internally by a new Head of Private Client, effectively akin to marking your own homework, which resulted in a derisory compensation offer which was followed by an ultimatum to accept it or be charged for all future time spent if we wanted to continue arguing the case. We had no option other than to accept and cut our losses.
It is also worth noting that a Trust document relevant to the estate, drawn up by Bonallack & Bishop in 2016, contained a significant factual error which was clearly signed and witnessed without being thoroughly checked.
Finally, the overall bill came to nearly twice the original estimate (of £6k) which we thought was pretty steep anyway.
My recommendation would be to avoid Bonallack & Bishop if you possibly can.
Andover office- They were great with both a flat sale and the purchase of my new house. They were quick to friend to emails, answer phone calls and helpful with queries.

I highly recommend Rebecca Smith at Bonallack & Bishop for any Land Dispute issues. Without her help we could easily have started a long legal battle with only a 50/50 chance of success. Rebecca was the only solicitor to request us to document our concerns so that she could provide a clear plan and quote for the work. Once engaged, she provided all the legal information and guidance we required and she kept to her schedule. We are now fully aware of our legal position and our rights plus the risks involved. This has given us the assurance and determination to move forward.
Based on our experience, we will definitely consider Bonallack & Bishop for any other legal work in the future.
