Poor buying experience
I bought a "Like New" TP Link Archer C3150 router from this seller (BIT-electronix) on Amazon and they sent a V1 hardware version in November 2020. This is unacceptable to me.
I contacted the seller before shipping and explicitly mentioned that I need a V2 router, this was my message:
> I have just placed an order for a TP Link Router AC3150 (Like new). Please ensure and confirm that this is a V2 hardware version prior to shipping, otherwise if it is an older V1 model let me know to cancel the order.
And this was the reply I got next day, then they shipped the package 1h and 31 minutes later before I got the chance to reply back:
> the manufacturer has several versions of this article, but unfortunately neither a new EAN is given nor a new article number or description is provided.
> Since our warehouse is also located at a different location, we unfortunately do not know which version you will receive.
The pictures in the product description clearly show a V2 version router and other customers also mentioned receiving the V2 version from 2018 onwards.
The version is printed on the router itself, which came in a plastic bubble wrap (no box) so it would be visible just by looking at it. It would have taken them 30 seconds to check.
I believe this is false advertising and now they want me to pay for return shipping because the seller does not know what he is selling, very ironic and outrageous.
This is the reply I got from them regarding returns:
> we have already told you that we do not know which version you will receive because the manufacturer uses the same EAN for each version.
> Since you seem to have assumed from the example picture that you will receive version 2, although we have told you that we do not know which version you will receive, you will have to pay the return costs.
They keep blaming the manufacturer, but I did not buy this router from the manufacturer. A seller should know his products and stock.
In my opinion a seller that doesn't know what products he is selling and doesn't care about customer needs should find a different line of work.
They are now trying to take down my review claiming that "bit-electronix has flagged your review because they don't believe you've had a genuine experience with them". I have proof of everything I've said here so this is obviously a cheap lie.
@bit-electronix
Good luck with the attitude guys, if you used half this effort doing your job instead of fighting reviews your rating would be better and your customers would be happier. Just note that even if you somehow do manage to lie and get my reviews deleted I will still ensure that other customers hear about my experience.
