Multi tool

Have a multi tool that was never used until now. It has various attachments including a triangular shaped sander. Well decorating the kitchen and sanding a few imperfections on the ceiling. Approx 45min later smell burning and the sanding plate fell to the floor having melted. Not impressed so had to purchase a alternative sander. Waste of money as not upto a simple job and not unusual for this companies products. Similarly had a electric lawnmower that had a plastic gear driving the blade mechanism that had worn away after ever season which needed replacing every year.

Garbage product and even worse customer…

Garbage product and even worse customer service. 3 out of 4 of the customer service people I spoke with were terrible. Called 2 complain about the customer service and the next 1 was even worse. Like wow! This is how you run your company? No thank you! I will never purchase another 1 of your products in my lifetime I promise!

Worst customer service

I bought a BLACK+DECKER 20V MAX Lithium String Trimmer/Edger Plus Sweeper Combo from Amazon. The battery died in few months. Amazon refused to replace the battery. Black and Decker customer service agreed to replace the battery and they never did. It's been 3 months now and they are ignoring my messages. I will never buy another Black and Decker equipment and I will never recommend B&D to anyone.

I had purchased a 60v Cordless Trimmer…

I had purchased a 60v Cordless Trimmer and was having issues with the string replacement spools breaking prematurely inside the unit. I purchased many of them and kept having the same experience over the past couple of years. Black and Decker support seemed to be either aware of the issue or just generous in offering a replacement Trimmer (different model) or replacement spools to cover my cost. My experience was much better than with Ryobi when their product failed to reach my expectations. Because of that, I won't hesitate to buy another Black and Decker product in the future.

Worst Customer Service, plus their warranty is a lie

I wasted about 40 minutes on your site's chat and, when that didn't work, on the automated phone line. Both times I had to enter an annoying amount of info only to find that you bot was too stupid to take down my address. Then the phone bot said it would send me a text link to complete the request for a warranty repair, but, of course, it sent nothing. So their 1-yr warranty is a deception. In reality, there is no warranty, like there is no cust serv.

It’s a 0 rated product providers..
Just 2 months back we purchased Black & Becker blender BX 530-B5, it turned out worst like anything, absolute wastage of money.
I would not recommend anyone to go for it
And I would request that you please make your products durable and standardized, people buy your products with trust and it is disheartening to be disappointed.

If I could give it a 0 star

If I could give it a 0 star, I definitely would.
So black and decker sent me a defective portable washer. I selected the cycle for normal wash and the water wouldn't come out. The only cycle the water would be released is Heavy duty and when the clothes are finished washing they come out full of soap and the water is not draining properly. I called customer service and they advised they would send us a replacement but we needed to cover the cost of sending the plug (cut the plug off the cord) & receipt back. Which is no problem had they issued a waybill/ return label. We didn't chose to buy a defective machine or an open box item this is supposed to be brand new and in good order. When we asked to speak to the manager, the person kept telling us, we don't have a manager, it's our policy, no we don't do that. They have horrible customer service and they sell defective items. Save your money and go to LG or samsung for a good washer, save you the time and the headache. Worse experience, I will never use black and decker again.

Customer Service is a thing of the Past

You decide as below was my last email in a year of emails to their customer services To date I have received no response.
‘Not only am I disappointed with your product I am even more disappointed with your Customer Service.
Purchased Black and Decker Strimmer STC182OP26/04/2021
1st request for repair 13/11/2022 due to trigger sticking.
Responded 15/11/2022.
Had issues sending back due to non-collection.
Finally picked up 22/11/2022
Advised via email product was repaired 29/11/2022.
Received repaired product 30/11/2022.
Checked product and advised I was not very happy with the repair and requested the following.
Is this a common floor in what in my opinion is a very good trimmer, has it not been repaired properly or is it just poor inspection before returning.
Advised the trigger had been replaced 1/12/2022 but required further information from me.
You requested the item to be returned again and advised it was under warranty until 26/04/2023.
Item returned 02/12/2022.
A new Strimmer was sent to me around 09/12/2022.
The new strimmer remained un-used throughout the Winter.
Not many people would have a use for a strimmer in the Winter.
Due to the poor weather of 2023 my garden has hardly been touched and the Strimmer has only been used 3 times.
Advised of faulty Trigger 01/09/2023
You advised 04/09/2023 that the Strimmer is out of warranty, which I find very poor, as the quality of the Trigger is obviously defective, to have Two Strimmer’s and a repaired Trigger pack up for the same reason.’
Quite frankly there is nothing I can do other than go to small claims as Trading Standards do not get involved in companies that supply faulty products unless dangerous. Small claims is just hassle so they will get away with poor service over and over again as unfortunately do most companies nowadays. Service is definitely a thing of the past!

Don't expect any product support

I recently purchased a B&D canister vacumn cleaner model BDXCAV217
It is time to replace the 2 internal filters; 1. particulate and 2. HEPA.
The manual explains when to replace and gives part numbers but no reference where to buy.
I checked the usual on-line sources---no luck.
I went to the B&D website. No listing for any filters?? On the help page the suggest contacting an authorized service center, of course none are listed. Internet search showed one near me. Called them...no filters, said no one has ever asked for them?? Said call the main Dewalt company in Atlanta..but did not know the number...you should be sensing a 'theme' by now. Internet search, called Atlanta number, no answer. Back to B&D contact page...sent an email to the company. Got a rapid response to call yet another company for parts. Called, they only accept voice-mail messages...left message...still waiting.
I cannot understand how a company as large as Dewalt (owns B&D) doesn't have better CS than this. Although the unit itself is actually a good little vacuum, filters have to be replaced to maintain efficiency and this whole situation is simple unprofessi09onal.

Toaster Oven/Air Fryer dissapointment

Black and deckers Toaster Oven/Air Fryer does a good job but the crum tray was designed by a 3rd grader..

So idiotically simple that it leaves all the crumbs in the toaster itself. Also the doors of such devices should be detachable for cleaning.. but that too doesn’t occur to these “product engineers”

Absolutely shocking customer service!

Absolutely shocking customer service. Ive purchased other refurbished products before that have all had light use and in excellent comestic
condition. But here that doesn't seem to be the case so I would buy with caution... my product came with
a broken grass bin and dents & blemishes. I quote the email "cosmetic damage, dents, blemishes or anything that does not effect the excellent working order of the reconditioned mower are not covered
and this is why they are sold at a discounted price"

Customer services have stopped responding to my emails so at this stage I'm not hopeful I'll receive a new replacement grass bin.

Black & Decker never issue refunds or pay compensation

I don't need to share the details of my experience. This is all you need to know:

If you buy a Black & Decker product, ensure the terms and conditions of the retailer you purchase it from allows you to return it for a refund AFTER you have assembled or / and use it.

Should you need to return the product, Black & Decker won't refund you under any circumstances.

If you experience poor customer service from Black & Decker they won't pay you a penny in compensation.

I am £79 out of pocket and vow to never buy another Black & Decker product.

NEVER BUY BLACK AND DECKER PRODUCTS

Brilliant product spent money on accessories for years three homes ive worked with the quattro pro. dont make battery and charger anymore throw the whole thing in the bin. Asked their support answer, discontinued charger and battery so can not use here is the part number, wow wow. I actually asked is there ANY COMPATIBLE OR WAY OF CHARGING A BATTERY ETC.

Air fryer/ toaster oven

This air fryer/toaster oven does nothing but use electricity.Warms nothing,would not even melt cheese on broil for over 30 minutes.Air fryer woul not brown french fries even after hour.Thos was a waste of money.It use to be a trusted brand.Another casualty of out sourcing and going cheap.

black and decker 12 cup coffee pot

bought a black and decker 12 cup coffee maker. got home and there was something loose inside the sealed unit (sounded like a screw perhaps) so i returned to the store and exchanged it for another one. the second one had no sound from anything loose inside so i thought i was good to go...

the second one lasted about 2 months, not even long enough to go through a can of coffee. would make a good paperweight!

I'll never purchase another black and decker product again!
